Mrs. Tera Shae Sprowles of Campbellsville was born in Green County on March 17, 1977. She departed this life on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was 47 years of age. Mrs. Sprowles had made a confession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.

Tera had a kind and gentle spirit, and a passion for helping others. She was a longtime employee of Green River Trails Rehabilitation Center (formerly Green Hill Manor), having worked as a RN there for 17 years. Life’s simple pleasures, like sitting on her porch watching her flowers grow or a relaxing day at the beach, was what brought her the most joy. Her genuine laugh and compassionate heart will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Her husband: Travis Lynn Sprowles of Campbellsville,

A daughter: Jada LaShae Pierce of Campbellsville,

Her parents: Jerry Wayne Pierce of Greensburg, and Beverly Ann and David Bloyd of Summersville,

A brother: Jeff Pierce and wife Tonya of Summersville,

All of her coworkers and friends at Green River Trails,

And countless other family members and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Shreve and Sybil Pepper, and Ray and Myrtle Pierce.

Tera had requested cremation be accorded her. There will be a memorial service to honor her life on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 7:00 PM EST (6:00 PM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville. Bro. Thomas Metcalfe will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 21, from 5:00 PM EST (4:00 PM CST) until time for the service.

Randy Lee Cox, 58

Randy Lee Cox, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Thelbert and Dorothy Olean (Garrett) Cox, was born Ocotber 28, 1966 in Greensburg and departed this life on Saturday, February 15, 2025 in Greensburg at the Green River Trails. He was 58 years of age.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents: Darlis and Viola Garrett Cox and Sam Allen and Sally Garrett.

Survivors include three sisters and three brothers: Brenda Edwards and husband Jim, Ruby Galloway and Russell Dewayne Cox and wife Lisa, all of Greensburg, Bonita Shofner, Ricky Dale Cox and Charles Thelbert Cox all of Campbellsville and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Randy Lee Cox will be on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Tallow Creek Cemetery.

Jewelline Shipp

Jewelline Shipp of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late Creed Thomas Allen and Gertrude Carlisle Allen, was born February 20, 1952 in Campbellsville, KY, and departed this life on Tuesday, February 9, 2025 in Elizabethtown. She was 73 years of age.

She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Fruit of The Loom. She enjoyed bowling, watching television, shopping with her sister and spending time with her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is survived by her sister, Ruby Sanders of Greensburg and eleven nieces and nephews: Jason Pace and wife Alisha, Misty Smith and husband Tommy, Crystal Gebler and husband Phillip, Bradley Pace and wife Katie, Chris Morgan and companion Sherri, Paul R Allen and companion Verniece, Danny Allen and wife Jenny, Jannifer Fisher and husband Lee, Amanda Allen and husband William, Scottie Allen, Marie Hammack and husband Kevin, and several great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Sammy Allen, Charles Allen, and Mary Pike.

The Funeral Service for Jewelline Shipp will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Otter Creek Cemetery.

Bro. Daniel Marcum will officiate.

The family has requested visitation on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

Martha Elizabeth Gordon Greer Brim

Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Gordon Greer Brim of Campbellsville passed from this life on Monday, February 10, 2025 at her home. Daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Edna Alberta Fincher Gordon, she was 85 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Brim loved being outdoors; she especially loved camping with her husband, Tilford. It was said that if the fish weren’t biting, she was reading, but either way, she cherished the time with her family.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

A son: Ricky Dean Greer of Coburg,

Siblings: Ondree Gordon of Tennessee, Mark Gordon of Nebraska, and Claran “Con-Jo” Olaes of Deleware,

She was also preceded in death by a son: Gordon Keith Greer; and a sister, DiAnne Marie Kolacki.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Brim on Friday, February 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Bro. Greg Lockard will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, February 13.

Brenda Blevins

Mrs. Brenda Lewis Blevins of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Travis and Lora (Davis) Lewis, was born in Yuma, KY on December 6, 1949. She departed this life on February 11, 2025, in Louisville at the University Hospital, being 75 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Soule Chapel Church. Mrs. Blevins was the former Director of Radiology at Taylor Regional Hospital and the cherished wife of the late Billy Blevins, who preceded her in death on October 9, 2015.

Mrs. Blevins leaves to mourn her passing:

A sister: Linda Seaver of Scottsville,

Two brothers: Roger Lewis and Donald Lewis, both of Campbellsville,

And a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Tony Lewis, Lonnie Dean Lewis, and Travis Eugene Lewis.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY from 6:00-8:00 PM.

She will be entombed in the Brookside Mausoleum at a later date following a private funeral service.
