Richard L. Blaul, Age 77

Richard L. Blaul, age 77, formerly of Illinois, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at his residence in Campbellsville after an illness.

He was born the son of the late Harry and Florence Lee Blaul on May 31, 1939 in Chicago, IL.  Also preceding him in death was a brother, Raymond Blaul.

He was united in marriage to Agnes Darleen Mattingly Blaul who survives.  Mr. Blaul was a retired construction worker, doing plumbing and electrical work after having served his country faithfully for 10 years in the Navy.   In his spare time he enjoyed working in his yard as well as building furniture, collected die cast cars and was a NASCAR enthusiast.

Mr. Blaul is survived by his step-children, Richard Luckett and his wife Janet of Romeoville, IL; Sandra Tooney of Joliet, IL; and Sharon McCroskey and her husband Jay Tapia of  Downers Grove, IL, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are a brother and sister, Dennie Blaul of Wilmette, IL and Nancy O’Conner of Oak Forest, IL.

The family request visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 7th at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 8th at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Allen Parker

Allen Parker, age 75, of Campbellsville died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in Louisville following an illness.

He was born in Taylor County on November 5, 1940 to the late Arthur and Lorena Antle Parker.   Mr. Parker was also preceded in death by a brother, Harlin Parker and a sister, Iona White.

He united in marriage to Betty Faye Grant Parker who survives.  To this union was born one son who survives, Tim Parker and his wife Larana Jill of Louisville, KY.  Also surviving are his two grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Parker and Hannah Elise Parker, of Louisville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1st at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Roberts officiating and burial to follow at Green River Memorial Cemetery.

The family request visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home prior to the service.

Jimmie Bright

Jimmie “Jim” Bright, age 77, formerly of Taylor County, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at his residence in Brooks, Kentucky.

He was born on April 17, 1939 in Taylor County to the late Henry Newton Bright and Maple Lee Warren Bright.  He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Hash.

He is survived by a son, Barry Bright of Campbellsville and two sisters, Bonnie Jackson of Arizona and Wilma Melton of Indiana.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2016 at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Taylor County.   Family and friends will gather at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m., prior to leaving for the cemetery.

Shofner, Jerry Lynn

Mr. Jerry Lynn Shofner, age 55, of Jackson Towers in Campbellsville, died Saturday,  September 24, 2016, at his residence after an illness.

He was the son of the late Roscoe and Audrey Thompson Shofner of Taylor County. Jerry was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Kenny Wayne, W.R. and Garnett Shofner and one brother-in-law, Larry Walters.

He is survived by one brother and his wife, Larry and Ann Shofner of Texas,  and four sisters and spouses, Brenda and Tim Sumrall, Linda and Eddie Sumrall all of Mississippi, Diane Walters and Sharon Gabbert both of Campbellsville. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and two very special friends, Sherry Pickett and Phillip DeSpain.

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Lynn Shofner will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bobby Landis and Phillip DeSpain officiating.  Burial will be in the Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers are Olyn Sprowles, Chad Sumrall, Josh Gabbert, Alan DeWitt, Gary Miller and Virgil Shofner.

Visitation at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home will be from 5 to 8 p.m Tuesday.

Annelle Bault Cox

Mrs. Annelle Bault Cox, age 81, of Campbellsville, died Friday, September 23, 2016, at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.

She was the daughter of the late Basil and Bertie Ruth Hovious Bault of Adair County. Besides her parents Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Ovlin Cox, one son, Douglas Wayne Cox, three sisters, Judy Bault, Lonita Hancock and Doris Mae Combs and two brothers, Leon and Gordon Bault.

She is survived by three sons, one daughter and their spouses, Billy and Brenda Cox of Port Charolette, Florida, Johnnie Cox of Elk Horn, Jerry and Paulette Cox and Shelia and Roger Malone all of Campbellsville. Seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren with one great-grandson due very soon. Two brothers and three sisters also survive, Garnett Bault of Campbellsville, Leonard Bault of Cane Valley, Maxine Stonecipher of Indiana, Betty Willis and Mary Evelyn Lee both of Campbellsville.

Funeral service for Mrs. Annelle Bault Cox will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Brother Raymond Atwood officiated.

The family request visitation from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
