Velma McVay of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Claude Russell and Annie Lee Saunders Russell was born April 23, 1924 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:00 P.M., Sunday in Campbellsville. Age: 93
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
Velma was an avid reader, loved playing rook with friends, working puzzles and she loved her flowers.
Velma united in marriage to Russell McVay April 24, 1942. He preceded her in death September 21, 1993.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: John and Helen McVay, Tommy and Margaret McVay and Randy and Mary McVay of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren: Debbie Tungate and husband, Martin, Lisa Cave and husband, Kevin, John W. McVay and wife, Kim, Amy Colvin and husband, Jerry, Stephanie Maggard, and Tommy McVay, Jr., of Campbellsville, Andrea Hartman and husband, Todd of Bowling Green and Allen McVay and wife, Natalie of Hopkinsville; thirteen great- grandchildren: Wade Cave, Lydia Cave who was her special friend and caregiver, Brayden McVay, Brianna McVay, Bailey Colvin, Riley Colvin, Briar McVay, Lexie McVay, Lily Hartman, Emerson McVay, Cobe McVay, Mykenzi McVay and Emily McVay; one great-great granddaughter, Braelyn Ann McVay; one sister, Grace Wilson of Campbellsville and one brother, Les Russell and wife, Mary Ann of Liberty; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by five brothers: Richard Russell, Tom Russell, Wallace Russell, Bob Russell and Fred Louis Russell.

Margaret Hall French of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Robert Dorsey Hall and Margie Arbell Gupton Hall, was born April 3, 1958, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Friday, June 30, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 59
She professed faith in Christ and attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Margaret was employed as an RTM Clerk at Lowes for fourteen years.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Tim French of Lexington and Tara Willis and husband, Bro. Jonathon of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Brayden Willis, Alayna Willis and Savannah Willis; two brothers and two sisters: Doug Hall and wife, Lisa of Westminster, Colorado and Bill Hall and wife, Deborah and Melinda Hayes of Campbellsville and Barbara Hall of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Elizabeth Ann Kirtley of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ray Russell Rice and Lora Richerson Rice, was born January 20, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 7:27 A.M., Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Louisville. Age: 78
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Elizabeth was a retired supervisor in the bookkeeping department at Taylor County Bank after thirty-five years of service.
She united in marriage to William H. “Skinny” Kirtley June 8, 1957 and he preceded her in death February 6, 2005.
She is survived by one son and three daughters: Martha Price and husband, Travis, Bobby Kirtley and wife, Lisa, Susan Reynolds and husband, Mike and Jennifer Caulk and husband, Jason, all of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Tyler Reynolds, LeAnna Kirtley, Hannah Price, Rachel Price, Makenzi Caulk and Zachary Caulk of Campbellsville and Ashley Cofer and husband, Mike of Elizabethtown; one great-granddaughter, Adlee Cofer of Elizabethtown; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Helen Rice and Hollis Brockman of Campbellsville and Mildred Kirtley and Walt Kirtley of Aurora, Illinois; special friend, Juanita Moss and caregivers, Charlene Shofner and Zola Roy, all of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Stanley Coy Tungate, age 71, of Lebanon, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Sylvester and Helen (Garrett) Tungate, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Springview Hospital after an illness. Mr. Tungate was a former employee of McCubbin Ford and Newcomb Buick for several years. He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a son, Stanley Coy Tungate, Jr. and wife Jeannie of Ohio; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Joseph, and Jordan Tungate; a brother, Eric Tungate and wife Phyllis of Campbellsville; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by five siblings: Barry Tungate, Russell Tungate, Rosetta Lewis, Zelda Bottoms, and Cindy Webb.
At the request of Mr. Tungate, cremation rites were entrusted to the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville. There will be a graveside interment service in the Brookside Cemetery on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM.

Donald Ray “Donnie” Lawson, age 66, of Campbellsville died on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at his home after an illness.
Donnie was born in Campbellsville on September 7, 1950, the son of the late William Thomas “Bud” and Edith Mae Walters Lawson. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Lawson. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam and after an honorable discharge, he worked for Coco-Cola Bottling Company as a route deliveryman until his retirement. In his spare time, you would find him, coaching Little League, fishing or enjoying sports, especially NASCAR.
He married Erlene DeWitt who survives. To this union was born one son, Brad Lawson and his wife Misty, and their two daughters, Brooke and Baileigh Lawson of Mayfield, KY. Also surviving are his brothers, William “Buster” Lawson and his wife Linda of Lebanon Junction, Steve Lawson and his wife Lesa, a sister, Vicki Young and her husband Danny, and a sister-in-law Cathy Lawson, all of Campbellsville.
There will be a graveside service with full military honors by the Marion County Retired Veterans Honor Guard at Lebanon National Cemetery for Donnie Lawson at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. The family request visitation prior to the service at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Donations are requested to be to the Marion County Retired Veterans Honor Guard and may be made at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

 Louis H. Shipp of Campbellsville, son of the late Odgen Shipp and Ruby L. Young Carter, was born May 4, 1930, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 12:02 P.M., Friday, June 23, 2017, in Campbellsville. Age: 87
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Korean Service Ribbon with Four Stars.
Louis retired from TGT after more than thirty-seven years’ service.
He was a member of the Pitman Mason Lodge #124 F & AM.
He united in marriage to Peggy Noel and she preceded him in death November 18, 2001.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jim Bailey of Lexington; one grandson, Dusty Bailey and wife, Melissa of Lexington; two great-grandchildren: Emerson Bailey and Riley Bailey of Lexington; one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Dr. Harold Wilkerson of Campbellsville; two aunts: Virginia Smith of Campbellsville and Jean Dyer of Florida; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmie Shipp May 5, 1965.

 William “Bill” Edward Milby, 75, passed away June 22, 2017 at his home in Louisville.
Bill served in the US Army and a veteran of the Viet Nam War, a Mason of Highland Park Lodge #865, a rep for UAW Union #862 at Ford Motor Co (KTP), and an avid U of L fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lottie Milby and his sister, DeLora Jean Skaggs.
Bill is survived by his wife, Norma Jean of Louisville.
Hhis children, Bill Milby, Sherry Milby, Vickie Firkins, Joey Saho (Kathy), Tamera Hill, David Hill (Debra), Jeff Hill (Christa) and Chris Hill.
His siblings, Donnie Milby (Linda) of Campbellsville, Janice Wooldridge of Louisville, Linda “Cissy” Vibert (Ronnie) of Louisville and Debbie Zgliczynski (Conrad) pf Texas and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that kept him young at heart.
A special appreciation to Hosparus, Tammy Thompson, Dave Miller and Salina Rosalez, for the love and care provided to Bill.
Visitation is Sunday, June 25, 2017, from 3pm to 8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 26, 2017, at 12pm followed by entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park.

 Mr. Harvey Junior “Yogie” Gilbert of Campbellsville passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at his home. Born on January 11, 1968 to the late Harvey Twillard and Elizabeth Mary (Wise) Gilbert, he was 49 years, 5 months, and 7 days of age. Mr. Gilbert was a family man; his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He professed faith in Christ and attended New Journey Church in Campbellsville. Mr. Gilbert tried to lead a life of example; not only did he believe in God, he loved talking to anyone about Him. He was an outdoorsman as well, and took pleasure in manual labor.

He was also preceded in death by four siblings, Mary Gilbert, Peggy Gilbert, Cheryl Gilbert, and Bobby Wayne Gilbert, and a couple he treated as parents, Tom and Carolynn Westbay.
Mr. Gilbert chose to be cremated, and those wishes were entrusted to the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville.

Sandra Marie McFelea of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Bill Pearson and Wilda Cruce, was born January 22, 1952, in Paoli, Indiana. She died at 7:19 P.M., Saturday, June 17, 2017, in Campbellsville. Age: 65
Sandra was a retired bookkeeper.
She was a member of the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her life partner, Doug Barnett of Campbellsville; two daughters: Melissa Laymance and husband, Anthony of Campbellsville and Mylea McFelea and husband, Kevin Pangburn of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; four grandchildren: Allie Malone of Nashville, Anthony Sapp of Campbellsville, Lexi Sapp of Floyds Knobs, Indiana and Ava Laymance of Campbellsville; one step-grandson, Dillain Thompson and wife, Kirsten of Mt. Washington; three brothers: Billy Pearson of Perry, Florida, Wayne Pearson and Randy Pearson and wife, Susie of Paoli, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Pearson.

 Mr. Clifford Ray Hutchison, son of the late Clifford and Beulah Mae (Rogers) Hutchison, passed away peacefully at his home in Campbellsville on Saturday, June 17, 2017 after an extended illness. Born on May 2, 1960, he was 57 years, 1 month, and 15 days of age. Mr. Hutchison professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Until a recent disability, he was an employee of Cox Interior and a 26 year employee of Fruit of the Loom. As an outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed fishing, trading and shooting guns, and riding motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tracy Lynn Hutchison, in 2013.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
Two sons: Bobby Hutchison of Bradfordsville, and Kelly Hutchison of Campbellsville,
One sister: Wanda Sue Tucker and companion Tim Ellis of Campbellsville,
Eight grandchildren,
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Hutchison requested cremation, and there will be a memorial service to honor his life on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Jason Hood will be officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 19 after 4:30 until time for the service.
