Besides his mother, he is survived locally by his grandfather, James K. Pendleton; great-grandparents, Guy and Kathy Ritchie, James L. Pendleton, and Brenda Pendleton; one uncle, Nick Pendleton; one aunt, Katlin Pendleton; and a host of cousins and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tabitha Ritchie Pendleton.

Jo an Humphress of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Garland Herbert Jackson and Abigail Blanton Jackson, was born July 8, 1938, in Rittman, Ohio. She died at 1:05 P.M., Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 77
She professed faith in Christ at a young age and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church.
She was the former owner and operator of Lucky Vista Motel in Campbellsville with her husband, Jim, from 1974 – 1994. She was also an LPN when she lived in Ohio.
She united in marriage to Jim Humphress March 9, 1957. He preceded her in death March 19, 2011.
She is survived by two daughters: Vicky Tucker and husband, John of Campbellsville and Sheila Prow and husband, Tommy of Bowling Green; four grandchildren: Tyler Prow and wife, Azar of Nashville, Tennessee, James Prow and wife, Sandra and Abby Prow of Bowling Green and Andrea Henderson and husband, Matt of Lexington; three great-grandchildren: Abbey Sue Ross and Noah Ross of Bowling Green and Leo Prow of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters: Chelsea Shuman and husband, Bob of Baltic, Ohio and Dot Dickens and husband, Herbert of Campbellsville; two nephews: Mark Dickens and Harvey Dickens and wife, Michelle of Campbellsville; several other nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and John Carson.

James Albert Cross, age 82

James Albert Cross, age 82, of Campbellsville died Monday, May 30, 2016 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born May 27, 1934 in Green County to the late William Alonzo “Lonnie” and Mattie B Wright Cross. James worked for 20 years in the school system in Columbus, Indiana and was also a retired farmer. Before going into the nursing home you would often find James enjoying one of his favorite past times, working in his yard. He was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville.

Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by two wives, Elizabeth Curry Cross and Pearl Cross as well as 2 sisters, Ruby Nell Cross and Wanda Jean Cross and one brother Vernon Lee Cross.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Cross of Campbellsville; one daughter, Brenda Gayle Bowers and her husband Roger of Butlerville, IN; two sons, Rick Allen Cross and his wife Betsy and Danny Wayne Cross of Columbus, IN; two sisters, Correll and her husband, William “Fats” Coffey and Elizabeth Coffey, and one brother, Otis Cross, all of Greensburg, Kentucky; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren also survive. Also surviving is one step-son Donald Davis and his wife Sharon of New Mexico and one step-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery.

David Prow of Campbellsville, son of the late Clifton Prow and Nannie Lou McEuen Prow was born January 31, 1936 in Hopkins County, Kentucky. He died at 2:00 A.M., Sunday, May 29, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 80
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He retired as Regional Manager of Southern States after some forty years.
He graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in agriculture.
He served on the Board of Trustees at Taylor Regional Hospital for fourteen and one half years.
He united in marriage to Gayle Qualls June 30, 1956.

Lois Antle Winfrey of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Bert Antle and Viola Murphy Antle, was born April 25, 1923 in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 28, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 93
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was a former secretary at State Farm and Jessie Insurances.
She served as a volunteer with the Taylor County Hospital Auxiliary for over twenty years logging in over 2000 hours, was a long time volunteer at Taylor County Crisis Center and taught reading through the Adult Education Program.
She united in marriage to Shelby Winfrey on April 28, 1946. He preceded her in death March 11, 2000.
She is survived by one son, Steve Winfrey of Bowling Green, two daughters, Susan McEwen and husband, Kevin, and Sheri Cottrell and husband, Stan of Upton; nine grandchildren: Jordan Tillis of Jacksonville, Florida, Andy McEwen of Little Rock, Arkansas, Cameron Staiger of Westfield, Ohio, Tucker McEwen of Kotweiler-Schwanden, Germany, Elizabeth Reardon of Bowling Green, Lindsey Davie of New Castle, Erin Wilburn of Nashville, Tennessee, Kacey Shive of Elizabethtown, and Jay Cottrell of Munfordville; fifteen great-grandchildren: several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Cymbeline Pyles Shofner, age 89

Cymbeline Pyles Shofner, age 89, of Campbellsville died Sunday, May 29, 2016 in Campbellsville after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 15, 1927 to the late Judge and Letha Burress Pyles.  She was united in marriage to Howard Shofner who preceded her in death on December 21, 2007.  A daughter, Linda Rainwater also preceded her in death.

Cymbeline was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.  She was an avid supporter of her grandchildren, accompanying their families to whatever event where they were participating.  She worked at Fruit of the Loom for many years, was a fan of Elvis Presley and loved working in her yard in her spare time.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Clarke of Campbellsville; four grandchildren, Joe, Sissy, Anthony and Ryan; 8 great-grandchildren, Corey, Claudia, Misha, Gabe, Brandon, Jacob, Clinton and Sarah and four great-great-grandchildren, Carstyn, Luke, Clarke and Chanley; a brother, Bobby Pyles and his wife, Tommie Ann of Campbellsville and a sister-in-law, Jean Pyles of Elizabethtown.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1st at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Rhodes officiating.  Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Rainwater, Jacob Rainwater, Cory Clarke, Sarah Rainwater, Logan Wilson and Ben Janes.  Honorary pallbearers will be Clinton Rainwater, Joe Clarke, Anthony Rainwater, Ryan Rainwater, Gabe Henderson and Lyle Sutton.

Leoma retired from Campbellsville Independent School System as a third grade teacher in 1986.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Harlie White May 24, 1958

He was a retired truck driver and had also been employed as a school bus driver and farmer.
He united in marriage to Eula Fudge August 12, 1943. She preceded him in death August 26, 2008.
He united in marriage to Amy Wright Harrison March 7, 2009.

Fair, Phyllis JeanMrs. Phyllis Jean (Whitley) Fair was born on August 6, 1953 in Taylor County to the late Lewis W. and Elsie Rae (Tungate) Whitley. She was called to her eternal home on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at her residence, at the age of 62 years, 9 months, and 13 days. She was an employee of the Fruit of the Loom factory in Campbellsville until the time of its closing. Mrs. Fair professed faith in Christ and attended God’s Grace Church. She found peace and joy in trying to live a Godly life, and used her life as her testimony.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
