Tommy Murphy, age 75, formerly of Campbellsville died Monday, December 7, 2015 in Elizabethtown.

He was born Thomas Mitchell Murphy to the late Ruben and Aileen Baker Murphy on December 17, 1940 in Cumberland County.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Murphy.

He is survived by a daughter, Marsha Silas of Campbellsville; two grandsons, Johnathan Neal Silas and his wife, Ashley of Rineyville and Christopher Thomas Silas, of South Dakota and a great-granddaughter, Madison Silas; a brother, Marion Silas Murphy and his wife, Sheila of Columbia; a sister, Bernice Burton, of North Carolina; his former wife, Margaret Murphy of Magnolia and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at Elkhorn Cemetery with Bro. Dwayn Lobb officiating.  Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mitchelyn Squires of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Edgar Parson and Della May Keltner Parson, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, May 11, 1925. She died at 1:55 P.M., Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in Greensburg. Age: 90
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to James Floyd Squires August 8, 1942. He preceded her in death October 13, 2012.
She is survived by two daughters: Tammy Squires of Raleigh, North Carolina and Dianne Squires and husband, Ross Bruner of Scottsdale, Arizona; three grandchildren: Morgan Bruner of Seattle, Washington, Zak Dearinger of Columbia, South Carolina and Max Dearinger of Atlanta, Georgia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Duluth “Duke” Glenn Parson, Roy L. Parson, Junior Parson and Thomazine Bensheimer.

M. D. Shirley of Campbellsville, son of the late, Michael Daniel Shirley, Sr. and Nellie Mae Stinnett Shirley Durham, was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky, December 16, 1925. He died at 2:15 A.M., Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in Louisville. Age: 89
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Christian Faith
He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army with General Patton in Germany.
He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company.
He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
He united in marriage to Margaret Lane October 2, 1944. She preceded him in death August 30, 2011.
He is survived by one son and three daughters: Michael Lane Shirley and wife, Earlene of Louisville, Maida Shines and Melinda D. Shirley of Campbellsville and Marcella Burress and husband, Leonard of Shepherdsville; seven grandchildren: Whitney Heath, Priscilla Barnes, Jennifer Adams, Amanda Birch, Jacob Noel, Hannah Shines Thompson and husband, Dillan, and Christina Shirley; one step-granddaughter, Sarah Young; eleven great-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; five brothers and two sisters: Henry Shirley, Charlie Shirley, George Shirley and Pete Jackson of Louisville, Michael D. Shirley of Ohio, Eva McDonald of Shepherdsville and JoAnn Ballou of Florida; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Michael J. Harmon of Campbellsville, son of Dollie Mae Cox Harmon and the late James E. Harmon, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 23, 1950. He died at 11:45 P.M., Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in Greensburg. Age: 64
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church.
He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and TG Kentucky.
He is survived by one son, Phil Harmon and wife, Gina and one grandson, Nathan Harmon of Villa Hills, Kentucky as well as his mother, Dollie Harmon of Campbellsville; two special cousins: Ron Harmon and Terry Cox; and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two sons: Jamie Harmon September 18, 1984 and Paul Harmon October 11, 2004.

Leisha Lynn Davis, age 54

Leisha Lynn Davis, age 54, of Campbellsville died Wednesday, December 2nd, in Elizabethtown following a brief illness.

She was born in Greensburg on June 21, 1961 to Marshel E. and Sharon Keltner Davis.  She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church.  She graduated from Green County High School and received her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Campbellsville University.  Leisha served as Food Services Manager at the Taylor County Detention Center and she enjoyed doing crafts, riding horses and being “Nana” to her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her mother, Sharon, a son, Daniel Warren Smith and her grandparents, Eural and Evelyn Davis and Hobert and Lillian Keltner.

She leaves to cherish her memory,  her husband, Terry Davis; a son, Stephen “Red” Smith and his wife, Brandy, of Campbellsville; two grandsons, Warren Nash Smith and Marshel Kane Smith; her father, Marshel E. Davis, of Greensburg; her sister, Gretchen Bradshaw and her husband, Jimmy of Greensburg; her brother, Mike E. Davis and his wife, Valerie, of Greensburg; a step-daughter, Denise Spencer and her husband, Rev. Robbie Spencer and a step-son, Chris Davis of Campbellsville; six step-grandchildren, Sarah Holt, Emily Spencer, Ben Spencer, Caleb Spencer, Bethany Wilson and Jonah Davis; a niece, Emily Bradshaw; nephews, Andrew and Nathan Davis and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Leshia Davis will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville with Bro. Dwayne Lobb officiating. Burial will follow in Benningfield Cemetery in Marion County.  Serving as pallbearers will be, Stephen “Red” Smith, Robbie Spencer, Darrell Davis, Chris Davis, Andrew Davis, John Marcum and Ben Spencer.

The family request visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She was a retired schoolteacher with the Taylor County and Marion County School Systems.
She was a graduate of Georgetown College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
She united in marriage to James G. Bryant October 14, 1941. He preceded her in death in May 16, 1981.
She united in marriage to Dr. Richard E. Mardis December 14, 1986. He preceded her in death September 6, 1994.
She united in marriage to Dr. Paul W. Graham in 2002.
Besides her husband, Dr. Paul W. Graham, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James W. and Mary Bryant of Louisville; one grandson, Blair Bryant of Louisville; one brother, Harry D. Robinson and wife, Barbara of Port St. Lucie, Florida; one niece, Becky Munshower and husband, Bob of Orlando, Florida; special friends: Maydean Curry, Betty Metzmeier and Wanda Milby of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, James L. Robinson.

Wood1Mrs. Louise (Hughes) Wood was born on March 12, 1941 to the late Glenn and Cassie (Herron) Hughes. She departed this life on November 30, 2015 at her home in Campbellsville at the age of 74 years, 8 months, and 18 days. Mrs. Wood was a former employee of the Campbellsville Laundry and Dry Cleaners, a job she held over 25 years. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
Her husband of 55 years: Donnie Wood of Campbellsville,
Two children: Keith Wood and wife Beth of Lawrenceburg, and Shelia Wethington and husband John of Campbellsville,
Two siblings: Cozetta Sprowles and husband Olyn of Campbellsville, and Junior Lewis “Buddy” Hughes and wife Diane of Black Gnat,
Two grandchildren: Mason Wethington and Brenna Wethington, both of Campbellsville,
And a host of other family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Greg Hughes.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Wood on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 1:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Elder Joe Schembari will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 2, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.
