Pauline Tucker of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Mannsville, daughter of the late Ben Shreve and Ada Brown Shreve, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, June 5, 1915. She died at 9:50 P.M., Friday, April 18, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Age: 98

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church.

She united in marriage to Arvin B. Tucker March 31, 1936. He preceded her in death March 7, 1999.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother: Bessie Tucker, Beulah Land, Ora Montgomery, Mary Sapp, Seba Van Dyke and Manuel Shreve and twelve half-brothers and half-sisters.

Mr. Angel Cayuela Mateo, age 78 of Campbellsville, passed away on Wednesday in bowling Green at the Commonwealth Specialty Hospital.

Survivors include his wife: Elva Bustinza Mateo of Campbellsville.

A brother: Pedro Cayuela and Isabelle Cayuela.

7 nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Angel Cayuela Mateo, will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

There will be no visitation.

Rhodem E. Skaggs, age 91, formerly of Campbellsville, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington.

Rhodem was born September 10, 1922 in Green County to the late Lucian and Mildred Edrington Skaggs.  He was a retired carpenter, farmer and employee of Campbellsville Industries and a member of Mt. Roberts Baptist Church.  He served in the US Army during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient.

Besides his wife, Agatha Allen Skaggs, he was preceded in death by a brother, Odell Skaggs and a sister, Aileen Skaggs.

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Philpott and Linda Collins and her husband Greg of Campbellsville and Wilma Jones, of Anderson, SC and his grandsons, Patrick Philpott and his wife, Yui of Denver, Co and Travis Collins and his wife, Allyson of Indianapolis, IN.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 21st at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family request visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Willard Nelson of Campbellsville, son of the late Charlie Thomas Nelson and Laurie French Nelson Grimes, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, April 16, 1935. He died at 10:30 P.M., Monday, April 14, 2014 in Greensburg.      Age: 78

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Washington Baptist Church.

He was a retired construction employee.

He is survived by one son:  Brian Nelson of Campbellsville; two step-children:  Patricia Lanham and Ollie R. Jones of Campbellsville; one grandson, Brandon Nelson of Campbellsville; one brother and two sisters:  Woodrow Nelson and wife, Jean, Jean Bell and Mary Whitlock of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters:  Howard Thomas Nelson, Omer Lee Nelson, Charles Leonard Nelson, Stella Underwood and Elizabeth Burchett and one step-son, Danny Joe Jones January 31, 2003.

Henry Joe Goodin, 56

Henry Joe Goodin, age 56 of Columbia, died at Jewish Hospital in Louisville on Sunday, April 14, 2014.

Henry had worked at Firestone of Campbellsville and Medco Nursing and Rehabilitation Center prior to being disabled in a motorcycle accident.  He was a member of Whites Ridge Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Chelf Goodin; a son, Joe Goodin and his wife, Donna of Adair County; his step-children, Brian Rutledge, of LaGrange, KY, Bobbie Reynolds and her husband, Wendell of Green County, Justin Rutledge and his wife Angela, of Larue County and Amanda Wilson and her husband, James of Adair County; 17 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Callahan Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Mr. Charles Richard Fawcett of Campbellsville passed away at the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg on Saturday, April 12, 2014. He was 81 years of age. Mr. Fawcett was a retired farmer and carpenter. Several of his miniature homes have been showcased in different Fourth of July Parades in Campbellsville. He had professed faith in Christ, and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.
Mr. Fawcett is survived by:

Three step-children: Janet Pickett and husband Roger, Lisa Tucker and husband Tony, and Norman Watson and companion Fran Bright, all of Campbellsville
Three sisters: Hazel Cusma of Ohio, Faye Syler of Elizabethtown, and Barbara Jean Bault of Campbellsville
Five step-grandchildren: Scott Pickett of Louisville, Stacey Forbis of Campbellsville, Tiffany Bright of Lebanon, Chris Cook of Campbellsville, and Jason Cook of Lexington
Four step-great-grandchildren

Besides his parents, Robert and Rosa (Wilson) Fawcett, Mr. Charles Fawcett was preceded in death by four siblings: Frances Hunt, Melba Thompson, Earl Fawcett, and Bobby Fawcett.

There will be a funeral service for Mr. Fawcett held at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 15, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Seymour “Buddy” Shaw of Campbellsville, son of the late Seymour Shaw and Mabel Russell Shaw, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 31, 1919. He died at 4:41 P.M., Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Campbellsville.     Age:    94          He professed faith in Christ and is a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army and was awarded the Bronze Star.

He was a retired employee of Tennessee Gas Transmissions as Pipeline Superintendent.

He is survived by two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Don and Gail Shaw and Liz Shaw of Campbellsville and Dick and Charlene Shaw of California; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers: Ethel Buchanan, Sara “Tot” Buckler, Russell Shaw, and J. T. “Jimmy” Shaw.

Bettye Faye Gilpin Mann of California, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Harry Gilpin and Gladys Faye Sullivan Gilpin, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, August 1, 1937.   She died at 12:15 A.M., Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Concord, California.       Age: 76

She professed faith in Christ and attended Faith Christian Fellowship Church in California and Beech Grove Baptist Church in Campbellsville.

She was a retired teller at Wells Fargo Bank.

She is united in marriage to Lloyd C. Mann March 4, 1955.

Besides her husband, Lloyd C. Mann of California, she is survived by one son and one daughter: Steve Mann and wife, Maria of Concord, California and Tammy Dahlstrom and husband, Mike of  Fox Island, Washington; four grandchildren:  Shane Mann and Thomas Mann of Concord, California and Kaysea Dahlstrom and  Charlie Dahlstrom of Fox Island, Washington; one brother, Bobby Gilpin and wife, Peggy of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law:  Bettye Sue Gilpin of Campbellsville and Joan Mann of San Clemente, California; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a granddaugther, Jacqueline Mann July 18,1998 and a brother, Jimmy Lee Gilpin August 6, 2006.

Elizabeth Jane “Betty” Miller, age 80, of the Knifley community died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Campbellsville Nursing and & Rehabilitation Center.

Betty was born in Elizabethtown, KY on January 12, 1934 to the late Scott and Irene House Carroll.  She was a retired lab technician for the U.S. Government and a member of St. Bernard Parish in Clementsville.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Miller; her children, Debbie Routte, Tim Routte, Diane Schwartz, Tom Routte, Denise Pickerill, Terry Routte, Brandice Longest and Mia Henderson; her brothers and sisters, Sam Carroll, Tom Carroll, Mike Carroll, Emaline Weese, Annette Carroll and Fred Carroll and her grandchildren, Dallas Henderson, Ryleigh Henderson, Landon Henderson and Madeline Longest.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 14, 2014 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with cremation to follow.  The family request that visitation will be after 11 am Monday until funeral time.
