Ervin Harper “Bo” age 74, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013, after a long illness at his residence in Taylor County.
He is survived by his wife Sandra (Bellis) Harper, three sons; Rufus Harper of Munfordville, David Harper of Campbellsville and Ervin Harper Jr., two daughters; Mae Louise Janes of Munfordville and Kim Ferrick of Pennsylvania. and step daughter; Laura Burke of Florida, fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two sisters; Patsy Jean Harper and Shirley Ann Clemson both of Pennsylvania, along with several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Weldon McDonald, age 68, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his residence in Casey County.
He is survived by his wife Debra McDonald, two sons and daughter-in-law; Chris and Erin McDonald of Liberty and Nathan McDonald of Russell Springs, one daughter and son-in-law; Sonya and Rodney Crawley of Liberty, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers; Lindsey McDonald and Norman McDonald both of Russell Springs and one sister and brother-in-law; Margaret and Paul Werner of Chattanooga along with a host of family and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Weldon McDonald will be conducted 11 AM Friday, November 22, 2013 in chapel of Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Doris Jean Martin of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Edward Stephens and Dorothy Daugherty Stephens, was born June 4, 1948, in Winfield, Tennessee.  She died at 1:05 P.M., Sunday, November 17, 2013 at her home in Campbellsville due to pulmonary hypertension.     Age:  65

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.  

She was a retired hairdresser.

She united in marriage to Welby Martin on June 11, 1977.  

Besides her husband, Welby Martin of Campbellsville, she is survived by one daughter, Cindie Sharp and husband, Ernie of Campbellsville; one step-son, Rodney Martin of Campbellsville; five grandchildren:  Zachery Sharp, Gabriel Sharp, Breanna Sharp, Mark Martin and Hannah Martin; two brothers and two sisters:  Fred Stephens and wife, Sarah and Faye Strunk and husband, Jim of Winfield, Tennessee; Fenton Stephens and wife, Theresa of Powell, Tennessee and Missy Slaven of Oneida, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Fos Stephens.

Mr. Otha Rubel Sallee (Buddy), age 75, died Friday, November 15, 2013 at Medco Center in Campbellsville, KY.
Otha Rubel Sallee was the son of the late Otha Sallee, he was also preceded in death by one brother Jerry Sallee and two sisters Ola May Gunter and Sue Gunter.
Buddy was a retired farmer and truck driver; he loved his family and spending time on the farm. Buddy was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Zelma (Tucker) Sallee, one son and daughter-in-law; Joey Ruble Sallee (Debra), two daughters and son-in-law; Linda Gaye Bottoms (Scott), and Tina Sallee all of Campbellsville, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, one brother; Buford Sallee of Lebanon, three sisters; Helen Cox of Campbellsville, Dorothy Tungate and Carida Calison both Lebanon along with a host family and friends
Graveside services were conducted 11 AM Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the Merrimac Cemetery, services conducted by Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nadine McNear Johnson, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in Campbellsville at her home.

Survivors include her mother: Gladys Mattingly of Campbellsville, her grandmother: Mary Agnes of Raywick.

Two sons: James timothy McNear and Jason Paul Johnson and wife: Charlie, all of Campbellsville.

Three daughters: Kathy Michelle McNear, Patricia Lynn Cox, Sherry Nicole Davis and husband Shane, all of Campbellsville.

Two sisters: Treccia Buckman and husband David of Marion County, Nancy McNear of Somerset, KY and Joyline Bentley of Elkhorn, KY.

A brother: Paul “Buddy” McNear and wife Gayle of Elkhorn, KY.

Her step-father: Bill Mattingly of Campbellsville, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Larry and Hilda Clever of Campbellsville, a special friend and companion: David Truex of Elkhorn, KY, and her former spouse; Timothy Hughes Johnson of Campbellsville.

14 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mrs. Nadine McNear Johnson, will be conducted, Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery in Taylor County.

Visitation after 5 P.M. on Friday and after 7:00 A.M. Saturday

          Rev. Dr. Oscar Milburn Turner, age 81, died Monday, November 11, 2013 at V.A. Medical Center in Louisville, KY.

           Oscar Milburn Turner was the son of the late Owen Milburn and Mary B Calhoun Turner, born to them July 7, 1932, one of fourteen children. He was preceded in death by two brothers Owen William Turner and Paul Thomas Turner and four sisters; Bernice Richardson, Mary Simpson, Rosie Gaddie and Debra Turner.

          Rev. Turner was an ordained minister for 40 plus years and received his doctrine under the Full Gospel Association Pastor Rev. Paul Martin. He was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church at an early age, he served 8 years in the US Air Force, and he was a policeman, a mason and a heavy equipment engineer for the state of Indiana.  Rev. Turner pastor many churches in Indianapolis and Florida.

          He was survived by his wife Dianna Jones Turner of Campbellsville, two sons; Oscar Ray Vaughn of Campbellsville and Ricky M (Adtia) Turner of Indiana, one daughter; Harriet Briggs of Indianapolis, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, step-mother; Annie Mae Turner of Campbellsville,  three brothers; Ronnie Turner of Campbellsville, Tommie Turner of Louisville and Rodrick Turner of North Carolina, six sisters; Vernetta Hendrickson, Betty Jean Graves, Carrie Grady all of Campbellsville, Wanda Cooper, Patricia Johnson and Virginia Brown all of Louisville, one step sister; Zannie Anderson of Campbellsville along with a host of family and friends.

          Services for Rev. Oscar Milburn Turner were conducted 1 PM Monday at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with burial in the Pleasant Union Cemetery.

Bobby G. Carter of Campbellsville, son of the late Chester A. Carter and Golden Clasby Carter was born in Warren County, Kentucky, March 3, 1933.  He died at 3:05 P.M., Saturday, November 9, 2013, in Campbellsville.     Age:   80

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was a member of Pitman Masonic Lodge 124 F & AM.

After returning from military duty, he worked for Western Electric in Indianapolis, IN, Detrex Chemicals in Bowling Green, Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and retired as an Operator from Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company. He also loved working with his John Deere tractors on the farm.

He united in marriage to Mary Louise Hiestand March 11, 1961.

Besides his wife, Mary Louise Carter, he is survived by three daughters and two sons: Jane Carter, Patti Brockman and husband, Frank Owen of Campbellsville, Bruce Carter and wife, Tonya of Bowling Green, John Carter of Louisville and Cathy Wright of Seattle, Washington; seven grandchildren: Rachael Dobson and husband, Adam, Josh Buck, Justin Buck and wife, Jordan, Natalie Buck, Alexandra Brockman, Ashley Wright Cook and husband, Russell and Brayton Wright; seven step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Amos Carter, Bennett Carter, Kenneth Carter, Runell Carter Bergin and Maybell Carter Bybee.

He is survived by his mother, Dana Eisenback of Campbellsville; brother: Ty Eisenback; grandmother, Sherrie Carter; great-grandfather and great-grandmother: Henry Foreman and Flora Eisenback; several aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

          Mrs. Barbara Jean Allen, age 80, of Social Band Road, Campbellsville, died Thursday, November 7, 2013, at the Greenhill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg after an illness.

          Barbara Jean was the daughter of the late Ivy (Milby) Perkins and William (Goble) Perkins, also preceding her death was her late husband Everett C Allen, one sister; Katerin Underwood and four brothers; William Pete Perkins, Robert Perkins, Don Perkins and James Perkins.

          Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed her time on the farm and at home, she was a member of Caring the Torch Minster.

          She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, Everett Lee and Peggy Allen of Campbellsville and Johnny and Lora Allen of Indianapolis. Eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, also survived along with two brothers, Alan Perkins of Campbellsville, Everett Perkins of Buffalo and five sisters, Anna Mary Brockman of Campbellsville, Sarah Allen of Indianapolis, Betty Sue Dotson, Louise Murphy and Zela Perkins all of Hodgenville.

          Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Allen will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Otter Creek Cemetery.

Emma Lee Caulk of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Eldridge B. O’Banion and Clara Esther Sullivan O’Banion, was born September 14, 1930, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 5:10 A.M., Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in Campbellsville.

Age:  83

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church.

She was a retired Nursing Assistant at Metzmeier Nursing Home.

She united in marriage to Harold Caulk on October 28, 1950.

Besides her husband, Harold Caulk of Campbellsville, she is survived by three sons:  Marshall Caulk and Darrell T. Caulk and wife, Monique of Campbellsville and James Lester Caulk and wife, Janet of Knoxville, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren: Kevin Caulk and wife, Deanna, Jason Caulk and wife, Jennifer K., Jeremy Caulk and wife, Sherri, Andrea Caulk , Angie Russell, Jaelyn Richerson, Caleb Davis and Chelsea Davis of Campbellsville, Jacob Caulk of  Bowling Green, Jennifer Ann Caulk of Louisville, Amanda Castle of Lexington and Karyn Spalding and husband, Stacy of Springfield; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Allyene Underwood of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lois Caulk in October of 1959 and three brothers and six sisters:  Paul O’Banion, Bill O’Banion, James Vernon O’Banion, Cleo Gabehart Black, Catherine Gabehart, Pauline Smith, Elizabeth Allen, Ruth O’Banion and a sister in infancy.
