Kenneth Merle Cox of Louisville, formerly of Taylor County, son of the late Walter Cox and Cora Herron Cox, was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky, September 16, 1936. He died at 6:42 P.M., Saturday, January 4, 2014 in Louisville. Age: 77
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He was a retired carpenter.
He united in marriage to Elizabeth Willis November 19, 1954.
Besides his wife, Elizabeth Cox, he is survived by three daughters and seven sons: Audrey Kay Cox Clark of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Sharon Lynn Cox of McHenry, Illinois, Patty Ann Cox of Burwin, Illinois, Phillip Harold Cox of Roselle, Illinois, Jeffrey Allen Cox of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Robert Merle Cox of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Charles Edward Cox, Rickey Lee Cox, Mickey Ray Cox, and Billy Ray Cox of Louisville; one step-daughter, Barbara Shirley Cooper of Taylorsville, Kentucky; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Sylvia Combs of Louisville and Mildred Shofner and Wanda Dillinger of Summersville; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers: Geneva Cox, Aline Keown, Haskell Cox, David Cox, William L. Cox, Eldridge Arvin Cox, and one brother in infancy.

Rick Combs of Mannsville, son of Deloris Combs Compton, was born in Magoffin County, Kentucky, July 10, 1959. He died at 5:03 A.M., Friday, January 3, 2014 in Mannsville. Age: 54
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He was a retired restaurant employee after thirty years of service.
He united in marriage to Evelyn Dudley June 10, 2005.
Besides his wife, Evelyn Combs of Mannsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Rickey Combs, Jr. of Oregon and Tiffany Combs of Loganville, Georgia; two step-daughters: Tanya Fisher of Campbellsville and Tara Rowe of Columbia; one step-son whom he raised, Josh Lay and his wife, Heather, of Nicholasville; one granddaughter, Cheyanne Combs of Loganville, Georgia; his mother, Deloris Combs Compton of Louisville; one brother and one sister: Gerald Whitley and wife, Susan of Louisville and Wanda Billings and husband, Allan of Mannsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Back.

George Sweeney Martin, age 76, of Liberty, KY passed away on Wednesday January 1st, 2014, at the Casey County Hospital. He was born in Liberty, KY on September 10th, 1937 to the late James and Mary Vivian Passmore Martin.
He was a Night Watchman at Watson’s Sawmill and Gate Shop and a Courier for the Lexington Herald Leader.
Survivors include his wife: Emma Martin, Four Sons: Greg and (Denise) Martin, Jimmy and (Sharon) Martin, Joey and (Lauren) Jones and Tommy and (Michelle) Jones all of Liberty, One Daughter: Teresa and (Mike) Helm of Lebanon, KY, Seventeen Grandchildren, Twenty Four Great-Grandchildren and One Sister: Mary Florence Jones of Campbellsville, KY.
Preceding him in death was Two Sons: George Sweeney Martin Jr. and David Glen Martin, Three Brothers: Frank, Gene and James Edward Martin and Four Sisters: Ruby Blankenship, Beulah Smith, Louise Lay and Auda Francis Martin.
Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. on Friday January 3rd, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 4th, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Phillip J. Martin of Campbellsville, son of John R. Martin and Dorcas Gribbins Martin and Starr Brown and Michael Semones, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, August 7, 1993. He died at 2:23 P.M., Thursday, January 2, 2014 in Taylor County as the result of an automobile accident. Age: 20
He was a former employee of McDonald’s and Kroger and currently, was an apprentice boiler maker at PIC Group.
He is survived by his parents, John R. and Dorcas Gribbins Martin of Knifley and Starr Brown of Taylor County and Michael Semones of Mercer County; three sisters and one brother: Shiann, Ashlee, Brooklyn and Cody; two nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Ron Coleman of Jeffersonville, Indiana, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late John Coleman and Jean Lakin Coleman, was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, June 12, 1948. He died at 2:43 P.M., Wednesday, January 1, 2014, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Age: 65
He professed faith in Christ and attended St. Marks Lutheran Church.
He was an employee of Rauch, Inc., in Jeffersonville, Indiana and was loved very much by the mentally challenged adults he worked with. He was a former basketball coach at Campbellsville University and former employee of Adanta in Campbellsville, LifeSpring in Jeffersonville and The New Hope.
He united in marriage to Roxanne Farmer Perry March 1, 1988.
Besides his wife, Roxanne Perry Coleman of Jeffersonville, he is survived by two daughters: Mindy Jane Coleman of Ashville, North Carolina and Stacy Noel Coleman of Portland, Oregon; three step-children: Mike Perry and wife, Beverly of Denver Colorado, Kathy Graham of Bowling Green and Bethany Perry of Jackson, Tennessee; five step-grandchildren: Shanel Perry, Wesley Perry, Erica Gaines, Sheree Newton and Clint Graham; seven step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Steve Coleman of Jacksonville, Illinois; one nephew, Aaron Coleman; and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Larry Ray Wilson, of Campbellsville, went to rest with his Lord on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 51 years old. He was the son of the late Finis Ray and Clarice (Franklin) Wilson. He had been employed as a delivery driver for Sysco Food Service. Until an accident left him disabled, Mr. Wilson enjoyed spending time outside, especially when the seasons allowed him to landscape. He answered the call of duty as a young man, and served his country honorably in the Army National Guard. Mr. Wilson had made a profession of faith in Christ, and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church.

One son – Donald Ray Tucker and wife Lana, of Louisville,

His father-in-law and mother-in-law – Wade Cobb and Mona Davis of Greensburg,

Lewis H. Gupton of Campbellsville, son of the late Robert Gupton and Sally Sanders Gupton, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, May 17, 1927. He died at 5:40 P.M., Sunday, December 29, 2013, in Radcliff. Age: 86

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a retired farmer and construction worker and former employee of Bourbon Cooperage and Fruit of the Loom and had served as a Campbellsville Police Officer and Taylor County Sheriff’s Deputy.
He united in marriage to Marie Barnes November 12, 1949.
Besides his wife, Marie Gupton of Campbellsville, he is survived by three sons: Ronnie Gupton and wife, Lisa of Campbellsville, Larry Gupton and wife, Edna of Brandenburg, and Jerry Gupton of Miamisburg, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Michelle Tucker, Brandon Gupton, Jade Sanders and Darren Gupton of Campbellsville, Jason Gupton of Springboro, Ohio, Sarah Nottingham of Indianapolis, Indiana and Lindsey Sailor of Franklin, Indiana; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister and their spouses: George and Carolyn Gupton, Bill and Lena Gupton and Laverne and Dennis Crawley Jr. of Campbellsville and Lawrence and Audrey Gupton of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was a graduate of the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine and had practiced as a pediatrician specializing in allergies and asthma.
