OBITUARY
Rose Marie Turner-Gaddie

Gone to a better place, Sunrise June 1, 1934 Sunset May 17, 2013.  Rose was 1 of 14 children born to the late Owen M. and Mary B. Calhoun-Turner.  She joined Pleasant Union at the age of 8yrs.Old under Pastor William Reed, where she remained a member until her death.  She was a member of the Mass choir, Pres. Of the missionary and Deacon Ministries Wives, Superintendant of the Sunday school. She also sang with “The Rick Brown Ensemble” of Louisville, Ky.  Rose worked at Fruit of the Loom, Louisville Bedding of Louisville and Munfordville, KY until her retirement.

Rose was a very loving Christian woman; she loved GOD and all his people. She never met a stranger, or turned anyone away that needed help. Nanny as she was affectionately called by many that loved her opened her heart and her home to her siblings as well as others.  She was inspirational in helping to raise several children, she may not have had her own biological children but she was a mother to many.  Nanny was very proud when she went back to school and earned her GED, because she was in her forties, but she didn’t let that hinder her.  Nanny and her late husband Rev. Gaddie loved to travel going to see family and visiting places that neither had ever been.  She loved life and her family but she loved GOD more.  She had a signature smile, every time you saw her she had a smile for you, no matter what was going on in her life.  Nanny you will be greatly missed by many, especially the three you called your babies (Diana, Paula & Nova).  Rest now your work here is done “WE LOVE YOU”
