          Betty J Cline, age 91 of Campbellsville, died Tuesday, May 07, 2013, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, Kentucky.

          Betty Cline was the  daughter of the late Susan Elizabeth (Fobiar) and John Round, she was also preceded in death by her husband Jack Cline, one son-in-law; Roger Despain, one grandson-in-law; Todd Smith, three brothers; William R. Round, Lesie Round and John Henry Round, Four Sisters; Opal E. Atkins, Bertha L. Beverage, Iola Atkins and Genevieve Field.

          Betty was a member of Steadfast Baptist Church of Hodgenville, Kentucky, she was an instructor at Fruit of the Loom for Thirty-five years as well as a loving mother and grandmother and a caring friend to many.

          She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; James M (Nancy) Cline of Frankfort,  and two daughters and son-in-law; Janice Despain of Campbellsville and Jacqueline (Duane) Moran of Carmel, Indiana, seven grand children; John Cline, Billy Despain, Jayne Smith, Aaron Moran, Juile Frey, Cate Colett and Matt Cline, and fourteen Great Grandchildren.

          Funeral Services for Ms. Betty Cline were conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 10th in chapel of Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

          Eldred “E.C.” Stapleton, age 88, formerly of Campbellsville, died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Rockford Health and Rehab in Louisville, Kentucky.

          E.C. Stapleton was the son of the late Ogin Cowan and Millard Stapleton, also proceeding him in death one daughter; Jackie Earl Stapleton, four brothers; Samuel, Manuel, Andrew Stapleton and Ed Cowan, five sisters; Virginia Burton, Dilrie Wheat, Doris Stapleton, Frances Stapleton and Agnes Burton.

          E.C. was a member and Deacon of 30 years at the Keys Ferry Baptist Church, he was retired from American Standard Company a hard worker and a loving father.

          He is survived by one son Bill Stapleton, two daughters and son-in-laws; Kaye (Larry) Stephens and Tami (Buddy) Pierson all of Louisville.

          Funeral Services for Mr. Eldred Stapleton were conducted 11:00 A.M.  Saturday, April 11th at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Elliott Cemetery.

          Family requested Thursday night visitation held 3 to 8 P.M. at Schoppenhorse-Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in Brooks, Ky., and after 11 A.M. Friday at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville, Ky.

Evelyn Roberts Hunt

Evelyn Roberts Hunt of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lester Roberts and Anna Sexton Roberts, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, April 30, 1937, Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 10:24 A.M., Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Campbellsville.   Age: 76

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Bobby “Mo” Hunt, who preceded her in death January 14, 1995.

She is survived by one son, Jeffrey K. Hunt of Campbellsville; one sister and two brothers:  Peggy Hall and husband, Buster and Richard “Buck” Roberts of Campbellsville and Jerry Roberts of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters:  Clifford Roberts, David Roberts, Margie Wise and Lydia Bell.

          Connie Lynn Moore, age 55, of Cardinal Lane, Campbellsville, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.

          She was the daughter of the late Mildred Mae Sportsman and Marple Gene Moore.

          Connie was born in Brookfield Missouri and was attending International Gospel Lighthouse Church.  Connie enjoyed life on the road driving a truck and being a mom, she was a loving companion, mother, nana and friend to many.       

          She is survived by two daughters, one son and daughter-in-law, Cherokee Moore of Indiana, Brandi Escudero of Campbellsville and Justin and Carla Hoosier of Bowling Green. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Halli Sioux Allgood, Amelia Grace Escudero, and Alexis Danielle Hoosier and her companion Beril Hoosier. Two brothers, Ronald Moore of California and Donald Moore of North Carolina also survive.

          Funeral services for Connie Lynn Moore were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Callahan Cemetery.

Davis of Texas, formerly of Campbellsville, son of Will Davis and Donna Kessler Davis, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, June 16, 1977.   He died at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, April 25, 2013, in Conroe, Texas, after a seventeen month battle with leukemia at M. D. Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Age:    35

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper, Texas.

He was a logistics specialist with the Department of Homeland Security.

He was a member of the Rainbow Masonic Lodge #735 A.F. & A.M. in Newton, Texas.

He is survived by his parents, Will and Donna Kessler Davis of Campbellsville; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeremiah and Tabetha Davis of Campbellsville; maternal grandmother, Helen Kessler Browning and husband, Charles Richard of Sarasota, Florida; paternal grandfather, Garnett Davis, Sr. of Campbellsville; two nephews:  Elliott Kessler Davis and Evan Shofner Davis of Campbellsville; an aunt and uncle, Tammy and Greg Cox of Campbellsville; two cousins, Sarah Cox and Elijah Cox of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Kessler March 16, 2008 and his paternal grandmother, Bernice Hash Davis August 30, 2011.

Jane Underwood, of Lebanon Junction, daughter of the late Henry Larimore and Iva Thompson Larimore was born April 2, 1930 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. She died at 12:35 P.M., Friday, April 26, 2013 in Louisville. Age: 83

She united in marriage to Charles Underwood in 1950.

Besides her loving husband of sixty-three years, Charles Underwood, she is survived by one son and daughter-in- law, Dennis and Rhonda Underwood of Shepherdsville; one grandson, Zachary Underwood of Lebanon Junction; three sisters: Linda Herron and husband, Roy and Elaine Underwood of Campbellsville and Dorothy Pennington and husband, Johnnie of Mannsville; a brother-in-law, Mike Maupin of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Douglas Underwood in 2008 and one sister, Martha Maupin.

          Ida Mae Murray, age 78, of Knifely, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

          Ida Mae was the daughter of the late Bessie Pearl Osborne and Charlie Baker Holcomb, she was also preceded in death by one son; Jimmy Murray, one daughter; Lisa Belvins, three brothers; Oscar, Ernest and Arvin Holcomb and one sister and brother-In-Law; Lorene and Earl Persinger.

          Ida was retired from Brown William out of Louisville after 27 years.  She was a loving and caring wife and grandmother and was kind to all her friends and family.

          She is survived by  her husband Floyd Robert Murray of Knifely, one grandson; Timmy Blevins and one Great Granddaughter Amani Bridgewater, one brother; Gordon Kenny Holcomb of Indiana and one sister Viola Giles of Knifely along with a host of family and friends.

Jean Jaynes of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Roy Clarke and Zelma Humphrey Clarke,  was born June 30, 1934, in Adair County, Kentucky.  She died at 7:51 P.M., Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Louisville.  Age: 78

She was a retired Nurses Aide.

She united in marriage to Kermit Jaynes March 12, 1949.  He preceded her in death July 21, 2005.

She is survived by two daughters:  Gwen Robinson and husband, Gary of Lawrenceburg and Pamela Barber and husband, Denny of Louisville; seven grandchildren:  Lisa Cowherd of Campbellsville, Jason White, Jonathon White, Melissa Barber and Corey Barber of Louisville, Erin Robinson of Lexington and Amanda Finnegan of Issaquah, Washington; seven great-grandchildren:  Austin Chandler, Aaron White, Aiden White, Caden Cowherd, Kelsie Bowling, Julian Roscoe and Bennett White;  four step-grandchildren:  Pam White, Michelle White Bruner, Terri Kirkland and Laura Flamini; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna White December 10, 2004 and a granddaughter, Stephanie Barber.
