          Ida Bell Corbin, age 90, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab in Taylor County.

          Ida Bell was the daughter of the late Virginia Alice Pike Perkins and Ben Harrison Perkins, she was also preceded in death by her husband Linward Buddy Beal, one daughter Lillie Mae Sherrell, one brother Ed Perkins, three sisters Venetta Barnet, Irene Bault and Mattie Perkins.

          She was a member of the St Andrews Methodist Church; she was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister, as well as a loving friend to many.  Ms Corbin worked in many place in the community; Wal-Mart and The Wishy Washy Laundry Mat both in Central Plaza Shopping Center and the Taylor County Lunchroom.

          She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Donna Corbin and one daughter Brenda Shofner all of Campbellsville, five grandchildren; Brad and Chad Shofner, Blake Corbin, Melinda Thompson and Trista Moss, three great grandchildren; Amerbly Gayle Thompson, Brandon Lewis Thompson and Dalton Trey Shoftner, three sisters Margaret Barnet, Virginia Askven and Loretta Sharp all of Campbellsville, along with a host of family and friends.

          Graveside services for Ms. Ida Bell Corbin were conducted at 11 AM Thursday, February 28, 2013 in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Thomas Charles Ross II, age 37, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his residence in Campbellsville.
He is survived by his wife Melissa Ross, one son Tyler Ross both of Campbellsville, his father Charles Thomas Ross Sr. of Indiana and mother Valerie Jo Markos of Lake Butler, Fl. Along with a host of family and friends.

She is survived by her parents, David and Jennifer Carter Harmon of Campbellsville; two sisters, Cheyanne Rose Harmon and Kayla Mae Harmon of Campbellsville; one step-sister, Alisha Harmon of Horse Cave; maternal grandmother, Lois Ann Carter of  Campbellsville; parternal grandparents, Larry and Lettie Harmon of Greensburg and great-grandmother, Ivanelle Burris of Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Carter.

Glen Newton of Campbellsville, son of the late Malcom Newton and Elizabeth Agee Newton was born August 2, 1934 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 9:28 A.M., Sunday, February 24, 2013 in Campbellsville.             Age: 78

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

He was retired from Houchens Grocery, a farmer, a country vet and a self-employed HVAC technician.

He united in marriage to Alma Wise November 18, 1953.

Besides his wife, Alma Newton of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons and one daughter:  Allen Newton and wife, Janice, Donnie Newton and wife, Alisha and Pam Newton of Campbellsville;  nine grandchildren: Lucas Newton and wife, Leticia, Jacob Newton and wife, Cheryl, Clint Newton, Hallie Newton, Tyler Akins and wife, Cheryl, Sarah Harmon, Angela Dunn and husband, Joseph, Malcom Newton and Michael Cooper;  eight great-grandchildren: Matthew Newton, Autumn Newton, Gabriel Newton, Raymond Salinas, Leticia Salinas, Josie Dunn, Zach Robertson and Jasmin Robertson;  four brothers and sisters-in-law: Orville and Rena Newton, Shorty and Delores Newton, Robbie and Diane Newton and Danny and Faye Newton; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jonathan Glen Newton and one sister, Martha Nell Benningfield.

Clyde Berry of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Wingler and Mary Farmer Wingler, was born September 29, 1919, in Pike County, Kentucky.  She died at 6:25 A.M., Friday, February 22, 2013 in Campbellsville.    Age: 93

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Shively Berry July 3, 1938.  He preceded her in death November 6, 1994.

She is survived by one daughter and one son:  Hilda Carroll and husband, Kenny of Campbellsville and Ronnie Berry and wife, Laura of Durham, North Carolina; four grandchildren:  Debbie Nunery and husband, Dave of Campbellsville, Greg Carroll and wife, Kay of Louisville, Ryan Berry and wife, Allison and Olivia Berry of Elizabethtown; five great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Quisenberry of Lexington; one sister-in-law, Bernice Wingler of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Sharon Dobson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William (Jiggs) Hinton and Geneva Wright Hinton, was born June 26, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky.  She died at 8:35 P.M., Tuesday, February 19, 2013, in Elizabethtown.     Age: 66

She was a former coordinator for Toys for Kids and a former member of FOP Ladies Auxiliary and the Campbellsville-Taylor County Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary.

She united in marriage to Carl Dobson on April 11, 1976.

Besides her husband, Carl Dobson, she is survived by two daughters and five step children: Melissa Neal and Michelle Coyle of Louisville, Janet Poling and fiancé, Dennis Hilbert of Eminence, Doug Dobson and wife, Brenda of Lebanon, Barry Dobson and wife, Michelle of Campbellsville, Ronnie Dobson and wife, Becky of Hustonville and Sharon Tuttle of Campbellsville; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Robert Hinton and wife, Barbara of Sellersburg, Indiana, Claude Edward Mudd Jr. and wife, Kay and Alma Reeb and husband, Gene of Irvington, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, James B. (Butch) Hinton.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom and former employee of Scott’s Ladies Apparel.

She united in marriage to Edgar A. Cave December 14, 1942.  He preceded her in death January 25, 1985.

          Gene Allen Hash, age 72, of Campbellsville  died here Saturday, February 16, 2013, at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.

          He is survived by two brothers and one sister, Buddy Hash of Lakeland, Florida, Earl Hash and Jewell Chastain both of Campbellsville and Special Friend China Dickerson.

Merle Wise of Campbellsville, son of the late Forrest Wise, Sr. and Ruby Childs Wise, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, July 24, 1922.  He died at 7:38 P.M., Thursday, February 14, 2013, in Campbellsville.     Age:   90

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for many years.

He was a member for many years of the Andy Bowen Masonic Lodge and Gideons International.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.  He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, Phillipine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, the Good Conduct Ribbon and the Victory Medal.

He was a self-employed businessman of Campbellsville for seventy years.

He united in marriage to Juanita Sullivan April 30, 1949.

Besides his wife, Juanita Wise, he is survived by three sons and three daughters:  Forrest W. Wise and wife, Judy of Cave City, Dianna Mueller and husband, Chris of Munfordville, Mark Wise and wife, Becky, Denise Wise and Brad Wise and wife, Angie of Campbellsville and Dawn Wise of Lexington; fourteen grandchildren:  Beth Gaines, Brian Wise, Rob Wright, Russ Wright, Allison Frazier, Chris Wise, Lindsey Wise, Michael Wise, Dylan Wise, Tiffany Kane, Justin Wise, Connor Wise, Jessica Huntt and Amanda Mueller; thirteen great-grandchildren:  Anderson Wise, Sean Frazier, Emily Frazier, Johnathan Wright, Julia Wright, Austin Wright, Ashley Wright, Nicholas Huntt, Katelyn Huntt, Ellie Huntt, Raylee Mueller, Ashton Adams and Ally Adams; one brother and two sisters:  Carl Ray Wise and wife, Mildred of Lexington, Anna Lee Johns of Campbellsville and Beulah Smothers of Keenansville, Florida; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
