NANCY LOU HORD SANDIDGE

 

Nancy Lou Hord Sandidge, of Danville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ben Hord and Birdie Phillips Hord was born February 5, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Friday, July 19, 2013 in Danville.      Age: 83

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville.

She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Taylor County Schools.

She enjoyed traveling with her girlfriends over the years, spending time with her family and working crossword puzzles.

She was the wife of sixty-two years to Dwight Phillips Sandidge.

Besides her husband, Dwight Sandidge of Danville,  she is survived by one son and one daughter: Ben Sandidge and wife Suzanne of Danville and Beth Levinson and husband, Sammy of Bowling Green; six grandchildren: Jess Sandidge, Brook Hollis, Samantha Sandidge, MacKenzie Sandidge, Meggan Graham and Erin Faulkner; three great-grandchildren, Keaton Hollis, Lola Hollis and Reid Graham; three sisters: Eddie Garvin of Florida, Betty Pike of Campbellsville and Annie Laurie Cox of Greensburg; a sister-in-law, Clara Nelle Hord of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Richard Hord.

Michael E. “Sleepy” O’Banion of Campbellsville, son of the late William Byron O’Banion and Dorothy Hord O’Banion was born August 10, 1948 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 3:45 A.M., Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Campbellsville.          Age: 64

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

He was a retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Highways.

He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca P. Chaudoin of Greensburg; four grandchildren: Blake Chaudoin, Katie Chaudoin, Faith Wright and Allen Wright; three brothers and one sister: William Ray O’Banion and wife, Shelia, Harold O’Banion and wife, Nancy, Donald O’Banion and wife, Vicky of Campbellsville and Diane Estep and husband, Kenneth of Elizabethton, Tennessee; special friend, Barbara Donahue of Bardstown; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Kay O’Banion in infancy.

Sue Durham of Campbellsville, daughter the late Lloyd Clark and Wilma Pugh Clark, was born April 27, 1944 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. She died at 12:05 A.M., Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Campbellsville.     Age: 69

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She was a retired school teacher with Taylor County School System.

She united in marriage to Jim Durham, March 8, 1968.

Besides her husband, Jim Durham of Campbellsville, she is survived by one son and one daughter, Kevin Durham and wife, Amy of Campbellsville and Jamie Warren and husband, Willie of San Diego; five grandsons: Kelly Michael Durham, Eli Blake Durham, Brodie Clark Warren , Reece Kevin Durham and Gradie James Warren; two sisters and one brother: Jean Crowe and husband, Evan of Cox’s Creek and Joyce Wright and husband, Tom and John David Clark and wife, Sandy of Louisville; a brother-in-law, Mike Durham and wife, Sandy of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Michael David Durham, May 4, 1977.

Corrine Cobb Williams of ElkHorn, daughter of the late William H. Cobb and Cordie Acree Cobb, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, June 15, 1928. She died at 5:18 P.M., Saturday, July 13, 2013, in Campbellsville.     Age:   85

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the ElkHorn United Methodist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and a former employee of Kroger.

She united in marriage to Carl “Pete” Williams May 6, 1960. He preceded her in death June 26, 1986.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Michael Williams and wife, Cindy of ElkHorn and Douglas Williams and wife, Gayle and Nellie Sue Underwood and husband, Bro. Randall of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Jessica Williams, Lindsey Williams, Carl Williams, Deandra Harris and husband, Matthew, Geoffrey Underwood and wife, Amber, and Missy Hicks and husband, Adam of Campbellsville; eight great-grandchildren: Samuel Williams, Madison Williams, Olivia Harris, Noah Harris, Emily Harris (unborn), Haley King, Jacob Brown, and Michael Thomas Underwood (unborn); two sisters and one brother: Mary Nell White and husband, Daniel of Campbellsville, Ruby Waters of Greensburg, and Shelley Cobb and wife, Maxine of Mt. Muriel Gene Tedder, of Louisville, formerly of Knifley, son of the late William Sherman Tedder and  Hattie Bernice Rich Tedder, was born April 24, 1933, in Adair County, Kentucky.  He died at 2:20 A.M., Wednesday July 10, 2013 in Louisville. Age:  80

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith.

He was a retired employee of the Adair County School System.

He is survived by one son, Steve Tedder of Louisville; two grandsons:  Michael Tedder and Sean Tedder of Louisville; one sister, Marie Merritt of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters:  Earl Tedder, Walter Tedder, Carl Tedder, Dean Tedder, Velma Douglas, Alma Brandenburg,  Kathryn Hutcherson, Frances Callari, Faye Thornley and Wanda Tedder.

April Rae (Gupton) Miles, age 40, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in Campbellsville.
She is survived by her husband Rik Miles of Campbellsville, one daughter and son-in-law; Rachel and Patrick Beasley of Ratcliff, two sons; Joshua Tucker of Campbellsville and Aaron Miles of Bowling Green, one grandchild; Rylee Beasley, one brother; Tommy Durham of Holmes Bend and two sisters; Marilyn Rayna Landis and Bobbie Kaye Holmes both of Campbellsville, along with a host of family and friends.

Donald L. Williams, of Campbellsville, son of the late Leroy Williams and Gertrude Bestwick Williams, was born April 12, 1933, in Grove City, Pennsylvania.  He died at 8:20 P.M., Tuesday July 9, 2013 in Campbellsville.

Age: 80

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Marines.

He was a retired employee of Ingersoll Rand Company in Campbellsville.

He united in marriage to Patsy Parrish September 20, 1952.  She preceded him in death July 23, 2010.

He is survived by one daughter and one son:  Jo Anne Hunt and husband, Larry of Campbellsville and Jeffrey L. Williams and wife, Karen of Westerville, Ohio; four grandchildren:  Matthew Williams of Los Angeles, California, Benjamin Williams and wife, Bridgette of Jacksonville, Florida, Amanda Goff and husband, Russ of Greensburg and Alex Hunt of Lexington; three great-grandchildren:  Claire Goff and Carly Goff of Greensburg and Reagan Williams of Jacksonville, Florida;

several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Lenkner.

She united in marriage to George H. Crabtree January 3, 1942.  He preceded her in death April 9, 2009.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Barry K.
