          Mrs. Barbara Jean Fisher, age 66 of Taylor County died Sunday, June 9, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Green County.

          Barbara was the daughter of the late Delphia Richardson Clark and Ray Clark, she was also preceded in death by one sister Shirley Mills of Lebanon.

          She is survived by her husband Daniel Fisher, one son Charles Ray Shepperson both of Campbellsville, two daughters and son-in-law; Veronica Gunterman and (Michael Adams) and Tammy Jo and Jason Cox all of Campbellsville, three stepsons; Michael and (Tammy) Fisher of Campbellsville, Ricky and Barbara Fisher of Lebanon and Chris Fisher of Loretta, twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild, along with a host of family and friends.

          Funeral Services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Fisher were conducted Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Bible Baptist Church, with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens all arrangements by Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.

Linda Lou Roberts of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Tyler Roberts, Sr. and Oneta Baker Roberts, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, June 25, 1945.  She died at 8:01 A.M., Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Campbellsville.   Age: 67

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Batesville Casket Company and had worked as a caretaker and nurse’s assistant.

She is survived by two brothers and one sister:  James Roberts, Jr. and Allen Thompson of Campbellsville and Brenda Lewis and husband, Jr. of Shepherdsville; two nieces:  Vickie Coy and husband, Alan of Mt. Washington and Robin Hughes and husband, Steve of Georgetown; two great-nephews:  Zachary Hughes and Noah Hughes of Georgetown; beloved dog, Casey; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Sinkhorn.

Eula Mae Nunn of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Evan Wood and Tressie Childers Wood, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, November 11, 1929.  She died at 7:20 A.M., Monday, June 3, 2013 in Louisville.   Age: 83

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Jehovah Witness faith.

She was a retired employee of  Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to James R. “Dickie” Nunn June 18, 1970.

Besides her husband, James R. “Dickie” Nunn, she is survived by seven daughters:

Darlene Warren and husband, Charlie, Debra Faye Campbell and husband, Jeff H., Jr., Sherry Nunn and husband, Kenneth and Jennifer Denise Rucker and husband, Richard of Campbellsville, Peggy Ann Skaggs of Danville, Connie Mae Brown of Greensburg and Wendy Floyd Mattingly and husband, Terry of Lebanon; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Donnie Wood and wife, Louise of Campbellsville;

several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Wood.

Leon Shepherd of Campbellsville, son the late Ernest Garley Shepherd and Hester Ellen Burress Shepherd was born April 26, 1949 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. He died at 5:16 A.M., Saturday, June 1, 2013.          Age: 64

He was employed at Fruit of the Loom and Lowe’s.

He united in marriage to Wanda Faye Swafford April 18, 1969. She preceded him in death September 16, 2008.

He united in marriage to Rhonda Wilson Coomer July 4, 2009.

Besides his wife, Rhonda Shepherd of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and son-in law Melissa and Dr. Matt Marshbanks of Louisville; five step-children: Louie, Les, Ryan, Serena and Tiffany; two grandchildren, Addison Claire Marshbanks and Grant Matthew Marshbanks; ten step-grandchildren; three sisters: Jeanne Lentz and June Hoskins and husband Bo of Campbellsville and Carolyn Galloway of Brooks; one half-brother and one half-sister:  Dwayne Shepherd and Faye King; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Leon O’Neal Shepherd May 26, 1975.

Judy A. Richardson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Tom Harris and Dencie Bray Harris, was born in Nelson County, Kentucky, January 5, 1944. She died at 12:35 A.M., Friday, May 31, 2013 in Lexington.   Age: 69

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Union Band Baptist Church in Nelson County.

She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom and Clarcor in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Earnest Richardson January 17, 1975.

Besides her husband, Ernest Richardson of Campbellsville she is survived by one sister, Wanda Willis of Campbellsville; a nephew, Jamie Willis of Elizabethtown; a great niece and nephew, Gavin Willis and Abby Willis; two sisters-in-law: Stella Thompson and husband, Donnie and Millie Parker of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Junior Harris.

James Allen of Campbellsville, son of Marie Emerson Allen and the late James Shirley Allen was born May 21, 1950 in Casey County, Kentucky. He died at

8:47 A.M., Thursday, May 30, 2013 in Louisville.       Age: 63

He professed faith in Christ, was a Church Of God Minister and attended God’s Grace Church.

He worked for Fruit of the Loom as a sewing machine mechanic.

He united in marriage to Berniece Allen December 19, 1970.

Besides his wife, Berniece Allen of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Willis and one granddaughter, Emily Nevaeh Willis of Campbellsville; his mother, Marie Allen of Liberty; two brothers and seven sisters: Johnny Allen, Katherine Brown, and Donna Myers of Liberty, Mark Allen of Tennessee, Joan Conner of Burnside, Thelma Tucker of  Knifley, Helen Vonlinger of Lancaster,  Rebecca Coffey of Russell Springs and Marilyn Earles of Hustonville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Velma Allen and Judy Mowyer.

Mr. Dennis Ray Campbell

Mr. Dennis Ray Campbell, age 78 years, of Columbia, passed away on Thursday in Lexington at the VA Hospital.

He was the son of the late: Joseph Foskett and Dollie Wooten Campbell.

Mr. Campbell was a former car dealer, a farmer and a Veteran, having served in the United States Navy.

He Had made a profession in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife: Carolyn Campbell of Columbia.

A son: Dennis Campbell and his wife: Jeanie of Campbellsburg, KY.

Two daughters: Dena Litchfield and her husband Mike of Campbellsville and Niko Campbell of Columbia.

A sister: Thelma Hancock and her husband Tommy of Harkers Island, NC.

4 grandchildren: Tristin Campbell of Columbia, Jordan Campbell of Campbellsburg, KY, Sarah and Ben Litchfield both of Campbellsville.

His mother-in-law: Estelle Cox of Campbellsville.

A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a brother: Davis Campbell and a sister: Doris Jean Campbell.

The funeral service for Mr. Dennis Ray Campbell, will be conducted Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. EST at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville with Bro. Cutler officiating.

Charles Douglas (C. D.) Miller of Campbellsville, son of the late Richard A. “Dick” Miller and Virginia Callison Miller, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, October 10, 1932.  He died at 1:00 A.M., Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Campbellsville.     Age:   80

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church where he had served as a deacon.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and later retired from the Kentucky National Guard.

He was a member of the ElkHorn Masonic Lodge #568 F. & A. M.

He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

He united in marriage to Barbara Wright November 7, 1953.

Besides his wife, Barbara Miller, he is survived by three daughters:  Sherry Miller and Connie Miller of Frankfort and Kay Wright and husband, Brian of Ft. Myers, Florida; two grandchildren:  Haley Brooke Wright and Coleman Douglas Wright of Ft. Myers; one sister, Betty Gaines of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; one brother-in-law, John Tapscott of Bowling Green;

several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters:  Jim Dick Miller, Jane Cantrell and Patsy Tapscott.

James E. Owens

James E. Owens of Campbellsville, son of the late James Owens and Nellie Walden Owens, was born in Estill County, Kentucky, August 6, 1922.   He died at 10:30 P.M., Monday, May 27, 2013, in Campbellsville.     Age:   90

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Bible Baptist Tabernacle.

He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and the United States Air Force, where he retired at the rank of Technical Sergeant after twenty plus years.

He was awarded many commendations and medals, including the Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Clasp with five loops, serving in the 56th Fighter Interceptor Squad at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, Good Conduct Medal Silver Clasp with one loop, Strategic Air Command and Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, United Nations Service Medal and Army of Occupation Medal (Japan).

He united in marriage to Patricia M. Bonsteel, who preceded him in death.

He united in marriage to Kathryn Gibson Owens July 18, 1953.  She preceded him in death June 13, 2004.

He is survived by one daughter: Linda S. Hilbert of Erie, Pennsylvania; two grandsons:  Philip J. Hilbert, II and wife, Laurie of Mobile, Alabama and Gregory S. Hilbert and partner, Karl Shearer, Jr. of Erie, Pennsylvania; one great-grandson, Philip J. Hilbert, III; one brother, Herman Owens and wife, Letha of Dunedin, Florida; one nephew, Gary Owens of Florida; special friend, Margey Mabe of Campbellsville; beloved cat, Percy and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Sherman Owens, Robert Owens, Henry Owens, Lucy Ann Owens, Julia Owens and Tracy Owens.

George Alfred Ratcliff – Obit

Mr. George Alfred Ratcliff of Campbellsville passed away on Sunday, May 26, at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab facility after 84 years of life. He had been employed as a construction worker, horse trainer and farrier, and as an oil well serviceman before his retirement. Besides being an avid outdoorsman, Mr. Ratcliff also enjoyed talking on his CB radio. His handle in the CB community was “Horseshoe Man”.

Mr. Ratcliff was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Sudie Carlisle Ratcliff, and one son, Donnie Ratcliff.

He is survived by:

Four sons – Phillip Ratcliff of Salina, TN, Dewey Ratcliff of New Albany, IN, Keith Ratcliff and Junior Ratcliff, both of Campbellsville.

One daughter – Susan Miller of Campbellsville.

10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
