DR. WILLIAM R. NEAL
Dr. William R. Neal of Campbellsville, son of the late Amos Neal and Ethel Owens Neal was born February 15, 1943 in Brockwell, Arkansas. He died at 7:00 A.M., Saturday, November 3, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 69
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.
He received a PhD from the University of Mississippi and was an English Professor and Chairman of the English Department at Campbellsville University.
He united in marriage to Beth Ann McCarty July 13, 1982.
Besides his wife, Beth Ann Neal of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: John Neal and fiancée, Katrina Melton of Lexington and Joanna Neal of Portland, Oregon; one step-son, Christian Darrow and wife April of Dalton, Pennsylvania; two step-grandchildren, Ashley Darrow and Ryan Darrow of Dalton, Pennsylvania and many other relatives and friends.

Harold Johnson, age 56, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, KY after an illness.
He is survived by seven brothers and sister-in-laws; Bobby and Fannie Johnson ,Ernest Ray and Letha Johnson, Marshall Johnson, Leon Johnson, Lonnie Johnson all of Campbellsville, George Henry of Monticello, Jerry Johnson of Somerset, two sisters and brother-in-laws; Martha and Bobby Drye of Indianapolis, IN and Beatrice Johnson of Campbellsville, step-mother; Mary E. Johnson, three step-sisters and three step-brothers,
along with a host of friends and family.
Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Monday, November 5, 2012 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Laura Hourigan of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Duncan Brockman and Pearl Wood Brockman, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, November 1, 1924. She died at 8:16 A.M., Thursday, November 1, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 88
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church.
She was an employee of Jane and Linda Sportswear in Lebanon and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to William David Hourigan, Sr. in 1942. He preceded her in death in 1979.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Merle Hourigan and Curtis Wayne Hourigan of Campbellsville and Brenda Spalding and husband, Wesley of Shepherdsville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two sons: William David Hourigan November 24, 2004 and James G. Hourigan October 18, 1996 and a sister, Beulah Bault.

Margaret Juanita Nelson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Willie Ernest Richerson and Addie Colvin Richerson, was born in Cisco, Illinois, March 14, 1933. She died at 11:22 P.M., Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in Elizabethtown. Age: 79
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Texaco after thirty-three years of service.
She united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Nelson January 25, 1986.
Besides her husband, Dick Nelson, she is survived by two step-sons and spouses; five step-grandchildren; two brothers: Les Richerson and wife, Nellie and Earl Richerson of Lebanon; twenty-two nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Dick Richerson, Luke Richerson, Albert Richerson, and Norma Jean Richerson.

Clora England Campbell of Lynchburg, Virginia, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Dr. Westerfield Biggers England and Anna Letitia Martin England, was born in Mudlick, Kentucky, December 9, 1913. She died on Monday, October 15, 2012, in Lynchburg, Virginia. Age: 98
She professed faith in Christ and was a life-long member of Campbellsville Christian Church.
She was a retired teacher with the Campbellsville School System.
She united in marriage to James Lester Campbell, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Dr. James L. Campbell, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Lynchburg, Virginia; two granddaughters: Jamie Ann Plank and husband, Colin and Marianne Elizabeth Campbell of Lynchburg,
Virginia; one great-granddaughter, Elodie Anya Plank and many other relatives and friends.

Betsy Ann Cottrell of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Woodrow Pittman, Sr. and Annie Frances Green Pittman, was born in Woodford County, Kentucky, February 19, 1939. She died at 3:08 A.M., Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in Louisville. Age: 73
She professed faith in Christ.
She was a retired factory employee.
She united in marriage to Charles Francis Cottrell, who preceded her in death on May 26, 2010.
She is survived by two daughters and one son: Darlene Roberts and Michelle Smith of Midway and Charles Francis Cottrell, Jr. of Campbellsville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: William Pittman, Jr. of Lancaster, Danny Lee Pittman of Midway and Linda Wheeler of Sparta; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

SSG (Ret.) Cliff Parke of Campbellsville, son of James Shelby Parke and Runell Boston Parke, was born in Sulphur Well, Kentucky, July 8, 1954. He died at 6:20 P.M., Saturday, October 27, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 58
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army for over twenty-one years primarily as a Telecommunications Specialist and Recruiter. He retired as a staff sergeant and was awarded many medals and citations including: Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), National Defense Service Medal with one Bronze Star, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4th Award), Driver and Mechanic Badge, US Army Gold Recruiter Badge with three Sapphire Achievement Stars, Sharpshooter Qualification Badge, M-16 Rifle and M-9MM Pistol.
He served during the Vietnam Era and Desert Storm Era, having retired on September 30, 1995.
He united in marriage to Joyce Sumner Strunk April 9, 1988.
Besides his wife, Joyce Strunk Parke, he is survived by two step-sons: Eddie Strunk and fiancée, Jennifer Nicholas and Tim Strunk and wife, Karen; two grandsons: Cody Strunk and wife, Bobbi Jo and Keagan Strunk; three great-grandchildren: Anisia Strunk, Caitlin Strunk, and Keagan Edward Strunk, Jr.; all of Somerset; his parents, James Shelby and Runell Parke of Campbellsville; two sisters and their husbands: Jenene and Clark Bledsoe of Floyds Knobs, Indiana and Pattie and Ray Doyle of Marietta, Georgia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
