Martha Marcum of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Arvin Thomas Burba and Eva Lee Phillips Burba, was born September 25, 1924, in Larue County, Kentucky. She died at 12:25 A.M., Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 88
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Saloma Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to William Marrell Marcum August 5, 1939. He preceded her in death February 2, 1995.
She is survived by five sons and one daughter: Tommy Marcum and wife, Shirley of Greensburg, Mike Marcum and wife, Annetta, Hack Marcum and wife, Sylvia, Harold Marcum, Larry Marcum and wife, Darlene and Shelia Morgeson and husband, Lanny of Campbellsville; thirteen grandchildren: David Marcum of California, John Marcum and wife, Laura Lee, Josh Marcum and wife, Lynn, Brandi Marcum, Angie Marcum-Call and husband, Casey, Sherri Benningfield, and Dianna Milby and husband, Todd of Campbellsville, Tim Marcum of Simpsonville, Joe Morgeson and wife, Tammy of Berea, Daphni Price and husband, Jeremy of Georgetown, Rodney Morgeson and wife, Misty of Bardstown, Joey Livers and Jimmy Dan Livers of Lebanon; eighteen great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Benningfield, Andrew Benningfield, Hannah Marcum, Jacob Marcum, Luke Marcum, Landon Marcum, Weston Mitchell, Riley Milby, Madie Call, Chelsey Morgeson, Zach Morgeson, Cameron Morgeson, Madison Morgeson, Olivia Price, Shiana Livers, Joseph Livers, Samuel Livers and J. D. Livers; one brother and one sister: William Charlie Burba of Hodgenville and Dorothy Rodgers of Louisville;
several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, William Robert Marcum in infancy; one grandson, William Boyd Perkins, III and three brothers and two sisters: Frank Burba, Tom Burba, Floyd Burba, Mary Lee Davis and Lucy Helen Harned.

He survived by his daughter and son- in-law Dana and Michael Milby, Two brothers and sister- in-laws Otis and Shelia Clements, Verrel and Deloris Clements, two sisters and one brother-in-law Ila Dudgeon and Lillian and Jackie Bishop, one grandchild Brennan Mattingly, all of Campbellsville
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday, September 28, at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home chapel. Family request visitation from 6 to 8 P.M Thursday, at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home and after 8 A.M. Friday.

Paul Eric Hunt, age 65, of Campbellsville, died Saturday at Taylor Regional Hospital.
Mr. Hunt was the son of the late Della Short and John Edgar Hunt, he was also preceded in death by his wife Aileen Gribbins Hunt, and three brothers John Hunt, Bud Hunt, Earl Hunt, two sisters Irene Benge and Joyce Cox.
Paul was a retired truck driver and enjoyed life with his family and friends.
He Is survived by one son, James Hunt and Angie, one Daughter Sherry and John Hunt, two granddaughters, Jami Carlberg and husband Trey, and Brooklyn Watson, three great grandchildren Lexi Hall, Gabi Carlberg, and Madi Carlberg, one brother Tommy Hunt, two sisters Dorothy Graham and Bonnie Hunt, three sister-in-laws, Tressie Hunt , Jessie Hunt and special friend Alta Jean Hunt. Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Alberta French of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Willie Sprowles and Irene Yates Sprowles, was born March 7, 1937, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 4:40 P.M., Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 75
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Zion Separate Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to William H. (Buster) French January 16, 1954.
Besides her husband, Buster French, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Annetta Reynolds and husband, Gary of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Austin Reynolds and wife, Kaylin of Campbellsville and Miranda Coffey and husband, Richard and Brittany Shuffett and husband, Evan of Greensburg; five great-grandchildren: Gavin Coffey, Carlee Coffey, Brooklyn Shuffett, Kayla Shuffett and Jaida Shuffett all of Greensburg; two brothers and two sisters: Glevins Sprowles, Coleman Sprowles and Geneva Shofner of Campbellsville, and Chrystal Sullivan of Valley Station; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death byone brother and one sister: Virgil Sprowles in infancy and Lavoy Price.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Herman Patton April 27, 1953.
He preceded her in death December 11, 2004.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Dr. Gary Patton and wife, Mabel of Huntington, West Virginia; one granddaughter and one grandson: Monica Howell and husband, James of Teays Valley, West Virginia and Kyle Patton and wife, Jeni of Proctorville, Ohio; four great-grandchildren: James Logan Howell, Lucas Howell and Addison Howell of Teays Valley, West Virginia and Colton Patton of Proctorville, Ohio; one brother: Eli Garrett of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Mary E. Luttrell of Unicoi, Tennessee, daughter of the late Harvey Roe Luttrell and Myrtle Fair Luttrell was born in Casey County, Kentucky, August 5, 1945. She died at 7:21 P.M., Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Johnson City, Tennessee. Age: 67
She was employed at the VA Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee.
She is survived by one brother and one sister: Roger Dale Luttrell of Elkhorn, and Kathy June Luttrell of Cub Run; many nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother, Betty Jean Kilby, Connie Sue Gaddis, Polly Luttrell, Cora Belle Luttrell and Gerald Dean Luttrell.

Mary R. Nelson Miller of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Robert Nelson and Laura Jones Nelson, was born June 23, 1917 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She passed peacefully to her heavenly home at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 95
Mary, also known as “Grams”, will be warmly remembered for her lively and playful nature.
She was a homemaker, caregiver and a longtime member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Leonard Miller who preceded her in death January 28, 1981.
She is survived by two daughters and one son: Joy Eskridge of Campbellsville, June Cherry and husband, Leroy of Greenville, North Carolina and John Paul Miller and wife, Mary of Ft. Myers, Florida; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two grandsons: Jim Eskridge February 28, 2001 and Lanny Eskridge April 20, 2011; one great-grandson, Jordan Eskridge September 1, 2012 and six brothers and one sister: Roscoe Nelson, Goldman Nelson, Garrett Nelson, Walter Nelson, Chester Nelson, Roland Nelson and Grace Hedgespeth.

He was a retired farmer.
He served his country honorably in the United States Navy.
He united in marriage to Nellie Sneed January 3, 1975 who preceded him in death April 7, 2001.
He is survived by one step-son: Allan Skaggs of Campbellsville; one granddaughter: Sheena Harris and husband, Chad of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: Ethan Harris, Angel Harris and Leah Harris, of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law: Charles Sneed and wife, Elizabeth of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.

Helen (Niece) Ford, age 70, formerly of Taylor County, died Saturday, at her residence in Center, Kentucky after a long illness.
She was the daughter of the late Hattie Church and William E. Glover; she was also preceded in death by her husband Jim Ford.
Niece was a loving mother and friend to many and enjoyed playing her music on the guitar.
She is survived by one son Kenneth Lee Lawson of Center, Kentucky and one daughter Kimberly Dalton of Nashville, TN, four grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren, one brother William (Sonny) Glover and one sister Francis McDonald of Elkhorn.
Graveside Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 AM Central Standard Time, Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at the Houk Cemetery in the Shady Grove Area.
