Arthur Cone of Campbellsville, son of the late Robert Allen Cone and Louise  Wheeler Williams Cone, was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota August 31, 1920. 

He died at 6:12 A.M., Tuesday, May 24, 2011, in Campbellsville.   Age:  90

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethel First Presbyterian Church.

He was employed as a grain buyer for Archer Daniels Midland for approximately thirty-four years.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Corps and was a veteran of World War II.

He united in marriage to Susan Eichhorn June 11, 1944.  She preceded him in death February 10, 2009.

He is survived by one daughter and one son:  Melissa Dunn and husband, Kevin of Campbellsville and Jeremy Cone and wife, Beth of Excelsior, Minnesota; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers:  Robert Cone and Thomas Cone.

Mary Rochelle Druen, age 75 of Walling Street, Campbellsville, died Sunday May 22, 2011 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Perry and Pauline McClain Ragland.  She was also preceded in death by her brother
Darrell Ragland.

She is survived by two daughters & sons-in-law, Darlene and Larry Loy  and Lynn and Homer Hibbard all of
Campbellsville, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, one sister, Janice Ragland of Lagrange.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Floyde Donham of Campbellsville, formerly of Terre Haute, Indiana, son of the late Carl Donham and Clara Farris Donham, was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, February 14, 1940.  He died at 6:03 P.M., Sunday, May 22, 2011, in Louisville.   Age:  71

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.

He was employed as a truck driver.

He united in marriage to Karen Feller. 

Besides his wife, Karen Donham of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son, Perry Donham and wife, Colleen of North Attleboro, Massachusetts; one granddaughter, Jennifer Donham of New Hampshire; two step-granddaughters:  Stephanie Worobey and Samantha Worobey of New Hampshire; two brothers and five sisters:  George Donham, Willard Donham, Kathryn McCallister, Nancy Donham, Joy Schultz, Carla Clifton and Brenda Donham; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

David Curtis of Mannsville, son of Anna Margaret Coulter Curtis and the late Joseph David Curtis, was born in Boyle County, Kentucky, November 7, 1945.  He died at 12:45 A.M., Friday, May 20, 2011, in Mannsville.        Age:    65

He professed faith in Christ and is a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greensburg.

He was employed as a construction mechanic.

He is survived by one son and two daughters:  Dwayne Curtis and Kim Thompson and husband, Greg of Campbellsville and Kandy Jo Curtis of Lexington; seven grandchildren: Amber Gribbins and husband, Kirby of Bradfordsville, Paige Thompson, Bailey Thompson, Tayler Thompson and Chloe Thompson of Campbellsville, John David Seebold of Lexington and Candace Parson of Russell Springs; two great-grandchildren:  Kaylee Cheatham and Tori Gribbins of Bradfordsville; his mother, Anna Margaret Curtis of Danville; two sisters:  Violet Curtis of Mitchellsburg and Bonnie Whitis of Danville; his former wife, Lottie Curtis of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Parson May 10, 2010.

Emma B. Allen of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Frank Skaggs and Mattie Coakley Skaggs, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, November 19, 1912.  She died at 6:50 A.M., Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in Campbellsville.  Age:  98

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Willard H. Allen.  He preceded her in death May 23, 1939.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Helen and Wayne Sprowles of Campbellsville; two granddaughters:  Diane Mardis of Campbellsville and Retha Sprowles of Louisville; two great-grandsons:  Kyle Mardis and special friend, Beverly Lynn of Campbellsville and Brandon Mardis and wife, Devin of LaGrange; three great-great-granddaughters:   MaKayla Mardis, Emma Hadley and Gracie Hadley; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Elsie Rae Whitley of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Milton Tungate and Elnora Herron Tungate, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, November 29, 1927.  She died at 7:12 A.M., Friday, May 13, 2011 in Campbellsville.  Age:  83

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church.

She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Lewis W. Whitley December 7, 1946.  He preceded her in death September 14, 2001.

She is survived by two daughters:  Phyllis Fair and husband, Brad and Brenda Emerson and companion, Lanis Goode of Campbellsville; two grandsons:  Jeff Roark of Campbellsville and Timmy Roark of Monticello; seven great-grandchildren:  Cody Cox, Kelly McKenzie Cox, Chris Roark, Chad Roark, Amber Roark, Kyle Roark and Kelly Cave; two great-great-grandchildren:  Kalab Roark and Kaden Cave; three sisters: Mrs. Elmer Gipson, Mandy Harden and Olene Gaddis of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ricky Dean Cox November 30, 2001; four brothers and two sisters:  Jesse Earl Tungate, Onie Tungate, Perry Tungate, Albert Tungate, Janie Farmer and Mae Farmer.

Dr. J. Chester Badgett

Dr. J. Chester Badgett of Campbellsville, son of the late Thomas F. Badgett and Lelia Grace McClanahan Badgett was born in Casey County, Kentucky, January 18, 1915. He died at 12:38 P.M., Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in Louisville.              Age:    96

He professed faith in Christ early in life and is a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He was a 1936 graduate of Georgetown College and received his Th. D. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. and Mrs. Badgett served Clear Creek Baptist Church in Woodford County, Little Mount Baptist Church in Spencer County, Utica Baptist Church in Daviess County, Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Ohio County and Campbellsville Baptist Church in Taylor County, Kowloon Baptist Church in Hong Kong and Bethel Baptist Church in Caracas, Venezuela.  He served on the Boards of Trustees at Campbellsville University and New Orleans Theological Seminary, and was past president of the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Kentucky Baptist Convention.

He was the last surviving charter member of the Campbellsville Kiwanis Club.

He united in marriage to Ruth W. Cloyd September 15, 1936. She preceded him in death November 11, 2009.

He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Tony Badgett and wife Priscilla, Ruth Ann Badgett Shaw and husband Bob of Frankfort and Dr. Thomas Badgett and wife Rachel of Louisville; five grandchildren: Dr. Joseph Russell Shaw and wife Caroline of Bloomington, Indiana, Jason Robert Shaw and wife Rachel of Frankfort, Jill Badgett Van Tassel and husband Joel of Lexington, Julie Badgett of Richmond, and Dr. Thomas Curry Badgett and wife Jeanne of Kensington, Maryland; seven great-grandchildren: Ian Shaw, Emma Shaw, Merritt Shaw, Sawyier Shaw, Elizabeth (Beppy) Badgett, Eleanor Ruth Badgett, and Lois Curry Badgett; one sister and brother-in-law, Sue Ella and Victor Gehlhausen of Stanford; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Faulkner Badgett and Wesley Badgett.

Rev. Billy Ray Bowen of Campbellsville, son of the late Leslie B. Bowen and Lola Holt Bowen, was born September 20, 1933 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 2:08 A.M., Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 in Campbellsville.  Age: 77

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #48.

He was a retired Baptist minister for over fifty years and was also a retired police officer with the Anderson Indiana Police Department.

He united in marriage to Sheila Warren Skaggs September 21, 2007.  

Besides his wife, Sheila Skaggs Bowen, he is survived by three sons and one daughter:  Danny Bowen and wife, Penny of Franklin, Indiana, Jeffrey Bowen and wife, Christina and Barbara Harris and husband, J. B. of Anderson, Indiana and John Bowen and wife, Melissa of Petersburg, Illinois; two step-children:  Brandon Skaggs and wife, Amanda and Lori Skaggs and fiancee’, David Lowe of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; six step-grandchildren; one sister and one brother:  Helen Glasscock of Campbellsville and Edward Bowen of Clarkson; sisters-in-law, Rita Bowen of Campbellsville and Gladys Bowen of Fairfield, Ohio; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Agnes Warren of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the Elk Horn Masonic Lodge #568 F & AM. 
He was a residential construction contractor.
He united in marriage to Della Ann Wise November 19, 1962. 
Besides his wife, Della Ann Minor, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Brad Scalos of Campbellsville; three grandchildren:  Stephanie Scalos of Louisville, Meredith Scalos and Andrew Scalos of Campbellsville; his mother, Nora Lee Minor of Campbellsville; three sisters:  Maxine White and husband, Willie, Connie White and husband, Ronnie and Brenda Watson and husband, Doug of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Kathy Minor of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She united in marriage to Joey Sallee November 21, 1945.  He preceded her in death April 11, 1993.  

She is survived by one brother and three sisters:  Thomas Mardis, Louise Bohanon, Bernice Bowen and husband, J. R. and Betty Stearman of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Mardis of Campbellsville and Gwen Sallee of Saybrook, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister:  Charles Mardis and Lela Harmon.
