Dorothy Harrison of Campbellsville, daughter of the late T. E. Acree and Lizzie McMahan Acree, was born January 3, 1923, in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 11:43 A.M., Friday, August 7, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Meadowview Baptist Church.
She had been employed at Metzmeier Nursing Home as a nursing assistant and also in the Campbellsville High School cafeteria.
She united in marriage to Miller Harrison January 26, 1943. He preceded her in death April 4, 1997.
She is survived by two sons and their spouses: Michael and Bettiana Harrison of Campbellsville and Tom and Penny Harrison of Concord, Ohio; four grandchildren: Jennifer Harrison of Mentor, Ohio, Danny Harrison of Madison, Ohio, Christopher A. Harrison of Campbellsville, and BeckyMartin of Houstonville; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Ray Acree and wife, Marion of Greensburg and Margie Gorslene of Marysville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Esther Cox Gabehart, daughter of the late Garrett Cox and Mary Callahan Risen was born August 12, 1928, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 4:18 P.M., Friday, August 7, 2009 in Louisville. Age: 80
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of The Loom in Campbellsville and Frankfort.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Carol ldquo;Bunnyrdquo; and Marvin McCubbin of Mt. Washington; two granddaughters: Heather (Jason) Vogel of Louisville and Courtney Nolley of Mt. Washington; one great-grandson, Cailen Nolley of Mt. Washington; two sisters: Readth Howard of Hollandale, Florida and Geneva Turner of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers: Dena Rohan, John Martin Cox and James Paul Cox; and step-father, Carl Risen.

Lorene Rhodes, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Hubbie C. Graham and Bessie Ann Caulk Graham, was born March 21, 1931, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 12:27 P.M., Thursday, August 6, 2009 in Elizabethtown. Age: 78
She retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville in 1989.
She united in marriage to Bert Rhodes, Jr. March 31, 1956.
She is survived by her husband, Bert Rhodes, Jr. of Campbellsville; two daughters and one son: Betty Harmon and fianceacute;e, Ben Hamilton, Patricia Wheat and husband, Doug and David Rhodes and wife, Leslie of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Ben Benningfield, Amy Gregory, Lacey Priddy, Whitney Rhodes, Rachel Rhodes and Jennifer Rhodes of Campbellsville and Jennie Benningfield of Lexington; two brothers and two sisters: Goldie Graham, Tressie Hunt, Roy Graham and wife, Juanita and Freddie Graham and wife, Betty Jean of Campbellsville; sister-in-law, Dorothy Graham of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Judy Benningfield, June 14, 2000 and three brothers: James Earl Graham January 2, 1937, Robert Graham March 4, 2001 and Edgar Graham November 21, 2001.

Marie Irene Smothers, 90, of Campbellsville, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late Willie and Bessie Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her husbands Omer Pike, Shrive Akin, and Merle Smothers, three daughters Mary Ann Clark, Katherine Pike and Nellie Jean Webb, one step brother Leo Sullivan. She was a member of First General Baptist.
She is survived by her two sons and spouses, Kenneth and Sharon Pike of Knifley, Melvin and Maxine Pike of Campbellsville, two daughters and spouses, Edna Mae and Bobby Read, Opal and Paul Judd both of Campbellsville, three step sons, Dean Smothers, Louis Smothers, and Danny Smothers and three step daughters, Pat Dile, Jenna Fay Dile, and Judy Smothers, one sister, Juanita Wise of Campbellsville.

Joseph Waymon, 49, of Raikes Hill Road, Elk Horn, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Doyle, Eugene and Richard DeWayne Waymon.
He is survived by his parents Donald Doyle and Teresa Jane Waymon, one son David Joseph Kerr, one daughter Bessie Marie Wethington Campbellsville, one granddaughter, Leah Ann Kerr of Campbellsville, two sisters, Judy Faye Simpson of Campbellsville, Beverly Ann Lacefield of Elizabethtown, special friend, Brenda Rich of Campbellsville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM, Saturday, August 8, at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Elliott Cemetery.

Venetta Barnett of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ben Harrison Perkins and Virginia Pike Perkins, was born February 12, 1913, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 7:15 P.M., Wednesday, August 5, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 96
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church where she was the oldest member.
She united in marriage to Ernest Barnett May 3, 1930. He preceded her in death March 9, 1991.
She is survived by four sisters: Loretta Sharp, Virginia Askren, Margaret Barnett and Ida Belle Corbin of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Murrell Barnett March 1, 1950 and one brother and two sisters: Edwin Perkins, Mattie Perkins and Irene Bault.

Cameron Jamal Irvin, age 16, of Radcliff, Kentucky died Saturday, August 1, 2009 after a traffic accident. He was a student and basketball player for North Hardin High School.
He was preceded in death by is grandfather, Henry Arthur Taylor and great grandfather, John Anderson.
He is survived by his mother, Lennie Taylor of Radcliff , father and step-mother, Derieco and LaWanda Irvin of Louisville, brothers and sister, Ontrell Mitchell, Steven Mitchell, Bronson Taylor, Jashawn Taylor, Jamal Thompkins and Angelita Taylor all of Radcliff and one step-brother, Lajuan Hazard, paternal grandparents, Michael and Lucy Irvin of Campbellsville, maternal grandmother, Ruby VanCleave of Radcliff and paternal great grandmother, Ruth Anderson of Campbellsville.

Miss Loneta Sublett, daughter of the late Branch Sublett and Eulen Corbin Sublett, was born June 19, 1926, in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 1:30 A.M., Monday, August 3, 2009. Age: 83
She was retired from the Taylor County School System after serving fifty-eight years in the capacities of teacher, superintendent and administrator. She had also been employed as a teacher at the University of Wisconsin for two years.
She is survived by cousins: Jerry Arnold and wife, Kathy, John Arnold and wife, Lisa and Edwin Arnold and wife, Geraldine of Columbia and Doris Jean Arnold of Campbellsville and many other cousins, relatives and friends.

Arlene Farmer of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Arthur Hepner and Elizabeth Fuerst Hepner, was born in Kewanee, Illinois February 8, 1927. She died at 1:37 A.M., Sunday, August 2, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 82
She was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
She had been employed as an ray technician at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville and as a nursing assistant at Taylor Regional Hospital.
She united in marriage to Ancil L. Farmer Sr. who preceded her in death November 25, 1998.
She is survived by one daughter, Nola J. Speairs of Campbellsville; four step-sons and six step-daughters: Lee Farmer, James Farmer, Mary Burton, and Karen Kearney of Campbellsville, Roger Lee Farmer of Denver, Colorado, and Connie Batovsky Harkness, Bonnie Klempner, Gail Linker, Patty Bergin, and Michael Farmer of Louisville; six grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; nineteen step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother,Leonard Hepner in infancy and one sister, Lorenz Hepner; three step-grandchildren: John Linker, Jr, Jeffrey Richard Farmer and Eric Wayne Harkness and two great-grandchildren: Joseph Menold and Cheyenne Crockett.

Charles (Charlie) Junior Gribbins
Charles (Charlie) Junior Gribbins, 70, of Hamilton Street, Campbellsville, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Taylor Regional Hosptial after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Charlie and Myrtle Malone Gribbins. He was preceded in death by his brothers Johnny Gribbins, George Gribbins, and Billy Gribbins and sisters Lucille Tucker and Dorothy Griffons.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Orberson of Lebanon, sisters and spouses, Agnes Thomas of Campbellsville, Gracie Spurling of Mansville, Mary and Kenneth Belton-Edwards of Greenwood, Indiana and a special friend Gerald Hunt of Campbellsville as well as several nieces and nephews. He was of Baptist faith and a retired farmer by trade.
