Alfred Edmond Price, 89, of Bardstown, formerly of Campbellsville died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Flaget Memorial Hospital after an illness.
He was the son of the late Joe Turner and Betty Jane Price. Also preceding him in death was his brothers, Charlie Price, Archie Price, Henry Price, Turner Price, and Lee Price, his sisters, Dorothy Blythe, Lena Dockery, Mamie Martin and Ella Beck.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Price of Bardstown, two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Herold Sluder of Shepherdsville, Betty and Dale Barth of Ohio, six grandchildren, Sandy Gail Ballinger, Pamela Jean Rogers of Louisville, Gary Michael Miller of Mt. Washington, Willisa Redford, Jeffrey Mozena of Ohio and Todd Redford of Oregon, eleven great grandchildren, Alex, Josh, Liz, Jhen Mings, Noah Sluder, Taylor Sarah Fegett, Stephanie Johnson, Shawn and Crystal Lyon and Tiffanny Ballinger, four great great grandchildren, MacKenzie Raye Lyon, Ashton, Madeline and Hayden Patrick Reitzel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 AM, Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Ella Mary Sallee, daughter of the late Govner Taylor Wyatt and Sally Edna Long Wyatt, was born March 31, 1932, in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She died at 3:25 A.M., Sunday, July 12, 2009 in Louisville. Age: 77
She professed faith in Christ, was Baptized, and a member of the Sunny Hill Church of Christ.
She united in marriage to William E. ldquo;Billrdquo; Sallee December 14, 1952.
Besides her husband, Bill Sallee of Campbellsville, she is survived by a daughter, Gina Lyn Sallee and her special friend, Gary B. Cox of Campbellsville; four brothers and two sisters: Matthew A. Wyatt and Johnny W. Wyatt of
Russell Springs; Prentice ldquo;Popcornrdquo; Wyatt, Benjamin F. Wyatt, Judy Nunn, and Brenda Carol Judd all of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters: Rubin Wyatt, Henry Wyatt, Chester Wyatt, Taylor Melt Wyatt, Arissia Thompson, Marie Lancaster Martin, and Josephine Wyatt.

CARL PERKINS
Carl Perkins, son of the late Jim Perkins and Violet Rice Perkins, was born November 30, 1936, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 5:55 P.M., Saturday, July 11, 2009 in Cincinnati, OH. Age: 72
He was a farmer.
He united in marriage to Mary Richard January 30, 1965.
Besides his wife, Mary Perkins of Campbellsville, he is survived by one brother, Herbert Lee Perkins and one sister-in-law, Rita Perkins both of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert P. Perkins April 19, 2007 and Shirley Gene Perkins February 1, 1941.

Mary Ellen Hedgespeth, daughter of the late Billie Reynolds and Catherine Graham Reynolds, was born September 25, 1942, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 66
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church where she had been the song leader, Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Womenrsquo;s Missionary Union.
She had been employed at Citizens Bank and Trust Company for forty-six years.
She united in marriage to Ralph Hedgespeth June 1, 1963.
Besides her husband, Ralph Hedgespeth of Campbellsville, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Bobby and Jessica Hedgespeth of Campbellsville; one unborn grandson, Chase Thomas Hedgespeth; four sisters and three brothers: Audrey Cowherd, S. L. Reynolds, Tommie Lee Reynolds, Marcia Sue Colvin and Barry Reynolds of Campbellsville, Emma Milby of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Betty Hall of Newington, Georgia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers: Catherine Lee Reynolds, Elsie Gaddie, Fletcher Reynolds, Alvin Reynolds and Romey Reynolds, Sr.

Merline Foster, 73, of Lucian Sallee Road, Campbellsville, died Saturday, July4, 2009 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her father, Granvil McDonald, her husband, Louie Foster in 1987, one son, Kenny Ray Foster and two daughters, Robyn Gail and Shelia May Foster, one breother Nicholas McDonald and one sister, Gracie Brown.

Raymond Bell of Campbellsville, son of the late Howard Bartlett Bell and Dona Frances Newcomb Bell, was born August 8, 1922, in Taylor County, Kentucky. Age: 86He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church where he was a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years.He was retired from the Taylor County RECC after thirty-eight years of service. Patricia Reed of Mannsville, daughter of the late Charles Samuel Cox, Sr. and Ethelene Elmore Osborne Cox, was born November 16, 1946, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:50 A.M., Sunday, June 28, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 62
She was employed at TG Kentucky in Lebanon and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and Jamestown.
She united in marriage to Doug Reed September 30, 1964.
Besides her husband, Doug Reed of Mannsville, she is survived by two daughters:
Kim Pike of Mannsville and Pam Moore and husband, Richard of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: John Moore and Kyle Moore of Campbellsville, Adam Powell, Felicia Powell, Cameron Craig and Dakota Craig of Mannsville; one brother and one sister: Jerry R. Mr. James Kenneth Perkins, age 79, of Elkhorn Road, Campbellsville, died Friday at Hardin Memorial Hospital after an illness.
He was the son of the late Edward P. And Mary Perkins. He was a former employee of Campbellsville Auto Parts. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Perkins, of Campbellsville, one son and daughter-in-law, Terry Ray and Brenda Perkins of Campbellsville, two grandchildren, Jasper Perkins of Mississippi and Casey Perkkins of Campbellsville.
Funeral services for Mr. James Kenneth Perkins will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday June 29, 2009 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Lebanon National Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County DAV.

Alvin ldquo;Shortyrdquo; Rafferty, owner of Campbellsville Laundry since 1947, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at the age of 94. Son of the late Frank Rafferty and Nora Dabney Rafferty, he was born January 6, 1915, in Taylor County, Kentucky.
He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Corps with Chuck Yeager and the 357 fighter group known as The Yoxford Boys. On January 14, 1945 the group destroyed fifty-six enemy aircraft, establishing an air combat record. He was involved in the following battles and campaigns: Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe, Ardennes and Air Offensive Europe. He received the EAME Theater Ribbon with 6 bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge and World War II Victory Medal and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the ElkHorn United Methodist Church.
He united in marriage to Elizabeth Phillips June 2, 1941. She preceded him in death September 25, 2005.
He was a sixty-five year member of the ElkHorn Masonic Lodge #568 F amp; AM and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Pitman Lodge #157, The American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Until recent years he was an avid fisherman with numerous large catches of bass and muskie.
He is survived by two daughters, Dr. Faye (Tuddy) Howell, and Pat Mings of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Cheri (Michael) Parke, Nikki (Darrin) Price and Dustin Mings of Campbellsville, Robbie Beard of Texas, and Jeremy (Nelly) Hogan of Florida; four great-grandchildren: Amanda Hughes, Amber (Tyler) Gray, Kristan Beard and Lanigan Price of Campbellsville; one great-great-grandson, Laityn Gray of Campbellsville; one brother and two sisters: Carl (Anna) Rafferty of Taylor, Michigan, Sylvia Goins of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Wilba Davis of Louisville; a sister-in-law, Clara Lee Raffety of Campbellsville; a special friend, Larry Taul of Mt. Sterling; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Rafferty, M.D. September 21, 1995 and three brothers: Murrell ldquo;Peterdquo; Raffety, Arvil Rafferty and Wallace ldquo;Chetrdquo;Rafferty.
