Helen Bohanon Cox of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lonzo Thomas Bohanon and Pansy White Bohanon was born May 4, 1927 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 3:15 P.M., Saturday, May 23, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 82
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.
She and her husband founded Cox Cabinet Company, Cox Interior and Cox Weather Stripping (which is now Mannsville Sash and Door).
She united in marriage to Charles E. Cox December 16, 1944. He preceded her in death September 30, 2002.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter and their spouses: Barry and Lucy Cox, Lanny and Joyce Cox and Kay and Larry Legg of Campbellsville and Steve and Moira Cox of Louisville;fourteen grandchildren: Jennifer Taylor, Aaron Cox, Karol Simmons and Charles Cox of Campbellsville, Grant Cox, Landon Cox, Lanai Cox, Erica Rinehimer, Ryan Arnold and Ashley Arnold of Louisville, Benji Cox of Atlanta and Lee Anne Simmons of Cincinnati, Ohio, Briann Eastridge of Columbia and Shane Legg of Burkesville;thirteen great-grandchildren: Morgan Taylor, Cayela Harris, Austin Cox of Campbellsville; Ashton Cox, Grant Cox, and Jackson Rinehimer of Louisville, Peyton Back, Benjamin Cox and Sophia Cox of Atlanta and Evan Simmons of Cincinnati, Chaz Giles, Van Giles and Kerri Ann Legg of Columbia; one great-great-grandson, Ceaton Harris of Campbellsville, a sister-in-law, Velma Bohanon of Campbellsville; a nephew and his wife, Alan and Rita Bohanon and a great-niece, Ashley Elizabeth Bohanon of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Cosby Bohanon October 2, 2000.

Kermit Junior Greer
Kermit Junior Greer, 70, died Wednesday at his residence after an illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gibb and Marie Greer, also preceding him in death by his brothers and sisters, Herman Greer, Eddie Greer, Joseph Greer, Iza Mae Peyton, Louise Thompson and Stella Irene Greer.
He is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky Greer, Robin Greer and his fiancee, Annie Dotson all of Campbellsville and Ronnie and Teresa Kay Greer of Florida, one step-daughter Jessica Sharpe of Campbellsville, five grandchildren, Holly Dudgeon, Shane Greer, Patrick Greer, Jeremy Greer, Eric Greer and two great grandchildren, Lilly and Creed Dudgeon, one brother, Ernie Greer of Campbellsville, Shirley Cox of Campbellsville and Evelyn Gay Bault of Campbellsville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10AM, Friday at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Harden Cemetery.

Cora Lee Garrett of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Roy McFall, Sr. and Mattie Pearl Stearns McFall, was born May 5, 1937. She joined her angels on Monday, April 20, 2009 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, after a courageous battle with cancer. Age: 71
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She united in marriage to Earl Weaver Garrett. He preceded her in death December 21, 1991.
She relished raising her children as she moved across the country with her husbandrsquo;s career and she instilled this adventurous spirit in her children as well.
She loved her work as a people greeter at the Campbellsville Wal Mart, where customers and co-workers alike remember her endearing smile, generous nature and positive outlook on life.
She is survived by three daughters and one son: Cynthia Gavins of Vancleave, Mississippi, Lisa Klop of Brunswick, Maine, Tammy Fields of Raleigh, North Carolina and Richard Garrett of Acworth, Georgia; one brother, Calvin McFall of Campbellsville; two loving grandsons and one great-granddaughter; one special aunt; several nephews and one niece and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by twin sons, Benny and Denny McKinney October 4, 1955 and one brother, Roy McFall, Jr. February 8, 1989.

Cremation was chosen by the family.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville.
Bradford-Orsquo;Keefe, Howard Avenue, Biloxi, Mississippi, was entrusted with her cremation and as per her wishes, her ashes will join those of her husbandrsquo;s when they are scattered over the North Georgia Mountains by her children.

Onie Lee Farmer, 78, of Liberty Road, Campbellsville, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 , at Taylor Regional Hospital.
He was the son of the late, Bery and Bethy Ellen Farmer. He was also preceded indeath by his first spouse, Delois Farmer in 1984, his brother Roy Farmer, three sisters, Iva Jean Gabehart, Cora Watson and Mary Louise Wright.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Farmer of Campbellsville, four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Leann Farmer, Carl Farmer, Gregory Dean and Eva Farmer all of Mannsville, Bobby and Martha Farmer of Elizabethtown, two daughters and son-in law, Barbara and Bobby Lee, Phyllis Farmer and her companion, Bobby Sanders all of Columbia, step-children and their spouses, Darren Baldridge, George Harrison both of Knifley, William Boyce and Gail Harrison, Betty Joyce and Lewis Clemons, all of Russell County, Irene Hurt of Tennessee, Debra Bryson of Columbia, Sandra Kaye and Roger Tucker of Elizabethtown and Jacqueline Centure of Finley Ohio. Also surviving is seventeen grandchildren, twenty five step grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and several great step-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jessie Harris of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lewis Whitlock and Mary French Whitlock, was born December 27, 1914, in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 8:20 P.M., Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in Campbellsville.
Age: 94
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Rolling Fork Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Orvey Harris June 4, 1938. He preceded her in death July 14, 1992.
She is survived by four sons and five daughters: Minnie Sullivan, Betty Graham, George Harris, Carl Harris and Mary Rose Hensley of Campbellsville, Kathy Thompson of Hovious Ridge, Modine Keeling of Shepherdsville, Jimmy Harris of New Albany, Indiana and Charles Harris of Clarksville, Indiana; thirty-eight grandchildren; sixty-eight great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Hallie Harris and Tillie Allen of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one daughter and one son: Dottie Mae Bagby and David Harris and two brothers and three sisters: Bessie Thompson, Ben Whitlock, Flora Thompson, Ardie Mae Underwood and Arvin Ray Whitlock.

Ruby Allene Rafferty
Ruby Allene Rafferty, 80, of Rafferty Road died Saturday at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Alda Howell. She was preceded in death by her husband John Rafferty, one brother, Guy Howell and one sister, Mattie Mae Tharp. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom and a member of Pittman Valley Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Walter Ray Rafferty, Steve and Carrie Rafferty, Kathy and Ricky Rood, and Margaret and Billy Benningfield all of Campbellsville, also surviving is eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one nephew Gordon Howell of Bowling Green and one niece Patty Sidebottom of Campbellsville.

David Shreve, age 70, of Campbellsville, died Thursday in Louisville after an illness.
He was the son of the late Edgar Lee and Della Marie Shreve. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Elizabeth Shreve.
He is survived by his companion, Janice Harmon, three sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and Laura Shreve of Bowling Green, Kevin and Tami Harmon of Campbellsville, Craig and Sharon Harmon of Tennessee, four daughters and son-in-law Sookie Jane Shreve of Bowling Green, Dottie and Donnie Gehrett of Wyoming, Connie Walker and Lana and Gary Wright of Campbellsville. Fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for David Shreve will be conducated at 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Shreve Cemetery at Merrimac with full military honors by the Marion County DAV.

Charlie Perkins of Campbellsville, son of the late James Franklin Perkins and Montrie Ester Clark Perkins, was born May 26, 1944, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:57 P.M., Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 64
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He had been employed as an iron construction worker.
He is survived by two sons and three daughters: Toni Bright of Campbellsville, Jeff Perkins, Tracy Daley, Charlie Perkins and Melissa Perkins of Boston, Massachusetts; several grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Jimmy Dale Perkins and wife, Brenda and Ruth Tungate and husband, Ollie of Campbellsville and Eugene Perkins of Boston, Massachusetts; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Perkins Elders October 25, 1997 and Doris Perkins Deering June 20, 2003.

William ldquo;Billrdquo; Kean of Campbellsville, formerly of Jamestown, son of the late Edward Kean and Pearl Barnett Kean, was born April 2, 1928, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He died at 6:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 13, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Temple.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a retired police officer with the Jamestown Police Department and was a constable for some ten years in Taylor County. He was currently a member of the Kentucky Constable Association.
He united in marriage to Dorothy Woods Kean. She preceded him in death June 17, 2003.
He united in marriage to Louise Harrison Polley October 19, 1991.
Besides his wife, Louise Polley of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons and one daughter: Clyde Kean and Mary Emma Marcum of Jamestown and Ronnie Kean of Georgetown, Indiana; four step-children: James Robert Polley of Campbellsville, Charles Polley of Lebanon, Albert Polley of Liberty and Connie Jo Stewart of Frankfort;seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Maude George of Lebanon and many other relatives and friends.

Ina Cowherd of Louisville, formerly of Taylor County, daughter of the late Ambrose Roy Graybeal and Sara Ruth Phipps Graybeal, was born March 17, 1920, in Knifley, Kentucky. She died at 8:45 P.M., Friday, May 8, 2009 in Louisville. Age: 89
She professed faith in Christ early in life and joined Earlyrsquo;s Chapel United Methodist Church prior to becoming a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was a retired school teacher having taught in the Friendship School and Taylor County School Systems. She also had been employed by the Taylor County Sheriffrsquo;s Office as a deputy sheriff.
She united in marriage to Robert ldquo;Bobrdquo; Henry Cowherd, Sr. December 13, 1940. He preceded her in death February 14, 1982.
She united in marriage to Paul John Phipps October 22, 2002. He preceded her in death February 7, 2006.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Roy Nelson Cowherd and wife, Lisa Simon of Hudson, New York and Lena McCubbin and husband, Robert of Columbus, Indiana; four grandchildren: Robert Henry Cowherd, III and Hans Erik Simon Cowherd of Hudson, New York, Kristen McCubbin Holden of Woodstock, Georgia and James Edwin McCubbin of Columbus, Ohio; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Dodson Graybeal of South Dakota and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Marshall Hines Cowherd June 17, 1982 and Henry Cowherd, Jr. November 5, 2004, and one brother, Douglas Graybeal.
