Ruth Gibson Ford of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Truman Colvin and Ella Edwards Colvin, was born November 24, 1908, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:35 P.M., Monday, March 30, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 100
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church for some ninety-four years, where she taught Sunday School for many years, was in the choir for fifty-four years and was head of the United Methodist Women for many years.
She united in marriage to Tommie S. Gibson, Sr. April 17, 1927. He preceded her in death March 19, 1947.
She united in marriage to Ray Ford November 16, 1951. He preceded her in death December 25, 1986.
She is survived by two daughters and one son: Betty Ella Zahler of Campbellsville, Patsy Shippee of Seymour, Indiana and Tommie S. Gibson, Jr. of North Fort Myers, Florida; twenty-four grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Romulus Gibson and Omer Gibson and one grandson, Allen Speer.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Washington Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Clarence Price. He preceded her in death October 14, 1955.
She later united in marriage to Ray Hughes. He preceded her in death May 2, 2006.
She later united in marriage to Frank Burchett and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons and four daughters: David Hughes and wife, Lisa, Billy Price and wife, Diane, Shirley Perkins and Linda Rooker and friend, Lindsey Thompson, of Campbellsville, Marvin Price and wife, Mary and Evelyn Dile and husband, Kenneth of Greensburg, and Kathy Willard of Indiana; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters: Willard Nelson, Charles Nelson and Jean Bell of Campbellsville, Woodrow Nelson of Columbia and Mary Whitlock of Raywick; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Coleman Price, two brothers and one sister, Howard Thomas Nelson, Omer Lee Nelson and Stella Underwood.

Johnny Burkhead of Campbellsville, son of the late Rubin Burkhead and Lydia Rhynearson Burkhead, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, March 3, 1937. He died at 2:30 P.M., Thursday, March 26, 2009, in Nashville.
Age: 72
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a farmer.
He was a member of the Bluegrass Horse Pulling Association.
He united in marriage to Barbara Loy January 17, 1961.
Besides his wife, Barbara Burkhead, he is survived by two sons and one daughter: John Robert Burkhead and Michelle, Janie Ann Chappel and Mark, and James Rubin Burkhead and Vanessa; two grandsons: David Wesley Chappel and Hunter James Burkhead all of Campbellsville; three sisters and five brothers: Jane Underwood of Lexington, Joy Bastin of Falmouth, Kentucky, Judy Rodgers, Jody Burkhead, and Jeneal Burkhead of Campbellsville, Jolly Burkhead and Jettiey Burkhead of Middletown, Ohio, and Jan Burkhead of Elkhorn; several other relatives and friends.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a clothing salesman for many years and retired from Walmart Corporation.
He united in marriage to Helen Redwine January 14, 1949. She preceded him in death March 29, 2004.
He united in marriage to Madeline Key Carrigan November 12, 2005. She preceded him in death September 14, 2006.
He is survived by three sons: Sam Brenner Jr. and Aaron Brenner of Campbellsville and John Brenner and his wife, Kathy of Eden, New York; eight grandchildren: Susan Kerr of Virginia, Tracy Brenner of Marathon Key, Florida, Sarah Brenner and Samuel David Brenner of Campbellsville and David Alexander Brenner, Lauren Brenner, Anna Brenner, and Emily Brenner of New York; three great-grandchildren: Brandon Kerr, Miranda Kerr, and Laura Kerr of Virginia; several other relatives and friends.
