David “Davis” Fisher,

David “Davis” Fisher, of Bradfordsville, the son of the late Herman and Elizabeth (Simpson) Fisher, was born February 15, 1948 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab. He was 75 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Arbuckle Baptist Church and was a farmer.

Davis, as he was mostly known by enjoyed his animals, fishing, hunting, digging ginseng, water skiing, playing checker and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include two sisters and three brothers: Mary Garrett and husband Buddy, Melvin Fisher and wife Malissa, Ethel Smothers and husband Charles, William Fisher and wife Julie and Daniel Fisher.

Also twelve nieces and nephews: Nancy Tungate, Curtis Garrett and wife Lisa, Amanda Tucker and husband Justin, Regina Young and husband Jason, Darlene House, Stephen Fisher and wife Shelia, Todd Smothers wife April, Timmy Fisher, Kevin Fisher and wife Megan, Jessica Cox, Austin Fisher and George Fisher and a host of great-nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Lonnie Joseph Fisher as an infant.

The funeral service for David “Davis” Fisher will be Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. in the Campbellsville chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Old Liberty Cemetery at Bradfordsville.

 Family requests visitation from 5-8 PM on Tuesday and after 8:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Charlie Caldwell, 59, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late “Blue Bo” Caldwell and Elizabeth Odele Wathen Caldwell was born August 23rd, 1964, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, and departed this life on Monday, September 11th, 2023 in Campbellsville, Ky.
Charlie was united in marriage to Ms. Marie Adele Spalding on March 18th, 1992. She survives. He loved fishing, turtling, and spending time outdoors.

Besides his wife, Charlie is survived by:
Three daughters: Tina Cruse and her significant other, Calvin, of Columbia; Shannon Bailey and her husband, Chris, of Indiana; Cathy Grubbs and her husband, Lenn, of Hodgenville
Five grandchildren: Ashlen Grubbs, Evan Grubbs, Raylee Grubbs, Jackie Tennyson, all of Hodgenville, and Taylor Cruse of Glasgow
Two great-grandchildren: Levi Tennyson and Paisley Tennyson of Hodgenville
Ten brothers and sisters: Marcella Brady of Calvary, Cecilia Smith of Bardstown, Connie Gaddie of Lebanon, Pam Ford of Campbellsville, Billy Caldwell of Calvary, Phyllis Beavers of Bardstown, Tim Caldwell of Lebanon, Danny Caldwell of Finley, Monica Caldwell of Calvary, and Jackie Caldwell of Bardstown

He was preceded in death by:
Two brothers and four sisters: Austin Caldwell, Jerry Caldwell, Brenda Caldwell, Karen Money, Brenda Kay Caldwell, and Linda Mae Caldwell

Judy Sullivan of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Eugene Wright and Evaline Shofner Wright, was born November 8, 1950 in Taylor County, Kentucky.   She died at 11:39 .A.M., Friday, September 8, 2023 in Campbellsville. Age: 72

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Zion Separate Baptist Church.

Judy was a retired teacher with the LaRue County School System.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marcy Pierce and husband, James of Nicholasville; two grandchildren: Audrey Pierce and Ellie Pierce; one sister and one brother: Carol Underwood and Gary Wright of Campbellsville; a nephew Jason Wright and wife Maranda of Campbellsville; a great niece and two great nephews: Hayden Wright, Jackson Wright and Mason Wright; one aunt, Brenda Montgomery of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.

Judy was also preceded in death by a nephew, Marcus Underwood.

Roland Johnson, 76, of Liberty, Kentucky, son of the late Hugie Johnson and Lou Ella Downs was born April 4th, 1947, in Liberty, Kentucky, and departed this life on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at Casey County Hospital in Liberty, Ky.
Roland was united in marriage to Ms. Mary Alice Henderson on June 14th, 1980. She survives. Roland loved the Lord and served as an assistant pastor at Full Gospel Deliverance Church. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

Besides his wife, Roland is survived by:
Five children: Janet Hilbert and her husband, Dennis, of Bardstown; Doug Dobson and his wife, Brenda, of Lebanon; Barry Dobson and his wife, Michelle, of Campbellsville; Ronnie Dobson and his wife, Becky, of Houstonville; and Sharon Hilbert and her husband, Mark, of Louisville

Jenetta Nell Davidson Parrish of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Albert Elmer Davidson and Martie Dabney Davidson, was born January 6, 1934 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 4:20 A.M., Thursday, September 7, 2023 in Campbellsville.      Age:  89

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First Methodist Church.

Jenetta was a retired instructor with Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville for over thirty-seven years.

She united in marriage to Lewis “Sie” Parrish July 3, 1953 and he preceded her in death March 5, 2017.

Jenetta enjoyed riding her four-wheeler and checking on her animals.  She loved the farm and lived there for eighty-nine years until her final illness.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Larry Gilpin of Campbellsville; two grandchildren:  Miranda Zottman and husband, Corey and Aaron Gilpin and wife, Meredith of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren:  John Zottman, Jack Zottman and Cora Ann Gilpin of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.

Zelma Lotter of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Huston Hoosier and Lottie Ellen Burress, was born August 9, 1943 in Adair County, Kentucky.  She died at 2:38 A.M., Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in Campbellsville.      Age:  80

She professed faith in Christ and attended Truth Tabernacle Pentecostal Church.

Zelma was a retired housekeeper for Dr. James R. Angel’s family for twenty-two years.

She united in marriage to Bobby E. Lotter May 12, 1962 and he preceded her in death January 15, 2011.

Zelma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by one daughter, Robin Boils of Campbellsville; two grandchildren:  Michael Boils and Brittany Benford and husband, Shawn of Greensburg; three great-grandchildren:  Harper Benford, Heidi Benford and Hayden Benford. A Sister-in-Law Mary Thompson, Brother and Sister-in-Law Harold and JoAnn Lotter, Sister-in-Law Betty Hoosier all of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Mikel Eugene Lotter in infancy on September 8, 1964 and five brothers and five sisters:  Bradley Hoosier, Jack Hoosier, Coakley Hoosier, Willie Hoosier, Elmer Hoosier, Onia Mae Abell, Wilma Karnes, Velma Bailey, Nellie Goode and Hettie McDonald and another sister in infancy.

Tiffany Michelle Martin, 34, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, daughter of Dennis Martin and Bobbie Kay Durham Holmes was born September 27th, 1988, in Lexington, Kentucky, and departed this life on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 in Lexington, Ky.

Tiffany professed faith in God and was baptized in Lexington, Ky. She attended school at West Jessamine in Nicholasville, Ky. She loved all people and animals, especially her bangle cat “Blu”. Tiffany was a very tender-hearted and loving lady who was always trying to make others happy. She was very talented in her own creations which she sold in small shops in the Lexington area and gave as gifts to family and friends. As the memories of her will always make our hearts smile, her big heart and smile will live on through Lilly Tucker and Alexis McPherson along with many others that her life touched in special ways.

Joey Bott of Campbellsville, son of David L. Bott and Chris Schiefer Bott, was born March 30, 1981 in Charlotte, North Carolina.  He died Monday, September 4, 2023 in Campbellsville.           Age:  42

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church

He was a partner with Bertram, Cox & Miller.

Joey was a person who loved life.  He loved to fish, hunt, spend time with his family and be outdoors.  He was known as a loving husband, father, and friend who loved big; loved hard and if you knew him, you loved him.

Joey united in marriage to Jackie Patterson May 19, 2007.

Besides his wife, Jackie Bott of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter:  Jacob Bott and Jenna Bott; one brother and one sister: Jon Bott and wife, Katie of Georgetown, and Jenny Combs and husband, Jarrod of Salvisa; his mother and father: David and Chris Bott; his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Jack and Patty Patterson; his brother-in-law, T.J. Patterson; and many other relatives and friends.

Betty Acree, 73

Mrs. Betty Jean Acree of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Columbus Gordon and Imogene (Wright) Boils, peacefully entered eternity on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at her home. She was surrounded by her family and friends. Born on May 14, 1950, Mrs. Acree was 73 years of age at the time of her passing. She was water baptized in Jesus’ name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of 16, and daily carried that joy with her for the remainder of her earthly time. Mrs. Acree had retired from the Taylor County School District as the cafeteria manager of Taylor County High School. She was also a former employee of Fruit of the Loom. Full of spiritual wisdom, she gladly and regularly passed Godly knowledge to all she came in contact with.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Two children: Tim Acree and wife Keshia of Bardstown, and Tracey Grady and husband Stephen of Campbellsville,

Six grandchildren: Seth Acree, Hannah Acree, Micah Acree, Luke Acree, Kadyn Grady, and Bailor Grady,

Nine siblings: Ralph and Dana Boils of Tennessee, Shirley and Tommy Lovins of Indiana, and Rueal and Louise Boils, Donnie and Carolyn Boils, Frank and Kay Boils, David and Ellen Boils, Danny and Lori Boils, and Gillis and Barbara Boils, all of Campbellsville, and Shelia Youmans of Georgia,

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Wayne Acree, a brother, Charlie Wayne Boils, and a brother-in-law, Charles Youmans.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Acree on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM EDT (10:00 AM CDT) in the sanctuary of the Truth Tabernacle UPCI, 4607 Old Lebanon Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Pastor Tim Acree will officiate. Interment will follow in the Jesus Name Church Cemetery, Tabernacle Rd, Campbellsville.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, September 8, from 5:00-8:00 PM EDT (4:00-7:00 PM CDT), and on Saturday after 9:00 AM EST until time for the service.

Melissa Dawn Karnes-Walls, 47, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of Judy Beckley Karnes and the late Clemmie Karnes was born June 4th, 1976, in Indianapolis, IN, and departed this life on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg after an extended illness.
She professed faith in Christ and was of Baptist faith. She was a mother hen to her many non-biological children and loved being a homemaker. Melissa enjoyed shopping and talking, she never met a stranger.

Two grandchildren: Ava Hoskins and Nova Hoskins, both of Campbellsville
