Joe Arnett Marsh, age 90 of Knifley, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2022 in Campbellsville, KY. Joe was born on May 21, 1932 in Salyersville, KY, to the late John Franklin Marsh and Lutie Arnett Marsh. He was a welder and a union worker. He enjoyed being outdoors, working as a mechanic and just a “jack of all trades”.
He is survived by two daughters: Laura Haber and husband Howard and Cindy Wills all of Ohio. Four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren also survive.
Besides his parents, He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Marsh, one son and one daughter: David Marsh and Tina Marsh, two sisters and four brothers.
The family has chosen cremation and all services will be private.

George Edward Eon, age 69 of Campbellsville passed away peacefully on December 7, 2022 in Lexington, KY. George was born on February 21, 1953, in La Grange, Texas, to Moses and Marjorie Eon. He graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Communications.
George began his career as a radio and news director in Texas before moving to Campbellsville in 1987, where he established his financial practice with Edward Jones. He went on to become a regional leader and general partner for Edward Jones and retired in 2009 after 22 years with the firm.
George was an avid sports fan, particularly of University of Kentucky and University of Texas basketball, and Dallas Cowboys football. He also loved to travel and did so extensively with his family and friends. He was known as a generous, loving, and supportive husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and community member and friend to all. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Campbellsville.
He is survived by his wife, Suzie, of 47 years; daughter Rachel Parish, son-in-law Shayne Parish, and grandchildren Jax, Katy, and Logan Parish; two brothers: Roy and his wife Susie Eon, and Jerry Kunetka; sister-in-law Pam Eon; three nephews and two nieces along with numerous friends and associates. He is preceded in death by his father, Moses Eon, mother, Marjorie Eon Kunetka, his stepfather, Jerry “Tot” Kunetka and brother Larry Eon.
The family has chosen cremation. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held after the new year. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation or a charity of your choice.

On the afternoon of December 4, 2022 Tonnie Ford passed away peacefully. He was being visited and comforted by family members at Taylor Regional Hospital at the time of his passing. Tonnie was 87 years old.
Tonnie was born on April 10, 1935 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Joe and Evelyn Ford
Tonnie was a graduate of Taylor County High School where he was a star basketball player.
He was a Navy veteran and served aboard the USS Hickox.
Tonnie graduated from radiology school in Ashville, NC.
In 1958, he married Vangie Gurganus Ford. They were married for 54 years prior to her passing.
Tonnie was the Director of Laboratory & Pathology at Taylor Regional Hospital where he retired in 1998. He later served on their Board of Directors from 2000 – 2009.
Tonnie professed faith in Jesus Christ and attended Campbellsville Baptist Church.
He was the president of the Sandy Y Social Club where he spent many hours hunting, camping and sharing tall tales and laughs with his friends.
Tonnie enjoyed daily visits to Druthers Restaurant where he and friends drank coffee and swapped stories, gossip, current events and political views.
Tonnie was preceded in death by his wife Vangie Ford and a sister Joan Mann.
Tonnie is survived by two sons: Van and wife Becky Ford, Todd and wife Kim Ford, and honorary son Kevin Dunn all of Campbellsville. He is also survived by four grandsons: Ben and wife Jordan Ford, Steve Ford and Leland Ford all of Campbellsville, Ryan and wife Emily Ford of Franklin. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Zachary Hall of Bedford, Devon Kiskadon, Marine Corps Camp Pendleton, CA, Desmond Ford, Zachary Patton, Hunter Ford, Ethan Ford and Elissa Ford all of Campbellsville, and four great great-grandchildren. He is survived by a brother, Henry Ford of Campbellsville and a host of nieces, nephews friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Campbellsville Baptist Church in Campbellsville, Kentucky on Thursday, December 8th, 2022 at 10 A.M. with Interment at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens at a later date.
A memorial visitation will be Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 at 5 – 8 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home
Memorials are requested to be made to the American Heart Association and can be made at the funeral home.

Velda Underwood Shofner Stevenson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Bradley Underwood and Jessie Sprowles Underwood, was born March 25, 1939 in the Attilla Community of Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 3:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in Greensburg. Age: 83
She professed faith in Christ early in life and was a dedicated Christian. Velda loved playing piano and singing, especially old time gospel music.
Velda was a retired family caregiver and farmer.
She united in marriage to Jimmy Shofner December 24, 1955 and he preceded her in death December 22, 1981. She later united in marriage to Howard Stevenson and he preceded her in death October 7, 2011.
Velda enjoyed quilting, gardening and working in her flower garden. Hobbies also included canning, freezing, driving the tractor and raking hay.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Vinessa and Jeff Johnson of Hodgenville; four grandchildren: Joshua Johnson and wife, Kelly of Knoxville, Tennessee, Justin Johnson and wife, Melissa of Vine Grove, Candace Tims of Louisville and Jessica Shofner of Hodgenville; seven great-grandchildren: Derrick Biven, Paige Tims, Dalton Tims, Hallie Johnson, Silas Johnson, Micah Johnson and Caden Brown; five brothers and one sister: Nolan Eugene Underwood and wife, Rita, Sheridan Underwood and wife, Nina, Henry Underwood and wife, Debbie, Donnie Underwood and Mary Ann Rice of Campbellsville and Deatrice Underwood and wife, Linda of Texas; a sister-in-law, Carol Underwood of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dwayne Shofner in 2008 and two brothers and one sister: Gradie Underwood, Cecil Underwood and Vivian Underwood.

Mr. Faubus Cox Switzer of Bardstown passed from this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at his home. Born in Jeffersontown on June 14, 1960 to the late Richard Mitchell and Mildred Lucille (Wilkins) Switzer, he was 62 years of age at the time of his passing. Mr. Switzer loved sci-fi movies and working with his hands, and enjoyed making speakers or tinkering on cars. He was a devoted husband and a cherished dad (that made the best omelettes), and very likely could be voted the worlds best grandpa.
He leaves to cherish his memory:

Eva Pauline Mardis Graves departed this life December 5, 2022. She was born September 2, 1934 to the late Owen Mardis and the late Ola Phillips Mardis. She united in marriage to the late Frank Ingram Graves on September 27, 1962.
She had put her faith in Jesus Christ and was a long time member of Friendship Baptist Church in the Bengal Community of Taylor County. She was very active with some of her activities over the years being a Sunday School teacher, Christmas Program leader, Women’s Missionary Union member, on the Hospitality Committee helping with church fellowship meals, coordinating Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes and preparing VBS refreshments that included her beloved Kool Aid slush many years.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers: James Mardis, Albert Mardis, William “Bill” Mardis and Norman Mardis.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Marsha and Allen Wood and Anne and Bill Sanders of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Kristi and Kenny Dillingham of New Mexico; two grandchildren: Jessica Honea of Bardstown, Kentucky and Jordan (Heather) Sanders of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; eight great-grandchildren: Scott Hall, Blaze Honea, Zach Honea, Noah Durham, Khynleigh Cobb, Arianna Sanders, Olivia Sanders and Camryn Sanders.

Mrs. Sharon Faye Pike of Elk Horn passed peacefully from this life on Friday, December 2, 2022 in Campbellsville after an extended illness. She was born in Knifley on December 18, 1953 to the late Shelby J. and Gracie (Perkins) Warren, and was 68 years of age at the time of her passing. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and later was a nursing home caregiver. Mrs. Pike a homemaker and the cherished wife of Mr. Kenneth Pike, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2014. She was of the Baptist faith.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
Four children: Latisha Markins of Fayetteville, NC, Beverly Bawkin and husband Patrick of Campbellsville, Alexis Pike of Franklin, IN, and Jacob Allen Pike of Elkhorn,
Two siblings: JoAnn Caldwell of Columbia, and Shelby Wayne Warren and wife Tammy of Campbellsville,
Six grandchildren: Brooke Smith and husband Jeffery, Austin Powell, Devin Brady and wife Madison, Haley Howell and husband Nathaniel, Madison Brady and companion Gavin Foster, and Patrick Bawkin, III,

She was also preceded in death by two siblings, Mary Frances Blessitt and Barbara Ann Perkins.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Pike on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Interment will follow in the Robinson Chapel Cemetery in Adair County.

Lowell Harris of Campbellsville, son of the late Thurman Brady “T.B.” Harris and Lela Frost Harris, was born January 19, 1934 in Parrish, Alabama. He died at 5:32 P.M., Thursday, December 1, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 88
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon.
Lowell was a retired English teacher with Cannelton High School in Indiana and was active in the Indiana Teachers Association.
He loved folk music and playing the guitar. He also jogged several miles every day and over the years, had jogged over 25,000 miles.
He united in marriage to Carolyn Hayes February 2, 1957.
Besides his wife, Carolyn Harris of Campbellsville, Lowell is survived by one son and one daughter: David Harris and wife, Tammy and Susan Howell and husband, Dwayne of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Patrick Howell and wife, Carolyn, Katelyn Howell and partner, Brenden Dwyer, Bradley Harris and wife, Keely, Brooklyn Harris Spaulding and husband, Malique, Murphy Lamb, Blair Lamb and Laura Lamb; two great-grandchildren: Braylon Ray Harris and Laiken Michael Harris; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Inez Hill and a brother, Lecil Harris.

Genevieve H. McKinley of Leitchfield, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Lewis Hansford and Ruby Garrison Hansford, was born April 25, 1928 in Casey County, Kentucky. She died at 12:19 P.M., Thursday, December 1, 2022 in Leitchfield.
Age: 94
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church, but had most recently been attending Leitchfield United Methodist Church.
Genevieve was a retired retail sales employee.
She united in marriage to George M. McKinley, Sr. and he preceded her in death September 12, 1999.
Genevieve loved children and Christmas. She was a very resilient person and generous giver, having raised her two sons as a single mom for several years. Her sons said “she was an expert with making do with what she had and could stretch a dollar farther than anyone they knew.”
Genevieve is survived by two sons: Jim McKinley and wife, Belinda of Leitchfield and Marshall McKinley and wife, Mary Jean of Mt. Washington; one step-son, George M. McKinley, Jr. and wife, Connie of Illinois; eight grandchildren: Teresa Parsons and husband, Rick, Becky McKinley and wife, Renotta, Ben McKinley and wife, Aura, Jamie McKinley, Sarah Thurman and husband, Matt, Michael Janton and wife, Celena, James McKinley and wife, Stephanie and Mashea Edwards and husband, Brian; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one great-great-great-grandchild; two sisters: Shirley Holt of Cox’s Creek and Faye Carol Close and husband, Russell of Tuscon, Arizona; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Jessica June Raikes of Greensburg, KY, formerly of the Mannsville community, daughter of the late James Albert Raikes and Sharon Elaine Stayton Raikes, was born September 9th, 1974 in Campbellsville, KY and departed this life Thursday, December 1st, 2022 in Greensburg, KY. She was the 48 years of age.
She was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed wrestling, country music, working puzzles, coloring and drawing.
Survivors include one brother: Bryan Raikes of Elk Horn, KY, and three nieces: Lexi Raikes of Louisville and Avery Raikes of Campbellsville, and special friends Martha Price and Sandra Justice
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents: Bendock and Maude Raikes and Red Stayton and Phyllis Warden, one niece: Chloe Raikes.
The funeral service for Jessica June Raikes will be Sunday, December 4th, at 1:00 P.M. in the Acton-Mannsville Chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Merrimac Cemetery with Bro. Mike Gribbins officiating.
