Helen Sharpe of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ras Manford Rainwater and Lillian Elizabeth Ford Rainwater, was born August 24, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:55 P.M., Sunday, February 12, 2023 in Campbellsville. Age: 92
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church but had most recently been attending Salem Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Cecil Sharpe May 26, 1951 and he preceded her in death October 5, 2013.
Helen loved being on the farm and cooking for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She never took a vacation, always putting family and the farm first.
She is survived by one daughter and one son: Diane Hunt and husband, Stewart of Campbellsville and Gary Wayne Sharpe and wife, Sharon of Lexington; four grandchildren: Brian Sharpe and wife, Leah of Versailles, Melissa Kleinsasser and huband, Kris of Greenville, South Carolina, Jessica Squires and husband, Billy of Greensburg and Jonathan Hunt and wife, Allison of Versailles; nine great-grandchildren: Norah Bennett Sharpe, McKenna Rae Kleinsasser, Madisyn Kae Kleinsasser, Meghan Elizabeth Squires, Katelynn Savannah Squires, Brinley Hope Squires, Olivia Grace Hunt, Graham Ellis Hunt and Claire Emerson Hunt; one brother and two sisters: Billy Rainwater and wife, Bernice, Barbara Skaggs and husband, Donald and Lula Mae Bell of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Ernest Rainwater, J. D. Rainwater, Gordon Rainwater, Kenneth Rainwater, Madeline Cave and Roselyn Sprowles.

Carol Ann Hernandez, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late George and Marie (Paladino) Schonmann, was born July 17, 1962 in Queens, New York and departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at her home. She was 60 years of age.
She was a former cook at the Creekside Restaurant in Campbellsville and enjoyed crafting.
Survivors include her children: Stephanie Wisniewski Guerrero and husband Juan, Elena Bellamy and Robert Hernandez and companion: Dana Hicks, all of Campbellsville.
Also surviving is a sister and brother: Georgette Diesso of Flordia and Gary Schonmann and wife Joyce of New York; twelve grandchildren: Domonique Wisniewski, Elisa Perez, Danny Figueroa, Jr., Robert Figueroa, Kyasia Hernandez, Taliyah Higgins, Jalin Dennis, Frank Bellamy III, Ziair Conner, Kailei Hernandez, Ava Fields and Keeli Raikes; great-grandchild: Zay’Eion; nieces: Nicole Souto, Kristy Souto and Michelle Diesso.
The family chose cremation
Final resting place will be in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Benjamin Forrest Hughes, of Campbellsville, the son Lena Gail Gribbins and the late Michael Glen Hughes was born November 3, 1988 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2023 in Campbellsville. He was 34 years of age.
He was of the Methodist Faith.

Jennifer Lynn “Jenny” Hoots, of Somerset, the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Betty Ruth (Griffith) Lindsay, was born May 25, 1977 in Oneida, Tennessee and passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 in Somerset at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was 45 years of age.
She was a certified nursing assistant and was of the Baptist faith.
She was a cat and dog lover, enjoyed fishing and drawing, her favorite artwork was bears.
Survivors include her husband: Jeff Hoots of Somerset; a son: Matthew Hunter Stewart of Tennessee; step-children: Cheyenne Hoots of Campbellsville and Chelsae Bohl and husband Daniel of Flemingsburg; a brother: Charlie Lindsay and wife Linda of Robbins, Tennessee; a sister: Shirley Edens and husband Ora “Pop” of Radcliff.
Also two step-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorial service for Jennifer “Jenny” Hoots will be Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.

Howard Durham of Campbellsville, son of the late Lee Durham and Frances Bailey Durham, was born March 20, 1930, in McLean County, Illinois. He died at 5:00 A.M., Monday, February 6, 2023 in Campbellsville. Age: 92
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church, where he was a founding deacon and a Sunday School teacher.
Howard served his country honorably in the United States Navy and was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. He loved his family and the Lord.
He united in marriage to Rachel Nelson July 4, 1953.
Besides his wife, Rachel Durham of Campbellsville, Howard is survived by one son and one daughter: Howard Durham, and wife, Carolyn of Campbellsville and Mazetta Harden and husband, Frank of Somerset; four grandchildren: Johnathon Durham and wife, Tesla and Amanda West and husband, Jeremy of Campbellsville, Chasidy Clements and husband, Charles of Bradfordsville and Nathaniel Harden and wife, Whitney of Somerset; ten great-grandchildren: Isabella Harden, Ava Harden, Adaline Harden, Anthony Clements, Nicholas Clements, Sierra Clements, Forrest Durham, Gavin West, Grant West and Elliot West; a sister, Judy Murphy of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Martha Burress and Betty Carol Hall.

Mrs. Patricia Ruth Friend Griffith of Elk Horn, formerly of Pikeville, KY was born in Pike County, KY on November 29, 1944 to the late Thurmond Bruce Friend and Ruth Bales Friend. She departed this life on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab, being 78 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Broadway Church of Christ. Mrs. Griffith was an employee in the banking industry. She enjoyed playing tennis, running a 10K race, puzzles, landscaping, and memorizing her Bible.
Survivors include one son and one daughter: Ray Goff of Louisville, KY and Cathy Falls and husband Matt of Merrimac, KY.
She also leaves to cherish her memory three grandchildren: Lydia Goff, McCayla Falls, and Hunter Falls and a host of other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Keith Griffith, three brothers: Bob Friend, Gary Friend and Bill Friend.
Visitation for Mrs. Patricia Ruth Friend Griffith will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville.

Raymond Murrell Ford, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Coakley and Flora (Lewis) Ford was born December 21, 1941 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in Greensburg at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 81 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church and a Veteran, having served in the United States Army National Guard.
He was a retired Lance Inc. delivery driver and installed replacement windows after his retirement, while enjoying smoking his pipe.
Survivors include his wife: Sharon K. (Bault) Ford; a son: Anthony Craig Ford and wife Dwanna Sue all of Campbellsville; two sisters and two brothers: Rosemary Mardis, Donald Ford and Leonard Ford all of Campbellsville and Deanie Price of Mt. Washington.
Also two grandchildren: Cody Mason Ford and wife Rachel and Tanner McCade Ford and wife Haley and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Mardell Benningfield.
A private graveside service will be held at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with interment to follow.

Mrs. Lorene Sprowles Price of Campbellsville was born in Taylor County, KY on February 24, 1930, to the late Jeff Thompson and Ona Martin Thompson. She departed this life on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at her residence, being 92 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church. Mrs. Price was retired from the Fruit of the Loom Company. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers, cooking, and her little dog Bella. She leaves to cherish her memory:
Two daughters and two sons: Janis Sprowles, Joyce Summers, Glenn Sprowles and wife Debbie, and Kenneth Sprowles and wife Connie all of Campbellsville.
Seven grandchildren: Marsha Rakes, Michelle Rakes, Heather Jaynes, Haley Sprowles, Shawn Sprowles and wife Cassie, Jeff Pyles and wife Jennifer, Joey Sprowles and wife Ramie. One Step-granddaughter: Carol Richerson and husband Bryan, fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
One sister: Connie Gardner of Summersville and a host of other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Jimmy Sprowles and Ricky Price, One brother: Delbert Thompson, and one grandson: Brian Sprowles.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
Leona was a retired secretary at Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She loved being a grandma and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by one daughter and one son: Lauren Gordon of Campbellsville and Ashley Crain of Oregon; four grandchildren: Clayton Gordon, Jessalyn Gordon, Lena Gordon and Coleman Gordon; three sisters: Helena Perry of Tennessee, Marietta Dennison and Regina Miller and husband, Merle of Indiana; former son-in-law, Johnny Gordon of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Phillip Edward Elliott, 90, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, was born March 31st, 1932, in Anthony, Kansas, to the late Louis C. Elliott and Etta M. Stites Elliott, and departed this life on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023, in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
Phillip professed his faith in Christ at an early age. He completed his education in Anthony, Kansas. Phillip served in the United States Army from 1953-1957, and then transferred to the Air Force and served from 1957-1977, as an electrical mechanic and missile trainer technician and then retired from the military. After retiring from the military, he worked as a maintenance technician for Anthony, Kansas.
He was a very talented person. He was a good carpenter and worked with woods making furniture and model trucks. He loved to hang out at Druthers’ talking to all his friends. His main job was being an “extraordinary grandpa.” He and his wife, Joan, moved to Campbellsville in 1998.
Phillip married the love of his life, Bethel Joan Dietz, on February 23rd, 1963, in Tucson, Arizona. She preceded him in death on January 4th, 2011.
Phillip is survived by:
One daughter: Terra Lackey of Campbellsville.
Two grandchildren: Stacey Florence and her husband, Joey, and Dylan Lackey and his wife, Susan, all of Campbellsville.
Nine great-grandchildren: Morgan Jewell-Austin and her husband, Taylor; Megan Jewell-Johns; Bryce Jewell and his wife, Cierria; Paisley Florence; Haley Lackey-Taylor and her husband, Coby; Kaitlyn Lackey; Jackson Lackey; Austin Herron; and Ali Herron, all of Campbellsville.
Seven great-great grandchildren.
Several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Besides his parents and wife, Phillip is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Charles Elliott, Norma Jean McKisseck, and Kathryn Herschberger.
He was also preceded in death by two sons-n-law: John M. Lackey and J. Craig Higgins.
