Mrs. Diane LaVine Hyde, of Campbellsville, was born in Chicago, IL on November 22, 1957 to the late Bernard LaVine and Barbara Caruso LaVine. She departed this life on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, being 78 years of age. Mrs. Hyde enjoyed reading, drawing and spending time with her grandchildren.
She united in marriage on November 29, 1975 to David Hyde who survives.
She is also survived by two children: David A. Hyde and wife Shannon of Campbellsville, KY and Jamie Urchak and husband Joe of Tennessee.
Two sisters and three brothers: Kathy Hammond, Jim LaVine, Teresa LaVine, Michael LaVine, and Steven LaVine.
Three Grandchildren also survive along with a host of other family and friends.
The family has chosen cremation and all services will be held privately.

Richard Chelf of Elk Horn, son of the late Elbert Burk Chelf and Lennie Stayton Chelf, was born May 3, 1935 in Adair County, Kentucky. He died at 12:27 A.M., Monday, January 16, 2023 in Louisville. Age: 87
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Feathersburg Church of God.
Richard was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. While serving, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Parashutist Badge and the Expert Infantry Badge.
He was a retired tool and dye employee with Parker Kalon in Campbellsville.
He enjoyed coon hunting, horse riding, traveling and collecting knives and especially loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Richard united in marriage to Shirley Burress September 22, 1960 and she preceded him in death October 3, 2018.
He is survived by one son and one daughter: Kenneth Chelf and wife, Tiffany of Elk Horn and Kathy Evans and husband, Jerry of Magnolia; four grandchildren: Casey Chelf and significant other, Emily Brewer, Ashley Chelf Nelson and husband, Joe and Zachary Chelf of Elk Horn and Stephen Evans and wife, Kayla of Magnolia; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Richard was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Evans; two brothers and three sisters: Herbert Chelf, Ralph Chelf, Louise Sumner, Joyce Weil and Jeanette Chelf.

Gail Shaw of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John A. Miller and Mary Brubaker Miller, was born August 17, 1937 in Ironton, Ohio. She died at 2:05 A.M., Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in Louisville. Age: 85
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church.
Gail was a retired schoolteacher with the Taylor County School System.
She united in marriage to Don Shaw June 3, 1956.
Besides her husband, Don Shaw of Campbellsville, Gail is survived by one son and one daughter: Mary Jo Hazel and husband, Nick of Campbellsville and David Shaw and wife, Sue of Lexington; seven grandchildren: Patrick Shaw of New York, Meredith Forssman and husband, Julius of Germany, Matthew Hazel and wife, Ashley, Justin Hazel and wife, Taylor and Carlie Hazel of Campbellsville, Jared Shaw and Tyler Shaw of Frankfort; two great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way; one brother, Bill Miller and wife, Jerri of Ohio; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Gail was also preceded in death by a son, Jeff Shaw in July, 2018.

Mr. Steven Charles Hupp passed peacefully from this life on Monday, January 10, 2023 at his residence in Elk Horn, KY. Born in Louisville, KY to the late Charles Frederick Hupp and Helen Veris Embry Hupp on October 5,1965, he was 57 years of age at the time of his death. He was a Shaman with the Aya Quest Native Americas Church specializing in spiritual and medicinal needs of the mind, body and spirit. Mr. Hupp served his country honorably in the United States Army and had served at the Berlin Wall. He loved spending time with family and friends, nature, and loved and believed in his ministry. He also loved his dogs Cybil and Zara.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Teri Leslie Hupp
Four sons and two daughters: Eric Hupp, Jason Hupp, Shay Hupp, Christopher Butts, Elizabeth Butts, and Nikolas Butts
One Sister: Vera Dempsey
Five Grandchildren: Jace, Ella, Saige, Aiden and Lyra
And a host of other relatives and friends.
The family has chosen cremation and a private service will be held at a later date.

Jennie Barnett of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Earl Myers and Mary Melba Wilson Myers, was born November 6, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 7:30 P.M., Monday, January 9, 2023 in Greensburg. Age: 90
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School for forty years.
She was a homemaker and retired seamstress.
Jennie enjoyed cooking and her family said she was a good cook.
She united in marriage to Leonard Barnett April 25, 1953 and he preceded her in death September 19, 2017.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Randy Barnett and wife, Kelly of Elizabethtown and Linda Humphress and husband, Mike of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Levi Barnett and Chelsey Gorham and husband, Bobby of Louisville, Austin Seaborne and wife, Sarah and Ashley Silas of Elizabethtown; two great-grandchildren: Madison Silas and Loralai Gorham; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Jennie was also preceded in death by three brothers: Johnnie “Bill” Myers, Charles Myers and Leroy Myers.

She united in marriage to Samuel Allen Garrison December 26, 1950 and he preceded her in death October 28, 2021.

Brenda Jo Helm, 80, of Elkhorn, Kentucky, daughter of the late Joe Helm and Jeffie Minor Helm was born February 9, 1942, in Taylor County and departed this life on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.
She professed her faith in Christ and attended Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by:
One Daughter: Donna Jean Redford of Elkhorn.
One Grandson: William Carr and wife, Rachel, of Elkhorn.
Two Great-Grandsons: Durden Carr and Augustus Carr of Elkhorn.

David Marshall Winn of Campbellsville, son of Marcia McGlocklin Winn and the late Charles Leroy Winn, was born August 6, 1966 in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 2:00 A.M., Friday, January 6, 2023 in Campbellsville. Age: 56
As a Christian, David had a warm heart and loving smile. He seldom met a stranger, and would often go out of his way to help anyone in need.
David was a flooring installer specializing in carpet and vinyl tile. He took great pride in his craft, and was often recommend by word of mouth because of his quality of work and endearing personality. His reputation in the industry was impeccable.
David is survived by his mother, Marcia Winn of Campbellsville; one brother, Steven Winn of Louisville; aunts and uncles: Mitzi Hay of Campbellsville, Pitts Winn of Lexington, and Ted Winn and wife, Mary Alice of Lawrenceburg; his fur baby, Windy; several cousins and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Tedd Winn Sr., and Helen Winn, and Marshall and Juanita McGlocklin; and two uncles: Philip Loy Hay and Jim Winn; one cousin, Philip Marshall Hay.

Austin Michael “Stretch” Lain of Campbellsville, was born April 15, 1999 in Plymouth, Indiana and departed this life on Thursday, January 5, 2023 in Radcliff. He was 23 years of age.
He was a manager at Walmart in Bardstown and was of the Christian Faith.
Austin enjoyed fishing, playing and watching basketball, online gaming and programming.
He is survived by his parents: Jerry and Robin (Creason) Lain of Buffalo; a son: Aiden Michael Lain, seven brothers and two sisters: Justin Lain, Jerry Lain III, Joshua Kendall, Joseph Kendall and Jonah Kendall, Nolan Stalbaum, Trevor Wilson Amber Clark and Carissa Morgan; his grandparents: Jerry and Mildred Lain and Norman and Diana Creason and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Victoria Clemans.
The funeral service for Austin Michael “Stretch” Lain will be Monday, January 9, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Delma Goodin Wise of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Glenn V. Goodin and Ollie Alice Roberts Goodin, was born January 17, 1929 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:05 A.M., Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in Campbellsville. Age: 93
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
Delma was a dedicated wife who enjoyed taking care of others before herself, especially her husband, Willard. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed traveling with Willard on many mission trips and spreading the gospel to others.
She united in marriage to Willard Wise October 16, 1945 and he preceded her in death September 11, 2022.
