BENTLEY BREWER OBITUARY

Our precious little angel, Bentley Brewer, beloved infant son of Andrew Brewer and Savannah Hoskins of Campbellsville, Kentucky, gained his wings and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 10th, 2022.  Bentley was born Sunday, July 10th, 2022, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

An angel wrote in the book of life sweet baby’s date of birth then whispered Bentley’s name softly as she closed the book, “Too beautiful for earth sweet child.”

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for expressions of sympathy be taken in the form of donations to the funeral expenses and can be made at the funeral home to honor a life gone to soon.

The service for Mr. Bentley Brewer will be held privately at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

Linda Marie Turcotte, 76

Linda Marie Turcotte, of the Allendale Community of Green County, KY, the daughter of the Thomas Reece and Sarah Estelle (Pigg) Futch, was born September 24, 1946 in the Panama Canal Zone of Central America and departed this life on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at her home. She was 76 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian Biblical Church of God Faith.

Linda worked many years in the healthcare field.

She enjoyed reading and after moving to Kentucky, she and her husband enjoyed being an extreme animal lover tending to their dogs, horses and cattle, but most of all spending time with family, especially her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband: Richard Turcotte; a son: Kyle Richard Turcotte and wife Brynn; a brother: Thomas Reece Futch; two grandchildren: Kylie Brynn and Brynna Grace Turcotte and her dog companions: Tony and Anna and many, many other friends around the world.

At the request of Linda, cremation rites were entrusted to the

L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

Jennifer Tinnell, 52

Ms. Jennifer Leigh Tinnell, 52, of Taylor County passed from this life on Friday, July 9, 2022 in Campbellsville. Born in Jefferson County on November 17, 1969, she was the daughter of the late David C. and Catherine L. (Bell) Tinnell. She was a graduate of Metcalfe County High School, and earned a Masters degree at Campbellsville University. She was the Instructor of Music at CU and a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

A brother: David C. Tinnell, Jr. and wife Joan of Campbellsville,

A nephew: Mitchell Tinnell of Campbellsville,

A great-niece: Annelyse Tinnell of Campbellsville,

Three uncles: Gary Bell and wife Bonita of Edmonton, Paul Tinnell and wife Kim of Louisville, and Albert Jarboe of Louisville,

Three cousins: Brandon Bell and wife Leann of Edmonton, Rodney Jarboe of Louisville, and Michael Jarboe and wife Andrea of Louisville,

And a host of extended family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Tinnell on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Campbellsville Baptist Church, 420 N Central Ave, Campbellsville, KY. Pastor Dwayne Norman will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, July 12, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

She will be laid to rest in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to Gideon Bibles. Those can be purchased in person at the funeral home or during visitation at the church.

George LaPradd, 81

George Copeland LaPradd of Campbellsville, the son of the late Calip and Martina (Austin) LaPradd, was born January 1, 1941 in St. Charles, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in Springfield. He was 81 years of age.

He was an oil and gas rig owner and operator and was of the Christian faith.

He loved horses, showing horses, motorcycles, boating and old cars.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters: JoAnn LaPradd and Deena Richerson; two brothers: J.C. Bean and Leonard Bean and three sisters: Joy Lee Bean, Sarah Alice LaPradd and Nannie Elizabeth LaPradd.

Survivors include his children: Sandra Benton and husband Kenny, Debra Wheeler and husband Steven and Cynthia Wheeler and husband Larry all of Campbellsville and Steve LaPradd and wife Jennifer of Munfordville; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her caregiver: Teresa Hill.

The visitation for George Copeland LaPradd will be Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 10:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. in the Campbellsville Chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Audrey Mae Reynolds Cowherd

Audrey Mae Reynolds Cowherd of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Billie Reynolds and Willie Ada Caulk Reynolds, was born April 3, 1928 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 12:06 P.M., Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Columbia.   Age:  94

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Charles Lee Cowherd November 24, 1944 and he preceded her in death August 13, 2013.

Audrey loved her family, from her children and grandchildren, to siblings and nieces and nephews.  She was married to her devoted husband of sixty-nine years, whom she adored.  She spoke often of her love for her parents and grandparents.  Audrey loved children and believed each one was a precious gift from God.  She loved having people around.  Her door was always open to family, friends and even their friends.    Audrey loved animals, especially dogs and cats and for a time, raised Maltese and Basenji dogs.  She had also been an antique dealer and proprietor of Audrey’s Antiques.  She modeled generosity, selflessness and loving one another all her life.  More than anything, she loved Jesus and taught her family about His love and grace and the power of praise and prayer.

Audrey is survived by two sons and one daughter: Charles Vernon Cowherd and wife, Carolyn and Eddie Cowherd and wife, Patsy of Campbellsville and Cora Renfro and husband, James of Columbia; eleven grandchildren:   Jessica Settles and husband, Jeremy, Bret Cowherd and wife, Chelse, Ceyley McIntosh and husband, James, Brian Cowherd and wife, Shondah and Anthony Cowherd and fiancee’, April Clements of Campbellsville, Aylette Cowherd and wife, Raylen, Ceeanna Smith and husband, Bob and Zoe Bagby and husband, Billy of Greensburg, Dwight Renfro and wife, Renee and Jaime Renfro of Columbia and Caitlyn Bradley and husband, Jason of Perryville; twenty great-grandchildren with more on the way;  two sisters:  Marcia Sue Colvin and husband, Leroy of Campbellsville and Betty Hall and husband, Max of Newington, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Reynolds and a brother-in-law, Ralph Hedgespeth of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Catherine Graham; a son, Wayne “Red” Cowherd; ten siblings: Elsie Gaddie and husband, Robert, Alvin Reynolds, Emma Milby and husband, Holman, S.L. Reynolds, Romey Reynolds, Sr. and wife, Phyllis, Tommie Lee Reynolds, Mary Ellen Hedgespeth, Barry Reynolds, Fletcher Reynolds, and Catherine Lee Reynolds.

Elizabeth “Sissy” Gumm, 60

Elizabeth Ann “Sissy” Gumm, of Campbellsville the daughter of the late Dallas Gumm and Lamond (Corley) Gumm Williams, was born August 10, 1961 in Louisville and departed this life on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 60 years of age.
She had made a profession faith in Christ and was a member of the Pitman Valley Baptist Church and was a former nanny.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Alford and Mattie Gumm; aunt and uncles: Haskel Gumm, Johnny Gumm and Imogene Harris and a cousin Donnie Lindsey.
Survivors include a brother: Jimmy Gumm and wife Donna of Shepherdsville; a niece: Amber Holland and husband Travis of Shepherdsville and her close friends: Vickie and Landon Thompson, Braelyn Underwood, Rylea Underwood and Raegan Wethington and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Elizabeth Ann “Sissy” Gumm will be Monday, July 11, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Campbellsville Chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Weldon Gunter

Weldon Gunter of Campbellsville, son of the late D. B. Rhodes and Susie Ellen Gunter, was born June 22, 1964 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died Saturday, July 2, 2022 in Campbellsville.    Age:  58

He professed faith in Christ and loved the Lord.

Weldon was a former employee of the City of Campbellsville after twenty years of service.

He loved walking and spending time with family and friends.  Everyone knew him and he was very well liked.

He is survived by five sisters:  Mary Truax of Campbellsville, Rosie Putoff of Indiana, Faye Mattingly and husband, Mitchell and Carolyn Hoeck and husband, Danny of Lebanon and Tammy Brady and husband, Jerry of St. Mary; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Weldon was also preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Perkins.

Jean Bell, 85

Jean Bell, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Charles T. and Laura (French) Nelson, was born April 30, 1937 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at her home. She was 85 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Washington Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Jean enjoyed being outdoors working on her flowers, going to the fruit market, watching birds and county fairs, but most of all, her children and grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Bell in 2007, six brothers and sisters: Elizabeth Burchett, Howard Thomas Nelson, Omer Lee Nelson, Charles Leonard Nelson, Woodrow Wilson Nelson, Willard Earl Nelson and Stella Nelson Underwood and a half-sister: Mary Nelson Whitlock.
Survivors include her children: Gary Bell, Tony Bell, Karen Clark and husband Timmy, Kim Hughes and husband Bobby and Ken Bell, all of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Gary Wayne Bell and wife Ashley, Brian Bell and fiancé Abby Campbell, Ashley Walker and husband Matthew, Madison Clark and Kassandra Hughes.
Also surviving are five great-grandchildren: Addison Bell, Gage Tucker, Braxton Tucker, Ryan walker and Luke Walker and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Jean Bell will be Friday, July 8, 2022 in the Campbellsville chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.

Kathryn Sullivan

Kathryn Sullivan of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Jimmie Hunt and Julia Caulk Hunt, born February 4, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 12:45 A.M., Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Campbellsville.   Age:  92

She professed faith and was a member of Mt. Washington Baptist Church.

Kathryn was a homemaker, having previously worked at Fruit of the Loom, but enjoyed being a farmer’s wife, gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.

She united in marriage to Clayton Sullivan December 21, 1946 and he preceded her in death July 24, 2012.

Kathryn is survived by one son and two daughters:  Ronnie Sullivan and wife, Gwynette, Wanda Miller and husband, Keith and Renee Osborne and husband, Harold of Campbellsville; six grandchildren:  Jason Miller and wife, Angie, Nicholas Miller, Chad Sullivan and wife, Carol, Farrah McLean and husband, John, and Hana Apple and husband, Jeremiah of Campbellsville and Jon Osborne of Memphis; eight great-grandchildren:  Molly Sullivan and Hunter Miller of Lexington, Gracie Miller, Clay McLean, Cole McLean, Carlee McLean and Bailey Apple, and Landon Apple of Campbellsville; one sister: Geneva Sullivan of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters: Clayton Hunt, Gene Hunt, Bennie Hunt, Walter Hunt, Johnny Preston Hunt, Effie Josephine Sullivan, and Burnetta Albertson.

Larry K. Warren

Larry K. Warren of Campbellsville, son of the late Paul Warren and Eula Burton Warren, was born September 4, 1952 in Adair County, Kentucky.  He died at 10:15 A.M., Friday, July 1, 2022 in Danville.   Age:  69

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Knifley Chapel Brethren in Christ.

Larry was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.  He loved music and was a self-taught musician.  At a very young age, he started playing the guitar and enjoyed playing gospel songs on the piano.  He later decided he wanted to play the fiddle, so he taught himself to do that as well.  Larry was also an excellent singer and loved to sing for the Lord.

He united in marriage to Brenda Dixon September 4, 1971.

Besides his wife, Brenda Warren of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Ginger Warren of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren;

Anna Coffey, Larin Coffey, Luke Warren and Max Warren; two brothers and two sisters:

Bill Warren, Dale Warren and Pauletta Tucker of Knifley and Lana Warren of Columbia; his mother-in-law, Nancy Dixon of Knifley; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Larry was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Warren Coffey May 4, 2008 and four brothers:  Elvy Lee Warren, Rollin Warren, Ernie Warren and Donnie Warren.
