Rachel Leigh Skaggs Ritchie, the daughter of Terry Lynn and Tammy (Barnes) Skaggs, was born March 13, 1988 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Monday, March 14, 2022 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 34 years of age.
She was a food server and enjoyed crafts, painting, dancing, singing and softball and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband: Wayne Ritchie of Campbellsville; her parents: Terry Lynn and Tammy Barnes Skaggs of Campbellsville; three children: Piper, Phoebe and Levi Ritchie all of Campbellsville; a brother: Josh Skaggs of Campbellsville; her grandmother: Helen Barnes of Elizabethtown.
Also surviving are her aunts and uncles; Gwendolyn Skaggs, Melvin Skaggs, April Ogle, Jamie Ogle, Michael Barnes, Kelly Barnes, Tyrone Barnes and Andrea Barnes and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Rachel Leigh Skaggs Ritchie will be conducted Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Bro. John Hall will be officiating.
Visitation from 5-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Phyllus Harrison, of Elk Horn, daughter of the late Joe Baker and Ruth Cheatham Baker, was born July 24, 1934 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She died at 7:35 P.M., Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 87
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church. She was a prayer warrior and loved unconditionally. Phyllus was a retired medical assistant.
She united in marriage to Sam Harrison February 6, 1954 and he preceded her in death March 21, 2014. Phyllus is survived by two daughters: Kathy Harden and husband, Ricky and Sheila Moore and husband, Robert of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Chad Wilson, Jamie Wright and husband, Tommy, Cory Harrison, Justin Harden and wife, Kendal, Chris Harrison and wife, Megan, Jessie Yates and husband, Austin and Sami Jo Hollingsworth and husband, Ben; thirteen great-grandchildren: Ava Harrison, Gavin Harrison, Ella Grace Harrison, Levi Harrison, Blayz Wright, Rhealin Wright, Saylor Wilson, Poppi Harden, Iris Harden, Lux Harden, Honey Harden, Vere Harden and Shepherd Hollingsworth; one brother, Amel Baker and wife, Carolyn of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Gene Douglas Harrison March 29, 2000.

Douglas Edward “Doug” Cox, the son of Dollie Jean (Gabbert) Cox and the late Kermit Cox, was born April 4, 1956 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Campbellsville at his home. He was 65 years of age,
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Campbellsville Separate Baptist Church.
Before becoming disabled, he was an employee of former Crabtree’s Firestone in Campbellsville.
Doug, which he was known mostly as enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time with his grandkids and family.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by three half-sisters: Patricia Lee, Linda Nunn and Wilma Sluder.
Survivors include his mother: Dollie Jean Cox of Campbellsville; a son and a daughter: Justin Edward Cox of Columbia and Rachael Mae Spurling of Mannsville.
Also a brother: Carl Michael Cox of Campbellsville; a sister: Kathy Jean Pelly and husband Terry of Knifley; a half-sister: Cassie Brady of Lebanon; two grandchildren: Emily Grace and Bonnie Sue Spurling and a host of nieces, nephews including Ethan Pelly and Amanda Celis and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Douglas Edward “Doug” Cox will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Landon Newton of Campbellsville, son of David Alan Newton and Angie Brewer Newton, was born July 5, 1992 in Hardin County, Kentucky. He died at 10:00A.M., Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 29
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Three Trees Church.
Landon was an employee of Lee’s Famous Recipe.
He was a kind-hearted, smart, talented man who enjoyed golfing, playing the guitar, and video games. He dearly loved his family and liked spending time with them.
Landon was compassionate toward the homeless and would give the shirt off his back to help others.
He is survived by the love of his life, Kelsey Feltner and was so looking forward to their marriage; his parents David Alan and Angie Newton; one sister, Sarah Hayes and husband, Drew, and was known as Uncle Lan to his two nieces: Anniston and Emerson Hayes all of Campbellsville; several aunts, uncles and cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Lorene Whitley of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Callahan and Lottie Herron Callahan, was born February 24, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:03 P.M., Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 91
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.
Lorene was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after forty-four years of service.
She united in marriage to Joseph “Joe” Whitley June 14, 1950 and he preceded her in death October 30, 1988.
She loved her children and family. She also enjoyed her flowers, watching game shows and listening to George Jones.
Lorene is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Kathy Whitley of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Brad Akridge and wife, Regina and Derrick Whitley and wife, Felicia of Campbellsville, Lisa Blandford and husband, Tommy of Lebanon and Andrea Wood and husband, Mark of Russellville; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Odel Callahan and wife, Charlotte of Campbellsville and Rudolf Callahan of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marla Gale Gilbert September 6, 2021; a son-in-law, Mel Gilbert January 25, 2018 and a brother, Tom Callahan.

Hunter Ray Benham gave us all four perfect months of his fantastic little life. The happiest baby there ever was, was born on November 12, 2021 and went to be with his Great Great KK on Tuesday March 8, 2022. Loved by so many in such a short time, but with us forever, and forever in our lives. Hunter loved looking at his fingers, watching TV, and his Mommy singing to him. He leaves to celebrate his beautiful life his super Mommy and Daddy, Gracie Miller and Ira Benham, his awesome older brothers, Asher Skaggs and Hayden Williams, best grandparents ever Krissy and Manuel Gutierrez, Jr, Amanda Benham, Chris Benham, and Michael Miller. He also has a team of favorite aunts and uncles, Logan Brown, Belle Brown, Laura Gutierrez, Manuel Gutierrez III, Gabe Gutierrez, Haley Benham, Maria Burress, Sierra Fleener, Madison Abren, Hailey Armstrong, and Brooklyn Maupin, and his hilarious cousins, Ellie, Liberty, Emmy, Addy, and Ashton. He also has wonderful Great Grandparents, Kim and Joe Pendleton, Donna Benham and Bill Miller. He will now watch over us with his Great Great grandparents, Carol and Bill McKinney, Great Great grandfathers, Billy Benham and Roscoe Hunt, and Great Grandmothers, Janice Miller and Peggy Gilbert. He had much more family in his life as well who all cared for him. Hunter loved his family so much and they love him even more. Eugene Mardis of Campbellsville, son of the late Lemuel Mardis and Mattie Farmer Mardis, was born October 29, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 12:55 A.M., Monday, March 7, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 85
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church.
Eugene was retired from Heating and Air Conditioning work and had worked for nine years at Campbellsville Indepemdent School System.
He took pride in keeping his yard looking good and loved visiting with his grandchildren.
He united in marriage to Nellie Wade June 9, 1956.
Besides his wife, Nellie Mardis of Campbellsville, Eugene is survived by one daughter and three sons: Charlene Becker and husband, Jeff of Burnett, Wisconsin, Gary Mardis and wife, Karen, Timmy Mardis and wife, Janet and David Mardis and wife, Gena of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren: Karen Swanson and husband, Travis, Sylvia Westra and husband, Joe, Sasha Jones and husband, Justin, Mason Mardis and wife, Erica, Justin Mardis and wife, Sara, Katie Firquin and husband, Jon, Aidan Mardis and Lily Mardis; ten great-grandchildren: Miranda Morse, Kaylee Morse, Alyssa Westra, Clayton Westra, Cohen Westra, Anniston Jones, Addleigh Mardis, Leighton Mardis, Addi Mardis and Max Mardis, one great-great granddaughter, Brooklyn Ball; one brother, Harold Mardis and wife, Euonia and one sister, Frances Lee of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Doris Kay Judd of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at her home. Born on July 27, 1947 in Green County to the late Will Andy and Gertrude Katherine (Vaughn) Druin, she was 74 years, 7 months, and 7 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Summersville Baptist Church. Mrs. Judd was a graduate of Campbellsville College, where she had earned an associate’s degree in business. She was a former seamstress, sold Avon products over 45 years, and was an account manager for US Airways. Mrs. Judd was a mother and grandmother first, though, always leading by example, whether it be how to love, how to pray, or when to play a prank – and she was usually the best at all three.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Three children: Rebecca Kaye Williams and husband Bob of Campbellsville, Terri Marie Loutfi of Campbellsville, and John Nicholas Hall and wife Leslie of Greensburg,
A sister: Marietta Jeffries of Bedford, Indiana,
A sister-in-law: Mildred Druin of Campbellsville,
Eight grandchildren: Laura Williams, Miranda Wiggins and husband Lane, Stephanie Shelton and husband Jerry, Michael Scott, Natalie Smith and husband Dwight, Abby Sarmiento, Nalan Atkinson, and Jasmine Oller,

Eleven great-grandchildren,

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Othel Nelson “Double Dry” Judd, and three siblings, Fredrick Vaughn, Silvia Cave, and Noel Barkley Druin.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Judd on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Green County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 10, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST (4:00-7:00 PM CST).

Josephine (Land) Colvin passed away on March 5, 2022, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She was 83 years of age.
Jo was born on February 2, 1939, in Casey County, the daughter of Tommie Land and Nellie (Noel) Land. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robbin C. Colvin, and brothers, Donald Land and Roger Land.
Jo is survived by her husband, who is the love of her life, Richard “Shorty” Colvin, daughter, Colleen (Steve) Hunt, grandson, Drew Hunt, granddaughter, Courtney (Clint) Vaughn, and great-grandson, Collin Vaughn, all of Campbellsville; sisters: Sharon Harne of Liberty and Sandy (Garry) Oney of Winchester; sisters-in-law, Shirley Land of Liberty and Anita Land of Campbellsville. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, whom she loved dearly and special friends: Bonnie Wilson, Dollie Cruse, Patricia Pierce and Cindy Cox.
Jo’s working career included Fruit of the Loom, Victor’s Department Store and J.C. Penney. She and Shorty loved vacationing in Hawaii, where they vacationed numerous times.
Jo attended the Noel’s Chapel First Church of God in Casey County, where she poured her heart and soul into working with the children’s church.

Carl “Possum” Harris, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Orvey Carl Harris, Jr and Betty (Keith) Harris, was born June 5, 1976 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 45 years of age.
He was an employee of Cox Interiors and was of the Baptist Faith.
Possum enjoyed fishing, hunting, and teaching others to hunt and fish; he loved coin collecting and spending time with his grandson and his dog Dottie Mae.
He is survived by his wife: Maranda (Miles) Harris; a daughter: Bethany Harris and companion Sean Mullins and a son: Dakota Harris all of Campbellsville.
Other survivors include a brother: James Harris and wife Stephanie of Lebanon; two sisters: Carla Garrett and husband Chris and Betsy Thompson and husband Doug of Mt. Sherman; a grandson: Kade Mullins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Carl “Possum” Harris will be Wednesday, March 9, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.
