Fatal Accident on Old Lebanon Road

(9-16-2011 9:28pm) 44 year old, James R Davis of Campbellsville was operating a 2001 Ford north on Old Lebanon Road when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the Minit Mart sign at the intersection of Old Lebanon Road and North Shore Drive. Davis was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Taylor County Coroner, Terry Dabney.

Agencies involved: Campbellsville Police Dept, Taylor County Sheriffs Dept, Campbellsville – Taylor EMS, Campbellsville Fire Dept, and the Taylor County Coronor.

Shively Price

Shively Price of Campbellsville, son of Lavoy Sprowles Price and the late Roland W. Price, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, January 31, 1951.    He
died at 6:15 A.M., Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in Campbellsville.  Age:  60

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church.

He was a life-long farmer.

He united in marriage to Gail Graham December 24, 1968.

Besides his wife, Gail Price, he is survived by one son and one daughter:  Darrin Price and wife, Nikki and Dana Young of
Campbellsville; five grandchildren:  Audrey Young, Sadie Young, Silas Young, Lanigan Price and Lainey Price; his mother, Lavoy Price of Campbellsville; two special uncles and three special
aunts:  Coleman Sprowles, Glevins Sprowles, Geneva Shofner and Alberta French of Campbellsville and Crystal
Sullivan of Louisville; several other relatives and many friends.

Ellen Leach

         Ellen Leach, age 90, of Lenoir City, Tennessee, formerly of Campbellsville, died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Baptist Health Care Center after an illness.

          She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John W. & Caroly Leach, Harold & Vickie Leach of Louisville, one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela & Gary Hartman of Lenoir City, Tennessee, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren,
two step grandchildren, two step-great-granchildren, five great great grandchildren.

                       Funeral services will be conducted  at 11AM, Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in Brookside Cemetery.

          Family request visitation 5-8 PM, Wednesday at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.

          In lieu of flowers family request expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Alzheimers Foundation.  These can be made at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.
