Gladys Katherine Mattingly

Gladys Katherine Mattingly of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Ben Mitchell Whitlock and Mary Agnes Nelson Whitlock was born January 6, 1938, in Marion County, KY, and departed this life on February 16, 2025, in Louisville. She was 87 years of age.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Mt. Washington Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, watching television and gospel music, helping her neighborhood children, her grandkids, flowers, and gardening. She also helped raise two of her grandchildren: James McNear and the late George McNear.

She united in marriage to Paul Francis McNear who preceded her in death in 1979, and she later united in marriage to Bill Mattingly, who also preceded her in death in 2014.

She is survived by four children: Trecia Buckman (David) of Raywick, Buddy McNear (Gayle) of Campbellsville, Nancy McNear of Somerset, Jolene Bentley and Companion Bo Truax of Campbellsville, and one step-son, Billy Mattingly (Janice) of Campbellsville. 18 grandchildren including Kathy Quintana who was her caregiver for five years, 44 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren, and several great-great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are six siblings: Minnie Pearl McCauley of Lebanon, Aileen Stovall of Shepherdsville, Rusty Whitlock (Carolyn) of Campbellsville, Connie Smith (Donnie) of Mt. Sherman, Roger Whitlock of Raywick, Sarah Buckman of Raywick, and a sister-in-law, Betty Whitlock of St. Francis.

Besides her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nadine Johnson, seven daughters in infancy, one grandson, George McNear, and five siblings: Donnie Whitlock, Larry Whitlock, Ike Whitlock, Ralph Whitlock, and Ruby Lamkin.

The Funeral Service for Gladys Katherine Mattingly will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.

Bro. Jeff Edwards will officiate.

The family has requested visitation on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 5 – 8 P.M. and again on Monday evening, February 24, 2025, from 5 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Beverly Fischbach

Beverly Fischbach, 69, of Campbellsville, daughter of Mildred Cook and the late Raymond Cook was born February 3rd, 1956 in Iowa. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 19th, 2025 at her home in Campbellsville.
Beverly was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. Beverly professed faith in Christ and was a Christian.

Besides her mother, Beverly is survived by:
Her daughter, Christina Ann Fischbach of Campbellsville
Two granddaughters: Ava Grace Fischbach and Lily Ann Fischbach, both of Campbellsville
Three sisters: Barbara Hudson of Campbellsville; Becky Smock of Campbellsville; and Belinda Pennington of Texas
Several nieces and nephews
A host of other family and friends

Beverly was preceded in death by:
Two brothers: Bobby Cook and Billy Cook

FUNERAL: To honor Ms. Fischbach’s wishes, cremation was chosen. There will be no public services at this time. Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville is in charge of arrangements.

Judy Carol Brockman

Judy Carol Brockman of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Linus Alvin Bright and Avis Eva England Bright, was born February 21, 1941 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 12:47 P.M., Sunday, February 16, 2025 in Campbellsville.   Age: 83

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Broadway Church of Christ.

Judy was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Campbellsville Apparel in Campbellsville.

Judy united in marriage to Quinton Brockman December 24, 1959 and he preceded her in death May 20, 2016.

She is survived by four sons:  Doug Brockman and wife, Sherry, Danny Brockman, David Brockman and Dr. Donnie Brockman of Campbellsville; eleven grandchildren:  Lauren Rudder of Jacksonville, Florida, Lyndsey Poynter and husband, DeAngelo of Bardstown, Natalie Brockman and Candace L. Tungate and husband, Josh of Campbellsville, Hannah Bauer and husband, Elijah of Louisville, Cherith Brockman, Katie Johnston and husband, Ben, Tyler Edrington and wife, Kimberly, John Daniel Brockman, Andrew Brockman and wife, Angel and Alex Brockman, of Campbellsville; thirteen great-grandchildren:  Kyrie Poynter, Kynlie Johnston, Bently Brockman, Owen Brockman, Campbell Johnston, Marielle Poynter, Kingston Jelks, Davi Tungate, Seeley Edrington, Kira Brockman, Deacon Bauer, Eliana Bauer and Magdalene Bauer; two brothers and three sisters:  Willard Bright, Alvin Bright, Christine Greer, Margaret Burress and Patricia Gray, of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters:  Fay Burton, Jean Wilson, Rita Moore and Lorene Brockman.
