Mr. William Jackson “Chubby” Hitch, born Sept 26, 1933, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents: Samuel and Etta (Clark) Hitch; a son: Wendell Hitch; a daughter: Kathy Hitch; two grandchildren: Bradley Asberry and William Rouse; three step-children: Edward Shearer, Gwendalynn “Nunu” Morris, and Rhonda Skaggs; a step-grandchild: Nicole Skaggs; three siblings: an infant brother, Bernice Harvey (Austin), and Eugene Hitch (Martha); and his wife: Gwenda Hitch.
He is survived by five children: Lisa Allen, Ricky Hitch (Susan), Melissa Rodgers, Virginia Pennington (Clyde), and Tracy Hitch; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a stepdaughter: Judy Walden; as well as many friends.
He made a career of truck driving, often telling his children and grandchildren stories of the road. He fished Green River, making his own homemade bait, and often bringing along his grandchildren. He loved Red Man chewing tobacco, whittling, Westerns, Andy Griffith, Leave it to Beaver, and aggravating his son Wendell. You could often find him spending time outside talking to his neighbors with his little dog in his lap.
His final days were spent surrounded by his children and grandchildren as they shared stories about his life.
There will be a funeral service to honor Chubby’s life on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville. Bro. Richard Carroll will officiate. He will be laid to rest in Mt. Carmel Methodist Church Cemetery in Adair County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Thelma Jean Parrott Allen of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Elijah Parrott and Rhoda Ann Allen Parrott, was born July 3, 1944 in Shelby County, Indiana. She died at 11:35 P.M., Wednesday, November 6, 2024 in Louisville. Age: 80
Thelma was a former employee of Fruit of The Loom, Wilbert Plastics and Amazon before retiring.
She united in marriage to Bobby Ray Allen November 19,1966 and he preceded her in death May 21, 2019.
Thelma is survived by one brother, Leroy Parrott of Lebanon and a special friend and neighbor, Roy Skaggs of Campbellsville.
She was also preceded in death by a brother Stephen Lee Parrott, November 13,1987.

Randy Cox, 60, of Campbellsville, son of the late Lewis Muriel Cox and Martha Sue Sidebottom Sallee was born July 19th, 1964 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Thursday, November 7th, 2024 at Taylor Regional Hospital.
Randy united in marriage to Mr. Justin Grant on October 17th, 2020. He survives.
Randy enjoyed clogging and was a part of the Green River Cloggers. He loved music and loved life. He was a former employee of Amazon and Murakami. Randy professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
Besides his husband, Randy is survived by:
His fur babies: Buddy, Sadie, and Bella
Three sisters: Tammie Creason and her husband, Jessie, of Campbellsville; Genesia Hodgens and her husband, Timmy, of Campbellsville; and Melissa Guerrieri and her husband, Joseph, of Louisville
His sister-in-law, Brittany McClister of Campbellsville
Several nieces and nephews

VISITATION: Sunday, November 10th, 2024 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
FUNERAL: Monday, November 11th, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Karen Overstreet will be officiating.
PALLBEARERS: Brandon Moss, Curtis Moss, Renee Lawless, Malique Spaulding, Jessie Creason, and Timmy Hodgens
