David Eugene “Sonny” Colvin

David Eugene “Sonny” Colvin of Shepherdsville, formerly of Campbellsville, son of Mary Aileen Melton Colvin and the late Kenneth Colvin, was born September 27, 1947 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at12:31P.M., Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Louisville. Age: 73
He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a retired machinist specialist at C Lee Cook.
Sonny was a loving father and grandfather who always made sure his family was taken care of. He was also a Mason and was able to participate with his father and son in Masonic activities.
His favorite hobby was restoring cars and attending car shows. He made many good friends through his involvement with the cars.
Sonny is survived by one daughter and two sons: Michelle Milby and husband, Dennis of Summersville, Allen Colvin and wife, Jennifer of Hart County and Michael Colvin and wife Brandy of Louisville; six grandchildren: Dustin Milby, Michael Aaron Colvin, Meredith Anne Colvin, Casey Rena Colvin, Addison Grace Colvin and Scarlett Elizabeth Colvin; his mother, Mary Aileen Melton Colvin of Campbellsville; two sisters: Joyce Ann Colvin and Paula Hunt of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
VISITATION: 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday following social distancing guidelines and
masks are required. According to Public Health Guidelines food is not allowed in
during public visitation.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 1, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Kelvin Edwards
BURIAL: Brookside Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard

Patricia Sue Rodgers

Ms. Patricia Sue Rodgers, 76, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Dell and Lillian Witt was born in Virginia on December 25th, 1944, and departed this life peacefully on Friday, February 25th, 2021, at her home in Campbellsville, after an extended illness.

Ms. Rodgers professed her faith in Christ and was of Catholic faith.  Patricia was retired from Ingersoll Rand of Campbellsville after working in payroll for twenty-six years.

She leaves to cherish her memory is one son:  James “Jim” Michael Rodgers of Campbellsville.

Survived by one sister:  Jewell Cain of Dayton, Ohio.

Besides her parents, Ms. Rodgers is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters:  Kenny Witt, Racheal Shultz, and Rose Devour.

Cremation was chosen by the family.  Auberry Funeral Home and Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.

Obituary

Mrs. Lurah Jane (Shouse) Clark, 80, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Earldon and Ruth Morris Shouse, was born in Anderson County, Kentucky, on May 27th, 1940, and departed this life peacefully on Thursday, February 25th, 2021, at her home in Campbellsville as a result of a stroke.

She united in marriage to David A. Clark on December 9th, 1958, who survives.

Mrs. Clark professed her faith in Christ and was a Christian.  She was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church for 60 years.  She worked 45 years in retail at Parks Belk in the children’s department, Gibson’s, and Mary Ann’s Hallmark.  She enjoyed her cats and dogs.  She loved her church and church family and had a compassion for meal preparation at Woodlawn Christian Church.

Mrs. Clark leaves to cherish her memory is her husband, David A. Clark and one son, Jeffery Clark.

Five grandsons:  Michael Clark, Chris Clark, Cody Clark, Justin Clark, all of Campbellsville, and Jeramiah Moore of Lebanon.

Eleven great-grandchildren.

Two brothers:  Bro. Kenneth Shouse and wife Verlie of Taylorsville and Bill Shouse and wife Alma of Lawrenceburg.

One brother-in-law and sister-in-law:  Ken and Hila Sharp of Nicholasville.

A host of nieces, nephews, and other family and relatives.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law:  Charles Shouse and wife Vernida of Lawrenceburg and one infant great-grandson, Bentley Clark.

A walk-through visitation will be held Sunday, February 28th, 2021, from 5pm-8pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

Visitation will continue Monday, March 1st, 2021, from 9am EST at Woodlawn Christian Church till the time of the funeral.  Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1st, 2021, at 11am EST at the Woodlawn Christian Church located at 831 W. Main in Campbellsville.  Bro. Fella Wilson will be officiating the service.  Burial to follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers:  Elders and Deacons of Woodlawn Christian Church.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

Social distancing guidelines and mask are required upon entering building.
