Commie Edith Underwood Caulk

Commie Edith Underwood Caulk of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Bennie Underwood and Elsie A. Underwood, was born April 5, 1941 in Taylor County, Kentucky.   She died at 1:24 P.M., Thursday, October 29, 2020 in Campbellsville.   Age:  79

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Union Separate Baptist Church.

Commie was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She enjoyed her children, life and working in her flowers.

Commie united in marriage to James Scott and he preceded her in death on September 3, 1967.  She later united in marriage to Bobby Caulk in 1969.

Besides her husband, Bobby Caulk of Campbellsville, she is survived by one son and two daughters:  Robbie Brian Caulk and Becky Wood and husband, Bobby of Campbellsville and Tracy Caulk and special friend, Vickie Stewart of Louisville; five grandchildren:  Cory Wood and wife, Trista, Adam Wood and wife, Holly, Robbie Lee Caulk, Jake Caulk and Chris Caulk and wife, Kelly of Campbellsville; eight great-grandchildren:  Jacy Lynn Caulk, Bristol Faith McDonald, Riley Wayne Callahan, Graci Wood, Landon Wood, Baylor Wood, Kyndall Wood and Rhilynn Wood; one great-great-grandson, Lux Atwood; one brother, Garland Underwood of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Commie was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Scott July 15, 2016 and three brothers and three sisters:  Franklin Heistand Underwood, Jack Underwood, Joe Underwood, Essie Vance, Mona Brewer and Lovie Brewer.

Jerry Sapp, 81

 Mr. Jerry Sapp of Finley, son of the late Herbert L. and Naomi (Benningfield) Sapp, was surrounded by his family when he passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his home. Born on September 17, 1939, he was 81 years, 1 month, and 11 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. Mr. Sapp was a rural letter carrier and served the people and businesses of Taylor and Marion Counties over 45 years. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt (especially squirrels), and was passionate about leaving nature better than he found it. The solidity of his genuine heart and honest spirit is evidenced in those he leaves behind.
He leaves to carry his legacy:
   His wife: Laverne (Mills) Sapp of Finley,
   Four children: Nolan Sapp and wife June of Florida, Mickey Sapp and wife Michelle of Campbellsville, Mark Sapp and wife Misti of Campbellsville, and Dr. Felicia Sapp and husband Barry Beach of California,
   Two siblings: Freddy Sapp and wife Margaret of London, and Sondra Vick and husband Scott of Marion County, 
   Ten grandchildren: Darrell, Christopher, Daley, Mason, Alexandra, Brittany, Kristi, Shelbi, Shayli, and Jackson,
   Five great-grandchildren,
   And a host of other family and friends.
   He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Joanna Sapp; and nine siblings: Aileen, Glendale, Keith, Donald, Francis, Phillip, Nancy, Roger, and Junior.
   There will be a private funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Sapp on Monday, November 2, 2020 with interment to follow in the Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church Cemetery.
   In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations of St Jude’s Research Hospital or the Nature Conservancy of Kentucky. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.

Lois Carroll

Mrs. Lois Lorene Carroll, 89, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late John Clinton Williams and Celia Osborne Williams was born November 9th, 1930 in Shady Valley, Tennessee. She departed this life Sunday October 25th, 2020 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville First Church of God. She was a former employee of 38 years at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to her husband Granville Carroll March 3rd, 1951. He preceded her in death on April 13th, 1993.

She is survived by one sister: Polly Morris and husband Bobby and one brother-in-law, Buddy Stayton all of Campbellsville

She was preceded in death by one daughter; Linda Diane Douglas, two brothers and four sisters: Millard Williams, Odell Williams, Gladys Stayton, Eula Wheatcroft. Doris Lewis, and Hester McDaniels

Several nieces and nephews survive along with a host of other friends.

A walkthrough visitation will be held 5pm – 8pm EST, Thursday, October 29th at Auberry Funeral Home and Cremation Services in downtown Campbellsville.

Funeral service will be 1pm EST, Friday October 30th, 2020 at Auberry Funeral Home and Cremation Services in downtown Campbellsville with burial to follow in Eastridge Cemetery.

Social distancing guidelines and mask are required upon entering building.
