Lula Mae Cave

Lula Mae Cave of Campbellsville, daughter of the late George Richard Phillips and Louise Brown Phillips, was born May 4, 1938 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She passed on to her eternal heavenly home at 8:05 A.M., Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Lexington following a short illness. She was 81.
She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Lula Mae taught children’s and adult Sunday School Classes and Vacation Bible School for over forty years. She was also active in WMU and other adult ministries. She retired from Campbellsville Independent Schools where she touched many more children’s lives as a teacher’s aide. Lula Mae was a devoted mother. She put her own educational pursuits on hold until both sons had completed their undergraduate degrees, at which point she continued her education and proudly earned a bachelor’s degree from Campbellsville University.
Lula Mae united in marriage to Albert Lynwood “Sonny” Cave on August 19, 1956. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2012.
She is survived by two sons: Stan Cave and wife, Carol of Nicholasville, and Phillip Cave and wife, Krista of Lexington; five grandchildren: Meredith Cave Moran and husband, Corey of Lexington, Callen Marie Farr and husband, Houston of Kettering, Ohio, Luke Weston Cave, Anna Noelle Cave, and Joshua Bennett Cave of Lexington; one brother and one sister: George McGee Phillips and wife, Phyllis and Mary Lynn Benz; a sister-in-law, Pat Phillips Rogers, all of Campbellsville; a sister-in-law, Vicki Cave Mullins of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Lula Mae was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Brown Phillips.

Matt Burress

Matt Burress of Elk Horn, son of Toni Miller Burress and the late Rodney Burress, was born January 10, 1990 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:38 A.M., Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in Elk Horn. Age: 29
He professed faith in Christ and attended of Feathersburg Church of God.
He was an employee of Murakami Manufacturing in Campbellsville.
Matt was an avid hunter, enjoyed farming with his father and brother and was a UK Wildcat fan. His children meant the world to him and he was very proud of them, as both their father and their coach.
Matt married the love of his life, Megan Parrish, on September 8, 2018.
Besides his wife, Megan Burress, he is survived by two sons and one daughter: Andrew Blake Burress, Mason Alexander Burress and Adalynn Grace Burress; his mother, Toni Burress; one brother, Adam Burress and wife, Amanda; one nephew, Peyton Lee Burress, all of Elk Horn; his maternal grandmother, Rose Miller of Liberty; his paternal grandparents, Bobby Lee and Dorothy Jean Burress of Elk Horn; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Chris and Regina Parrish of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law, Matt Parrish and wife, Salena; one niece, Keylee Parrish, all of Campbellsville; aunts and uncles: Tommy Miller of Liberty, Debbie Miller of Shelbyville and Allen and Kecia Burress of Elk Horn and many other relatives and friends.
Matt was also preceded in death by a daughter, Maitlynn Leigh Burress February 21, 2012.

Mary Money

Mrs. Mary Dolores Morris Money, of Campbellsville, was born on October 10, 1933, to the late Rollin Morris and Clara Neat Morris in Middletown, Ohio, and departed this life on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at the age of 86.
Mrs. Money professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Alton Eugene “Gene” Money on June 23, 1951, who survives.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son and three daughters: Gary E. Money of Campbellsville; Vicki L. Money and her husband, Bill Guffy, of Campbellsville; Carolyn Jo Bertram and her husband, George Barry “Chip” Bertram Jr., of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and Mary Gina Money of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She is also survived by five precious grandchildren: Lori McGlocklin of Reading, Pennsylvania; Brooke Money DuBois of Ft. Collins, Colorado; George Ryan Bertram of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Bethany Money Wooley of Campbellsville; and Tristan Depew of New York, New York. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Nolan Bertram of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Ava and Stella Wooley of Campbellsville; and Taylor DuBois of Ft. Collins, Colorado. She has three brothers: George Morris and wife, Pat, of Campbellsville, Bobby Morris and wife, Polly, of Campbellsville, and Orbia Morris and wife, Nancy, of Louisville.
She was a passionate homemaker and delighted in taking care of her family. As a devoted wife and mother she loved doting on her “Genie Boy” and children, and her warmhearted nature made her a tender and sweet “Mema” to each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Mary Dolores Money will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Auberry – Gupton & Chandler Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Dr. Dwayne Norman officiating.
Visitation is requested from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Gideon Bibles.
