James “Red” White, 76

Mr. James Darrell “Red” White of Campbellsville passed from this life on Tuesday, October 21, 2019 at his home after a lengthy illness. Born on October 20, 1943 to the late William Howard and Ann Louise (Knopp) White, he was 76 years and 2 days of age. He was a veteran and had served his country honorably in the United States Army. Mr White earned his living as a painter and drywaller, but his true passion lay in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and trapper, and a great friend to many people.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

One daughter: Gidget Milby Stubbs of Campbellsville,

Four siblings: Jeanette Parrott, Wanda Franklin, Bobby Howard “Pete” White, and Ronnie White, all of Campbellsville,

Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Red White on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Steve Orr will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded him by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 24, after 8:00 AM until time for the service.

Kathy Jo Lane, 55

Mrs. Kathy Jo Lane of Campbellsville passed from this life on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Danville at the Ephriam McDowell Medical Center after an extended illness. Born May 28, 1964, she was 55 years, 4 months, and 19 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Her natural love for people served her well as an employee of Walmart and Medco. She loved to laugh and have fun, and could give as well as take, a good joke. Her hardworking and loving heart will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Dorothy (Philpot) Pike.
Besides her husband, Rodger Lane, she is survived by:
One daughter: Amber Nicole Lane of Campbellsville,
Five siblings: Patricia Ann Richards of Campbellsville, and William Sipes and wife Lola, Kerry Sipes and wife Gayle, and Tommy Wheeler, all of Marion County, and Cindy Bertasavage and husband Jeff of Tennessee,
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and close friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Lane on Monday, October 21, 2019, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 21, from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

James Gary Dooley

James Gary Dooley of Campbellsville, son of Dorothy Price Dooley Chappel of Campbellsville and the late James “Jim” Dooley, was born April 18, 1958 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 61
He professed faith in Christ earlier in life and last attended Elkhorn United Methodist Church.
Gary served his country honorably in Kentucky National Guard.
He was an employee of Kroger Company.
Gary was a volunteer firefighter with the Campbellsville/Taylor County Fire Department from 1978 – 1984 and enjoyed camping and fishing and was a loving father and grandfather.
He united in marriage to Tracy Wheeler May 29, 1992.
Besides his wife, Tracy Wheeler Dooley of Campbellsville, he is survived by three sons and two daughters: Joey Dooley and significant other, Molly Sheene of Casey County, Rita Jones and husband, Nick of Columbia, Samantha Dooley, Andy Dooley and Patrick Dooley of Elkhorn; three grandchildren: Katie Jones and Hannah Jones of Columbia and James Dooley of Casey County; his mother, Dorothy Dooley Chappel; one brother and one sister: Ronnie Dooley and wife, Donna and Kay Agee and husband, Paul of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
