Rev. Ben Spencer of Campbellsville, son of the late James Spencer and Myrtle Burnett Spencer, was born January 13, 1927 in Wolfe County, Kentucky. He died at 12:00 P.M., Thursday, October 10, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 92
He was a faithful servant of Christ and devoted minister for over sixty-three years. He, along with others built the East Campbellsville Church of God and its campground. He was the pastor at East Campbellsville Church of God for forty plus years and was pastor emeritus. He was involved in mission work in Haiti and Jamaica and raised money for the Fe India Children’s Mission. He was an evangelist and had a radio ministry for twenty-five years. He was a talented musician, songwriter, writing many soul winning songs and wood craftsman.
He loved his family and his church family. He, without a doubt led hundreds if not thousands to Christ. Only heaven will show the impact of his life and ministry.
Bro. Spencer was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army and United States Air Force and received the World War II Victory Ribbon and the Army Occupational Medal.
He united in marriage to Shirley Saunders April 19, 1956.
Besides his wife, Shirley Spencer of Campbellsville, he is survived by three sons and five daughters: Marty Spencer and wife, Dana, Brian Spencer and wife, Michelle and Tonya Hagan and husband, Greg of Campbellsville, Djuana Nolley and husband, Greg of Elk Horn, Dwayne Spencer and wife, Tammy of Cookeville, Tennessee, Lori Perez and husband, Ramiro of Elizabethton, Tennessee, Rhonda Nunez and husband, Luis of Homestead, Florida and Barbara Jean Swenson and husband, Pete of Lebanon, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Denise Spencer of Campbellsville; thirty-seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Viola Little of Wolfe County, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends, including his family at East Campbellsville Church of God.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Bro. Robbie Spencer and Stephen Spencer; a grandson, Dalin Spencer and several brothers and sisters.

Kara Joyce Freeman, precious baby girl of Phillip and Katherine Freeman of Campbellsville, was born into the arms of angels on October 9, 2019 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. Born at 37 weeks, she weighed 5 lb 10 oz and was 18 inches long. Although Kara Joyce never spent any time with us on Earth, she was very loved and touched many lives.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother: Jason Liam Freeman of Campbellsville; grandparents: Angie Allen Freeman of Campbellsville, Gerry Freeman of Mount Vernon, Kentucky, Lori and Richard Conant of Delaware, Ohio, David Clarke of Columbus, Ohio and David Holcomb of Columbus, Ohio; great-grandparents: Joyce Allen Russell of Campbellsville, Herman Freeman of Cincinnati, Ohio, Edwin and Kitty Stahl of Columbus, Ohio and Thelma Holcomb of Columbus, Ohio.

The funeral service for Kara Joyce Freeman will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Auberry – Gupton & Chandler Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery.
Visitation is requested after 11 A.M. Sunday until the time of the service at Auberry – Gupton & Chandler Funeral Home.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and those can be made at the funeral home.

OBITUARY
Mrs. Eunice Montgomery Wright of Campbellsville was born on September 11, 1935 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Lester Montgomery and Hallie Akin Montgomery and departed this life on October 8, 2019. She was 84 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Eunice was employed by Fruit of the Loom as a folder and time work. She was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
She united in marriage to Fred M. Wright on April 3, 1957, who survives.
Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter: Connie L. Wright of Campbellsville; Two grandchildren: Mitchell L. Wright of Campbellsville and William D. Wright of Washington State; One sister: Linda M. Lawson of Lebanon Junction; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by two brothers: Eudell Montgomery and Dencil Montgomery.

The funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Wright will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Eastern Time, Monday, October 14, 2019 at Auberry – Gupton & Chandler Funeral Home with entombment at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Clifton Cowan officiating.
Visitation is requested after 10:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the service at Auberry – Gupton & Chandler Funeral Home.
