James Robert Button of Campbellsville, the son of the late Robert Thomas and Kathryn (Hunt) Gardner, was born February 12, 1953 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Friday, April 5, 2024 in Campbellsville at his home. He was 71 years of age.
He was a former home improvement contractor.
Survivors include a son and daughter: James Robert Button II and his wife Katie of Louisville and Kathryn Kirtley of Bowling Green.
Also surviving are five grandchildren: Lillian Debord, Karstun Kirtley, Kee Kirtley, Jeremiah Button and Lucy Button and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family chose cremation and a private celebration of life will be scheduled at a late date.

Dinah Jeanette Smith of Campbellsville, KY, the Daughter of the late Kenneth Virgil Campbell and Phyllis Jean Coomer Akin Campbell, was born April 10, 1962, in Hinsdale, Illinois, and departed this life on April 11, 2024, in Campbellsville. She was 62 years of age.
She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, fishing, and keeping up with family on Facebook.
She is survived by her husband David Lee Smith, four children: Lee Franklin and wife Tasha of Campbellsville, Waylon “Bo” Franklin and wife Michelle of Campbellsville, Adam Franklin of Illinois, and Alex Cassidy and wife Stephanie of Edmonton. Three step-children: Chad Smith and wife Margaret of Campbellsville, John Smith of Lexington, and Brandon Smith of Mannsville.
One sister: Karren Loy and husband Howard of Columbia, Bill Dickey Akin and wife Angelica of Birmingham, Illinois, and a step-brother: Larry Akin and wife Rhonda of Alabama.
Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A complete list will be announced later.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life Dinah Jeanette Smith on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Brockman Cemetery.
Bro. DeWayne Norman will officiate.
The family has requested visitation on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Marcus Scott Wisdom, age 75 of the Pierce community of Green County passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice, and their four children, six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
His life was celebrated with a private family ceremony with burial in the Wisdom Family Cemetery in Green County.
Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and can be made at the funeral home.
